Reverse Harem
Why Choose
Mafia Daughter
Forced Proximity

*This is my honest review, and my opinions, As someone who loves spice and RH

From the first chapter I was pulled in and wanting more, Sophia is the daughter of a mafia king, so there was no better way than to protect her with three smoking hot bodyguards Rafe, Dante and Knox (and y’all already know she’s wellll protected) 🫦🙈

Fed by the spicy scenes, and I blushed hard over some intimate moments, overall I was very happy with this read, and I highly recommend! If you love Mafia drama and a why choose reverse harem filled with hot intense moments, this is definitely for you!

This was my first Hannah Ryder book and omggg I will be back for more because she delivered plot, spice and drama!

🤍 A special thanks to Hannah for allowing me an advanced copy of Claimed By The Sinners! 🤍

3 and Half Star Rating
Rounded up to 4 stars after letting my thoughts marinate
I want to start off this review by thanking the amazing Hannah for allowing me to read this book early. I am forever thankful and honored. My review is a honest reflection of my feelings towards this book.
I always strive to give honest reviews regardless of the negative/ positive feelings I have to give a constructive critique of the book. Let’s get into it.
What do you get when you get a crime heiress who is set to marry a man she has no interested in marrying and three body guards who secretly but not so secretly want her for themselves.
You get Claimed by Sinners by Hannah Ryder.
I have been reading Hannah’s books for a bit now and going in to this book I expected hot men and a lifetime move kind of vibe and for the most part i got it.
There was hot men and some spicy scenes that I was pretty much skimming cause im just not in the mind set to read them. I did love the ending scene, you know which one when you read it.
I’ll be honest and say that it may have to do with reading so many of her books back to back that left me a little unsatisfied with this novel. I don’t really expect a masterpiece when I pick up any book but feel like I picked the is book up at the wrong time.
The characters and plot were pretty paint by the number that I wish had been fleshed out a little bit more in terms of world building and relationship building.
The plot was pretty straight forward as well and had everything set in order too conveniently for my tastes.
I’m pretty sure this is supposed to be a series? But I could be wrong.
Overall not a bad book but just not the vibe for me. Which again could be just cause of my tastes in the moment.
If you love:
Mafia worlds
reverse harem romance
Spicy as sin hot scenes
This book is for you.

The storyline was gripping, passionate, and filled with secrets and betrayal. The FMC Sophia is the secret daughter of a mafia boss, however, the secret was kept from HER. The MMCs Knox, Rafe and Dante have been sworn to protect the FMC throughout her whole life, her personal bodyguards. Little did they expect to all fall for the same girl.

The story wasn’t confusing and it flowed very well. I loved the action scenes the most, Sophia is honestly badass and strong. I wouldn’t be able to do what she did and not suffer from serious PTSD. The spice was hot, and didn’t take over the whole story. Some things were predictable but overall enjoyed the experience.

Claimed by the Sinners is one of those reads that grabs you from the very first page and doesn’t let go until the very end. Hannah has once again crafted a story that is equal parts suspenseful, passionate, and completely addictive. This is a mafia why-choose romance that not only delivers on the steam but also brings depth, danger, and a plot filled with shocking revelations you won’t see coming.

Sophia, the FMC, is such a compelling character. She’s strong, yet vulnerable, navigating a life that has been turned upside down after uncovering a hidden family secret. What begins as confusion quickly transforms into a journey of resilience and discovery. She’s thrown into life-threatening situations, forced to confront the truth, and ultimately finds herself stepping up to claim her place in the family business. What I loved most about her journey is the way she grows into her strength, proving that even when everything seems stacked against her, she’s capable of taking control.

And then we have the men, three unique, magnetic characters who each bring something entirely different to Sophia’s world. Knox, the brilliant and calculated tech genius, has a complicated history tied to Sophia’s family, making his loyalty and love all the more intense. He’s the quiet mastermind with eyes and ears everywhere. Donte and Rafe, her bodyguards, are just as captivating, dangerously attractive, fiercely protective, and utterly devoted. Both men feel an undeniable pull toward Sophia, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. Together, Knox, Donte, and Rate balance each other out while surrounding Sophia with a love that’s as passionate as it is protective.

