The Accidental Christmas

Rate this book
He came to Cannon Beach to escape Christmas. She came seeking safety. Neither expected to find love.
In December, retired police officer Hendrix Becker shuts down his quiet RV park on the Oregon coast to disappear from the world. Haunted by a tragic Christmas past, solitude has become his only refuge.

But this year, someone stays behind.

Josephine Collins, with her young son, has nowhere else to go when danger from her past resurfaces.

Against his instincts, Hendrix lets them stay. What begins as a tense arrangement slowly softens as Josephine’s courage and her son’s laughter begin to penetrate the ice around his heart. As trust builds, so does something deeper—something neither of them expected.

But Josephine's past isn't done with her yet. And when the threat gets too close, Hendrix must confront his own ghosts if he wants to protect the woman and child who’ve become his reason to believe again.

Emotional, suspenseful, and full of heart, The Accidental Christmas is a romance about second chances, quiet bravery, and finding hope when you least expect it.

The Accidental Christmas was such a sweet read that I found it hard to put down. The characters come alive on the page as though they’ve been your friends for life. Hendrix has his reasons for hating Christmas, but he's respectful to Joey and Ryder, who love it. Slowly, he realizes that he can have Christmas in his life by seeing it through their eyes. He was such a sweet protector of Joey and Ryder, who needed his love and protection. There’s no better way to go into the holidays than having read a book that inspires you and offers hope and joy.

I'd recommend this if you are in the mood for a mild holiday romance about a retired police officer who doesn't like Christmas and the single mom struggling to raise her young son that helps him see the joy in the season again.

Overall, I rate it 3.5⭐out of 5 based on the following: 🤩Enjoyment - 3.5; 👥Characters - 3.5; 📖Plot - 3.5; 🗺️Atmosphere/Setting - 6; and🖋️Writing - 3.5 with the first 3 categories being most important.

What worked for me:
• Hendrix's relationship with Joey's son

What didn't work for me:
• It was a good story, but didn't grab me as much as some of Foster's other books have.

This is a multi-author series, and this was the first one I've read from it!

Hendrix owns an RV park on the Oregon coast. He hates Christmas, due to a tragic circumstance in his old life as a detective, so he closes the park for all of December. That way he doesn't have to deal with everyone's relentless holiday cheer. But, one of his tenants really can't afford to vacate, and given that she's a mom of a young son (and how hot she makes him), he can't seem to bring himself to kick her out.

Joey and her son Ryder are barely making ends meet. She is low-key hiding from her scumbag ex, and trying to keep food on the table for her son, and she cannot afford to move right now, regardless of Hendrix's silly December policy. But, once he agrees that they can stay, and the three of them are alone in the big, empty RV park, she gets to know him a lot better. She's always liked him too much, and this proximity isn't helping that situation at all.

Hendrix and Joey had big attraction and chemistry, once they finally gave in and let themselves feel it. I really enjoyed their interactions, and their banter. Ryder was such a sweet kid, and I loved how much Hendrix cared about him too. I don't always enjoy kids in romance books, but he was a wonderful character.

Overall this was a sweet, and heartwarming (while still being sexy!) novella, and I really enjoyed myself reading it! I'm definitely going to see which other stories in the collection are available!

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This review is my personal opinion, voluntarily given.

Lori Foster writes the best people and gives them enough suspense and interactions to keep the reader turning the pages. Always. The Accidental Christmas was exactly what I know I'll get when I pick up one of her books. This time with a reluctant but amazing hero, a strong but endangered heroine, the cutest kid ever and a fight to protect them from her violent ex. Perfection.

I loved Hendrix. Even when he was being a bah humbug isolationist you can tell he's a really good guy. It's obvious that while he's down now he hasn't lost his ability to care and protect. Joey is strong. Maybe not from the beginning when she realized what a horrible man her husband was but she does what it takes to get away. She's making ends meet, barely, tutoring and living in a cabin Hendrix owns.