The suspense in this book kept me hooked, the romance had my heart racing, and the twists left me speechless. Hannah does an amazing job blending danger with desire, family loyalty with betrayal, and independence with romance. If you’re a fan of mafia romance, why-choose dynamics, and strong heroines who find their power, this is absolutely a must-read.

📚✨ ARC REVIEW ✨📚
Claimed By the Sinners by Hannah Ryder
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars)

Thank you to Hannah Ryder and @booksprout for providing a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sophia is engaged to marry Marcus when her world is flipped upside down. She learns that she is actually the daughter of a mobster, and she was promised to Marcus as part of a deal between their families. Distraught, she turns to Rafe, Dante, and Knox, the men chosen to protect her.

Rafe, her former lover, can't stay away even as he runs hot and cold. Dante, who guarded her as a child, sees she's no longer the little girl he once knew. Knox, who once protected her mother, wonders if history is repeating itself.

As they work to keep Sophia safe from her father and fiancé, each man begins to fall for the sweet mafia princess, and she falls for them in return. Her wedding day is bumped up, and Sophia must decide - will she be the dutiful daughter, or will she risk it all to have everything (and everyone) her heart desires?

I love a morally grey MMC, and with this book, I was lucky enough to get three! These men check all of the boxes: sexy, devoted, and willing to do anything to protect their woman. Honestly, I wouldn't have wanted to choose either... though if it came down to it, I want silver fox Knox and his tech expertise. He knows where to find the places the cameras can't record (IYKYK).

I enjoyed the mafia storyline. It meant there were real risks to their love, creating a delicious tension. And the end? Absolute perfection. Sophia got to unleash her inner badass babe, and I am here for it!

For fans of: 💍 Arranged marriage | 🔫 Mafia romance | 👨‍👨‍👨 Reverse harem | 🌹 Forbidden love | 💔 Second chance | 😈 Morally grey MMCs | 👑 Mafia princess

ARC REVIEW

Publishes September 18, 2025

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Thank you to Hannah Ryder for the opportunity to join your ARC team and providing this ARC! All opinions are my own.

Synopsis: The story follows a young woman as she learns her life has been a lie and she comes to terms with her true history and legacy. On the journey she bonds with the men she had as bodyguards during different parts of her life all the while learning what she wants for herself and how to get it. You will also follow the viewpoints of each of the men through the story and learn of their own histories, characters, and actions.

Thoughts: I had a hard time putting this book down! This is my first book of the author, and the story kept me engaged and wanting to know what came next. It was easy to follow, the mysteries were intriguing and at times suspenseful providing a good plot that kept me reading, and the chemistry was spicy. I felt that the characters could have a little more development to make this a 5 star read. I often found myself wanting to know more about what the characters were thinking during certain dialogue scenes, but this factor didn't take away from the enjoyment I found in reading the book. Each character was unique and they all brought something to the relationship with the FMC, which is why I love reverse harems, especially when done well like this one. The ending wrapped up the story wonderfully and brought warmth to my heart and smiles to my face.

I recommend this book for those that enjoy strong female leads who don't have to choose between the men she wants in a mafia setting that are looking for something engaging, steamy, and fun to read.

From beginning to end, this book was very detailed. From the exposition to the resolution Hannah provided much needed information to make a complete story. A story that is filled with suspense, romance, and shocking revelations. Make sure you read this, because who doesn’t like a mafia, why-choose book?

The FMC, Sophia, is a very strong individual who is confused within her life. Her whole life has been flipped upside down when she finds a hidden secret. So she sets herself up on a journey that leads her to into life threatening circumstances. Along this path she is put in harms way but learns to conquer and take over the family business, while also falling for three body guards.

The MMC’s are all truly unique in their own ways. Knox is a very intelligent man who was originally in love with Sophia’s mother. He is the computer tech who knows all the details, with eyes and ears everywhere. Donte and Rafe are good looking individuals who are hired to protect Sophia. They both had a gravitational pull towards her. These three men all love Sophia in their own ways and would do anything to keep her safe.

These reverse harems of Hannah’s have you on the edge of your seat. There is so much spice that it makes you giddy. I do recommend this book for all those mafia romance readers. Hannah did another amazing job on this book. I cannot wait to read your next book!

Claimed by the Sinners by Hannah Ryder – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Hannah Ryder delivers a dark and addictive mafia reverse harem romance that’s equal parts tension, danger, and heat. The story of a runaway heiress discovering her mafia legacy—and the three ex-bodyguards who won’t let her go—makes for a gripping, binge-worthy read.

What I Loved:

The chemistry is electric—passionate, possessive, and impossible to put down.

Ryder keeps the pacing tight, with constant action and twists to hold your attention.

The mafia backdrop gives the romance a dangerous, gritty edge that fits the story perfectly.

What Could Be Better:

Some characters could have used more backstory and depth to make their choices hit harder.

The ending felt a little quick—I wanted just a bit more time with the characters after all the build-up.

Overall:
Claimed by the Sinners is a steamy, fast-paced ride that fans of dark romance and why-choose dynamics will love. It’s not flawless, but it’s definitely a thrilling, satisfying read—solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Why choose romance? Because one hero is never enough—especially when the men are bodyguards, tied to the mafia, and completely devoted to her.

She’s lived her whole life thinking it was one thing… until a single overheard conversation shatters everything she thought she knew. Suddenly, the truth comes crashing in, and with it—the men who’ve been protecting her from the shadows.

They were supposed to just watch over her. Keep her safe. But lines blurred, sparks flew, and once boundaries were crossed, there was no going back. The chemistry? Absolutely piping hot! 🔥 The tension builds until it practically crackles off the page.

Add in a surprise pregnancy twist, mafia secrets, protective bodyguards, and a romance that refuses to follow the rules—this story delivers heat, heart, and one unforgettable happily-ever-after.

If you’re looking for a spicy, emotional, and action-packed why choose romance, this one is a must-read!

Claimed by the Sinners by Hannah Ryder is a reverse harem spicey romance based in the Mafia trope.  SOLD.  What does that mean for us the reader?!  We get the FMC mafia heiress coming into her own, and her protective MMC TIMES THREE!!!  I thought this book did a great job of building the storyline and layering in the connection between the three bodyguards with our FMC Sophia.  The first interaction we get is meeting Rafe, Sophia’s bodyguard who had a bit of a fling with her previously that he hadn’t quite gotten over.  This is transparent in the storyline, so we feel that connection pretty quickly.  Rafe becomes an instant first favorite of mine.

One thing I loved about this book was the dialog scenes!!!  For me, this lets us be “a part of the conversation” between the characters, and our thus feelings and engagement for the characters strength with them because of those conversations!  I prefer character dialog over the ‘internal push and pull. 🙌

Spice kicking in at about 35%, and hits hard. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

Claimed by the sinners was everything! A story full is romance, secrets and lots of spicy🥵

It's a reverse harem where Sophia discovers that her life isn't what it seems. Turns out she's not just a "normal" person, she's the heir to the Marchetti family, a mafia organization.

By her side are three bodyguards (Raphe, Dante, and Knox) who have each been part of her life at different stages. Between them, there are moments filled with tension that eventually lead to forbidden desires.

Even though they know they shouldn't get involved with her, not only because of her role as the heir but also because Sophia is engaged, the secrets that come to light complicate everything, and eventually, it all blows up.

I was so hooked on this book! I loved the dynamic between the characters and how each of them brought something meaningful to Sophia's life. And the chemistry... wow. They would give everything for Sophia🛐

Claimed by the Sinners is a contemporary, reverse harem, bodyguard, mafia romance with forced proximity, and a surprise pregnancy.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the twists and turns, the surprises, the danger, and the spice. I loved Sophia. I loved how brave she is, what a strong woman that she is, and the way she handles everything that is thrown her way. I also really loved her men, Knox, Dante, and Rafe. I loved their individuality, their persistence at keeping Sophia safe, and their chemistry with Sophia.