Drawn to each other from the beginning nothing happens for nearly a year. Joey is healing her heart and Hendrix isn't really healing instead hiding his heart behind a grumpy exterior. When Joey breaks through to him the flood gates rush open and soon Hendrix is loving having Joey and Ryder in his life. When danger comes to call, he's ready and confronts Joey's ex head on. Joey is amazing in the situation with her ability to jump in, call 911 and describe what's happening. She's not one to stay in Hendrix's house like he instructed. She needs to do whatever she can to help her man.

My one frustration with this story? It's too short! I would have loved to see more of this family in the making. Not that the story is lacking in anyway, I'm just a fan of falling into a book for a long story.

Read this book. Especially if you like your romance with an edge of tension.

The Accidental Christmas is a short story set in the Wild Rose Point series, that is a 6-book series set in Wild Rose Point Oregon featuring Ms. Foster and a handful of other talented authors. The Accidental Christmas features Hendrix Becker and Josephine “Joey” Collins.

Hendrix is a retired police officer who very much enjoys the solitude winter months bring to his RV Park. He usually has no bookings in December and closes for the month to have time for himself. Christmas for Hendrix is not a time for good memories, so he does his best to avoid the whole month. This year, however, Josephine and her son Ryder are still there, and that bothers him in more ways than one.

Joey and Ryder have been at the RV park for nearly a year, staying to themselves, blending in and making sure their landlord has no reason to evict them. Not that she hasn’t noticed Hendrix, a girl would need to be blind not to notice. They even developed a friendship of sorts, but even as she grew more comfortable, she kept parts of her past quiet. She is just trying to get by, making enough money to stay at the RV park and get Ryder something nice for Christmas.

I love the way Ms. Foster weaves a tale that draws you in and makes you feel like you are walking right beside these new friends. I usually don’t like short stories for the simple fact of them being over entirely too quickly. But as the weather changes, this feel good Christmas story with a touch of suspense is just what the doctor ordered. A short, sweet, compassionate, heartwarming story about simply realizing trust is something you can give again, even if you think it is broken forever.

A sweet romance about an ex-cop who can’t forget a nightmare situation that happened one Christmas, which had caused him to hate/avoid everything Christmas and a struggling single mom that will do everything she can to protect her son.

Hendrix Becker moved to Oregon to escape his memories of a Christmas call gone bad and is now the owner of the Wild Rose RV Park. Every December he makes sure there are no residents so he can enjoy his solitude in peace by avoiding everything Christmas.

Josephine Collins and her seven year old son Ryder, are the last residents in the RV Park and are hoping to convince Hendrix to allow them to stay through to the new year. Joey has no where else to go and no way to pay for it, she is hoping to be able to recover financially the first of the year when Ryder goes back to school and she can get another job.

Hendrix can’t force himself to kick them out, he has been drawn to them the entire year they’ve been at the RV Park. The more he learns about Joey and her situation, the more protective Hendrix feels and at the same time, Hendrix realizes their positive outlook on life despite their crappy situation has changed him and made more like he was prior to his nightmare of a Christmas call.

This was a short but sweet romance that shows the power of healing through trust and friendship. Joey and Hendrix had a solid friendship neither of them sought out in the year she lived at the park before becoming closer, trust being an easy thing to accept because of that friendship.

Hendrix Becker’s move to Oregon suits his desire for solitude when he needs it. The RV park he owns is busy nearly year round, but December is his. Looking forward to a quiet holiday season, one with complete isolation, is upset when Josephine Collins and her seven-year-old son Ryder are still on the grounds. Josephine, Joey, is more than a distraction that Hendrix would like to admit.

Joey’s rental has gone on for nearly a year, and she has been making ends meet by means of tutoring. Christmas is almost here and she is really hoping to buy something nice for Christmas, all while hoping she can continue her stay at the RV park. She has a story, but that story is her own.

Hendrix doesn’t dislike people, really. A former cop, in his second year of owning the RV park should prove that. But if anyone doesn’t fall in the unlikeable category, it certainly would be Joey. She is a quiet renter, and her son is well-behaved. He is drawn to her and that actually rather irritates him.