This was a well written story with a great plot, characters, flow, and pace. The character development, relationship development, storytelling, storyline, and world building are all awesomely done as well.

If you, love a strong FMC, have a why choose attitude, are in to spice, and like all the goodies that come along with a mafia romance, then I'd definitely recommend this book.

This was my first time reading this trope, and I found it both exciting and enjoyable. Packed with tension, action, spice, and an addictive reverse harem twist, this story pulled me in and kept me turning the pages.

With a strong FMC, a trio of irresistible bodyguards, mafia family drama, and multiple POVs, there’s plenty here to keep things interesting. The characters are all likable, and the pacing really ramped up toward the end, leaving me eager for more.
This was also my first read by Hannah Ryder, and I’ll definitely be picking up more from her in the future!

I finished this book and I don't know what I said about it.

So, Hannah Ryder did a great job writing this book. This book is about Mafia worlds, reverse harem romance, and spicy as sin hot scenes. However, the Mafia world is not my thing. The plot story is great, it would keep you going until you finish it. It takes me to finish it in one day because I wanted to know if Sophia made it by out of hell Mafia what her own father put her in. And how three ex bodyguards are able to keep Sophia safe from her own father who does evil crimes. I couldn't reveal the truth about Sophia's family.

The end of book, it's cute and great way to start the family.

Thank you so much Hannah for this arc and i loved it.
Sophia is such a layered heroine strong, confused, and determined to find the truth about her life while resisting the overwhelming pressure of her family's expectations. I was so invested in her journey because she felt real and relatable, even amidst all the chaos.

TROPES:
REVERSE HAREM
FORBIDDEN ROMANCE
DARK SECRETS & HIDDEN IDENTITIES BILLIONAIRE/DANGEROUS MEN
PROTECTOR DYNAMIC
FOUND FAMILY

The chemistry between Sophia and these three men is slow-burning, teasing, and absolutely tantalizing. I loved that it wasn't a cliché "one man wins her heart" story instead, the focus is on the complex dynamics between them, full of tension, power struggles, and mutual need.

This book has enough steam to fog up your reading device!

Sophia’s world flips upside down faster than Ross yelling, “We were on a break!” and she ends up tangled with three very different men and also her protectors:
broody Rafe, flirty Dante, and strategic Knox.
Watching her navigate danger, romance, and some very complicated
feelings is addictive.
Their personalities clash, complement, and complicate each other, which keeps the tension deliciously high (and Sophia... well, very busy).
The book is super easy to read — you’re hooked from the very first chapter and suddenly it’s 2 a.m. and you’ve finished the whole thing: totally binge-worthy!
There’s drama, danger, and enough sexual tension to power New York City.

I received an ARC of this book, all opinions are my own.

From being told lies to being told the truth from guards who she then falls in love with, but still unsure on who is telling the truth. She does not believe anyone but yet there is an arranged marriage that she does not want, she wants to do things her way.

I just can not get enough stories like this, it has gripped me in since chapter 1, the writing style this author has done to the plot to everything, just makes everything seem real like you are there living Sophia's life falling in love with three beautiful men who had protected her all her life even one being in the family for so long.

Three beautiful men bring so much to loving her and cherishing her waiting for her to claim them knowing who she is and where she is from, always being by her side watching over her.

I thought this book had just enough suspense to it that once I really got into it, it became a page turner that I couldn't wait to find out how it ended. I'd give this book 4.5 stars because the characters were complex especially the 3 main male characters Rafe, Dante, and Knox. The main female character Sofia was pretty straight forward with how she was written. I liked that they didn't want Sofia to get her hands dirty and didn't want her to be corrupted by the world they live in. I could continue with my thoughts this book but then I'd be writing spoilers and typically the only person I give spoilers to or book updates to is my partner. Overall I enjoyed the book took me a few days to read it, but I finished it this morning.