What an enjoyable story, but one that has a serious note, especially considering Joey’s former marriage and why she has extended her stay at the RV park. This compassionate and sweet story is part of the Wild Rose Point small-town romance series. Other interconnected stories in the series include stories by Maisey Yates, Delores Fossen and several other wonderful romance authors. While each story is standalone, the small town of Wild Rose Point in Oregon is just the place I would love to visit.

Many thanks to Lori Foster for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

The Accidental Christmas by Lori Foster
Wild Rose Point # 4

~ Perfect story to read tonight ~ All the feels and a truly happy ending for three wonderful people ~

What I liked:
* Hendrix: RV campsite owner, avoiding Christmas after horrific Christmas occurrence, attracted to Josephine, protective, begins to open his heart again one December
* Josephine: wonderful mother to Ryder, tutor, divorced from abusive controlling husband, protective, independent, empathetic, attracted to Hendrix
* Ryder: creative, artistic, curious, loving, remembers more than he should of his father, enjoys time with Hendrix
* The pantless Barbie-Wonder Woman scene
* The wasy Hendrix warms up as the story is told and thinking of him as a bit like The Grinch who’s heart grew
* The realistic dialogue that indicated maturity and honest communication between Josephine and Hendrix and also the way they communicated with Ryder in a positive and affirming way
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing
* That I felt a part of the story and was invested in the outcome
* The final chapter where everything is wrapped up nicely with a happy ending for the three main characters
* All of it except…

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Josephine’s ex-husband and his horrible family
* Hearing and thinking about the event that Hendrix experienced that turned him off to Christmas

Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Definitely

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Lori Foster excels in this heartwarming Christmas novella set in an Oregon RV park.
Hendrix Becker, owner of the park and former police detective, wants nothing more than to be left alone during the Christmas season. Past events haunt him and having people around during this hard time is more than he wants to even think about, much less deal with so he always closes the park during the month of December.
But closing this year brings a problem. Josephine (Joey) Collins and her young son Ryder have been living at the park in a small cabin for a year. Being a single mom is tough, especially at Christmas, so moving out of the park for a month is something she can’t begin to afford even if she had a place to go.
Reluctantly Hendrix allows them to stay with the agreement they will stay away from him. But time and proximity make that hard to do. But is it really such a bad thing? When danger from her past rears its ugly head Hendrix discovers that he is more than willing to share time and space with the adorable mom and son to keep them safe and maybe something more.
Watching the relationship develop between these three is amazing and I loved every minute of it. I have already read it twice!

What an amazing story that happens around the holidays. It has some intrigue and drama, and the best characters I have read in a long time. Both Joey (Josephine) and Hendrix have traumatic pasts they are both working thru and Ryder (Joey’s 7 year old young son) is doing his own “dealing”, in the best little-boy way.

Joey is such a strong person, at least imho, and loves her son deeply. She “notices” her landlord but keeps to herself. At first… Reading about her coming into her own was special to me and I loved how she learned to trust and to live. And Ryder…all the exuberance of youth, along with absolute trust in his mom and the world (with minor exceptions; you’ll read about those in the story)…trusting in Hendrix and helping Hendrix to deal with the world was just about the most special thing.

I loved these three! The growing relationship between them was heartwarming and their newfound reliance on each other made this a very special story, perfect for the holidays and beyond.

And I like to think of it as an Easter egg: the author weaves her love of nature into the story. Made me smile.

A WILD ROSE POINT STORY:
The Accidental Christmas by Lori Foster
Release date November 4, 2025

This is such a sweet story:

Detective Hendrix, Becker turned in his badge after a horrific incident on Christmas. He is now the owner of Wild Rose RV Park. He loves the month of December because the park is closed. He’s there alone and he doesn’t have to give Christmas another thought!

That is until Josephine Collins and her young son Ryder do not have the money to leave the RV park. Hendrix cannot force them to leave. It’s just not in his heart to do that. Josephine is all about Christmas. Her little cabin displays Christmas everywhere.

Hendrix figures out quickly that Josephine (Joey) is afraid of something. She is hiding from her ex-husband and his parents. Her ex husband is an alcoholic with anger management issues. Joey just wants to keep her son safe and happy. And Hendrix just wants to keep them both safe.

This is a lovely short story filled with friendship, love, and a bit of drama. This series is a collaboration between 17 amazing authors and I cannot wait to read the next installment.

Between the pages of The Accidental Christmas readers will meet a ex-cop who has sworn off Christmas and anything festive that goes along with it, and a young mother desperate to keep her son safe from the dangerous life they fled.

Usually when the month of December rolls around Hendrix Becker closes down his RV park and avoids any and all interactions with others, for fear of having to experience anything Christmasy. But this year not everyone wants to leave the park, Joey and her young son need to stay in the park, it's the only place they have to live. So, he reluctantly lets them stay, not realizing this one gesture is about to change all of their lives in ways they never could have predicted... and I absolutely love watching it all unfold.

The Accidental Christmas is a beautiful story of healing, friendship, trust, second chances, and finding love where you least expect it. If you like Christmas reads that give the heartstrings a nice little tug than you have to read this story, it's well penned words will touch your heart!

Hendrix Becker is a bit of a grinch, but I don’t blame him after a nightmare situation that happened on Christmas. Ever since that day he has done everything that he can to avoid that holiday. He owns Wild Rose RV Park and every year he makes sure no one stays over Christmas so he can enjoy his solitude.

This Christmas is different because Josephine “Joey” Collins and her son Ryder, are hoping to convince Hendrix to allow them to stay through the new year. They don’t have anywhere to go and she is broke, she is hoping to get a new job and get back on her feet. So, she is hoping Hendrix will allow the Christmas spirit, to allow them to stay.

What she doesn’t know is that he has been drawn to her the entire time she has been staying there, and the more he learns about her the more he wants to protect her. Will they be able to grow closer and a Christmas miracle happen for both of them?

This was a short read, but one that heals your heart. It was sweet, and I loved watching both of the main characters grow and heal through their friendship. This was a great read to start the holiday season, and I recommend this book.

Hendrix is a retired police officer who owns an RV campground on the Oregon coast that he shuts down during the month of December to hide away from the world and a tragic Christmas past. This year, his refuge is interrupted by a single mom and her son who won't leave. Josephine(Joey) and her son, Ryder, have nowhere else to go when danger from Joey's past resurfaces. Against his better instincts, Hendrix decides to let Joey and Ryder stay. As Hendrix spends time with Joey and Ryder, Hendrix realizes how lonely his life has been and finds the ice around his heart melting. Joey and Hendrix have been fighting their attraction to each other. Can Hendrix keep Joey and Ryder safe when Joey's past comes back for her? Will Hendrix and Joey give into their attraction for each other? Will Joey and Ryder turn Hendrix's house into a home? I loved The Accidental Christmas by Lori Foster. Hendrix and Joey are a great couple with amazing chemistry. I loved how Hendrix was with Ryder, and they would take walks and talk about "man stuff." This story is about Hendrix and Joey (and Joey’s son Ryder). Hendrix – owner of an RV park – keeps the park empty during December so he doesn’t have to celebrate the holiday, but Joey and Ryder don’t have anywhere to go so he agrees to let them stay through December. What follows is a sweet story where Hendrix learns to love the season again and Joey learns to lean on someone who is dependable. Add in a beautiful setting and a little suspense and you have a wonderful holiday story!

The only reason I went with four stars is because this book is missing the community/town element that is usually part of Foster’s stories. It makes sense to limit characters to show how much Hendrix pulls back from other people during the holiday, but it just gave the book a different feel and I wish there had been more of the town or community bleeding into the story as he opened himself up to the holiday.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my true and honest opinion.

The Accidental Christmas
Lori Foster
November 04,2025

This Christmas novel came out to us three days ago. The story is a delightful tale of a divorced woman who moves to Oregon. She moves into a small cabin at an RV Park owned by Hendrix Becker. The cabin was rented to them with the idea that they would be gone by December. He chose to keep the park empty during the holiday month. When he pays a visit to Joey and her son, things seem to go off kilter for him. Ryder is out front without pants pretending to be superwoman chasing villains. Joey is outside sweeping getting ready to start dinner. I was able to read this delightful story via a gift of the ebook of The Accidental Christmas from Lori and her staff. I absolutely loved this book. A pageturner, I purposely read it over the course of a few days so I was able to enjoy it. Normally I would have zipped through but was overwhelmed with her tale of two lonely people and a child who needed to celebrate and share. This novel is overwhelming, do not miss it!