Claimed by the Sinners follows Sophia Sterling, a young woman who leads a very sheltered life in what one could call a gilded cage. Her father, Richard, has plans for Sophia to marry Marcus for both power and influence and the young woman is hesitant, but really doesn’t have any choice.. but then an eavesdropped conversation changes everything. Panicked when Sophia learns the truth, that she’s adopted, that her biological father is actually ruthless Mafia leader, Vittorio Marchetti, and that her entire life was/is a lie, she runs as far as she can. When her father discovers she’s gone, he sends three of his best men; Knox, Dante Romano, and Rafe Donovan to find her and bring her back. Now she’s faced with the same future, marrying Marcus, but will she find a way to run once again?

If you love dark romance books with mafia vibes and reverse harem, this book is for you.

The life is Sophia (the FMC) is flipped upside down when she discovers secrets about her and her family. She now knows who she can trust.

The MMC’s (yes you read that right, they’re 3, so if you don’t love why choose, this book is not for you) are her bodyguards and are exceptionally unique. I got attached so fast to them. They were supposed to protect her and watch her but along the way, they’re falling in love with her.

This book is full of mysteries, betrayal, grief, pure strength and a surprise pregnancy. Add with that mafia world, extremely good written spicy scenes and an exceptional love story.

This is book one in the Empire of Sin series, and it was a fast read that kept me turning the pages.

Sophia’s world flips upside down when she discovers she is the heir to a feared mafia empire and not the girl she believed herself to be. Surrounded by betrayal, secrets, and danger, she ends up back under the watch of the three bodyguards who have protected her all her life. Knox, Rafe, and Dante each bring something different to her world, and their devotion to keeping her safe never wavers.

While I enjoyed the tension, danger, and steamy moments, I wished the characters and world had been a bit more developed. I loved the concept and the emotional sparks between them, but I wanted just a little more depth to match the heat.

This was still a quick and engaging read, and I think readers who love reverse harem mafia romances full of spice, danger, and protective men will enjoy it.

Here is another great mafia why choose romance with all the spicy fun and twisty plot elements that we all love to see! Definitely another 5⭐️ from me! Then again I’m easier to please than most 😂

Here I think is the first time I actually don’t relate to any of the characters but I still felt connected to them through their struggles and how of course I, and mostly everyone, empathize with them. So I applaud the author for finding a way to write this in such a way that even if you don’t relate, you can still connect 👏🏻

I’m honestly super excited to see what else this author puts out and you know I’ll be here to share it in my typical crazy fashion 🤪

UMM BODY GUARDS!! I really enjoyed this book, I flew through it! Usually I'm not a huge fan of surprise baby but I felt that Hannah Ryder did it well, it didnt feel too awkward or thrown in for an extra trope.
The MMCs - Knox, Dante, and Rafe - are wonderful morally grey protectors, AND I ATE IT UP! There backgrounds with Sophia felt well developed.
Then there is Sophia, the beautiful mafia princess. She is strong and a spitfire, and needing to be protected from family secrets.
The chemistry is soooo good! Definitely recommend!.

I don't know what it is about Mafia men needing to be a**holes, but damn if those three men didn't change the narrative on this one. Giving Sofia the life she deserved.

Sophia is just a bad ass!! I love her spirit and how she takes no shit!!
Rafe,Dante, and Knox. Damn these men will for sure burn the world down for their girl, or at least give her the matches to do it herself.

Hanna Ryder really knows how to write a why choose reverse harem ❤️

I received this book as an ARC from the Author.

Sophia carries the spirit of a true Mafia Princess—commanding, even before she realized it herself. I enjoyed the added layer of Dante and Knox’s devotion to Isabella, though I wish there had been a moment where Knox opened up about his love for her and their past. It would’ve given Sophia a deeper glimpse of her mother through someone who truly loved her. I also loved that Sophia embraced her sexuality without shame, making it clear the men could either get on board with her wanting all of them or get lost.

When I saw mafia + reverse harem.. I was like SIGN ME UP. Im glad I got the opportunity to read this book as an ARC.

We have a mafia princess who doesn’t know she’s a mafia princess until she overheard an argument that turns her whole world upside down. She gets involved with THREE of the bodyguards hired to keep her safe and it’s just chaos after that.

This story pleasantly surprised me and I loved every minute of it. Hannah did a great job with the characters and it had just the right amount of spice.