Hendrix is an ex-cop who retires after a traumatic work incident and moves to the Oregon coast to run an RV park. For eleven months of the year it’s business as usual. For the month of December, however, he closes up shop to be alone with his memories. Until this year. The lovely star of his dreams and single mom, Josephine and her son, stay behind due to personal circumstances.

Josephine, aka Joey, has definitely noticed her landlord for the last year from afar, but between tutoring, trying to make ends meet, and taking care of her son, Ryder, Joey has little time for a love life. Especially after what her ex put her and her son through.

Maybe this season will bring a Christmas surprise to the these two lonely hearts…

Hendrix and Josephine’s novella was a heartwarming read, with a teensy touch of suspense, and a whole lot of charm and sweetness.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a great easy read. Hendrix is running a RV park on the Oregan coast, hiding from the world after a traumatic experience as a big city detective. Every year he closes the RV for the month of December for his own piece of mind and to be away from the Christmas cheer. This year he has a woman Joey and her son Ryder who have been there all year. HE has worked hard to not get close to Joey because he does not feel like he deserves good things. Joey and Ryder have had a rough few years due to her Ex-husband, Ted. When he realizes that Joey and Ryder don't have anywhere to go, he makes the exception to let them stay. As Hendrix spends more time with Joey and Ryder, he also opens himself up to a life and world beyond the RV. As these lives intertwine both Hendrix and Joey realize what they are both missing. Hendrix will do whatever it takes to protect both Joey and Ryder. This is a great short story with a happy ending.

Retired police office Hendrix Becker enjoys his new life as the owner of an Oregon RV park. He normally shuts the park down for the entire month of December for solitude due to demons from his past and because he can no longer tolerate Christmas and all that goes with it. But this year one of his tenants, Josephine “Joey” Collins, and her young son, Ryder, remain behind. Joey is down on her luck, in fear for her and Ryder’s safety, and needs just a little more time to get back on her feet. Hendrix reluctantly agrees to let her stay. As the two spend more time together, feelings begin to grow, which neither of them expected. But when Joey’s past catches up to her, will Hendrix be able to save her and Ryder?

A quick, sweet story filled with hope, suspense, danger, second chances, love, and new beginnings.

Hendrix is an ex-cop who owns an RV park. He wants to shut down for the season and spend Christmas alone because of a past that haunts him. Josephine (Joey) and her 7 year old son Ryder should have left for the season but they have nowhere to go. Against his better judgement, Hendrix lets them stay. As Hendrix spends more time with mother and son, he realizes how lonely his life is and even though he tries to fight it, he finds himself falling for both. Joey has her own haunted past that is catching up to her. Hendrix is the ultimate alpha hero and when the threat gets too close, he's there to save them. I love the relationship between Hendrix and Ryder. Ryder sees him for who he is and loves him. The "talk about man stuff" really got me. The main characters are complex and well built. This is a great, short holiday read with the HEA you're hoping for. I highly recommend this book. I received an advanced copy and this is my honest and unsolicited review.

Hendrix gave up his life as a police officer, after a violent incident during Christmas time that soured him from the festivities most people enjoyed. He became a successful RV owner & to avoid the holidays he shuts the park down until the new year. Single mother Josephine (Joey) & her 7 year old son Ryder has been living in one of the cabins & unlike everyone else, they haven’t left. She’s avoiding her alcoholic, unemployed ex husband & they have nowhere to go & her cash isn’t going to be enough for them to leave anyways. Hendrix has had his eye on Joey since the beginning & allows them to stay. Shortly after he realizes that Joey’s wary & always on the edge…..she eventually tells him it’s because she’s afraid her ex will show up. This book is a great romance book ,with a bit of suspense. I love when 2 people connect & can let go of their tragic pasts & form a new relationship. Ryder stole my ♥️ what a sweet kiddo! Thank you Lori Foster for entertaining us

This is a heartwarming story about overcoming pasts and taking second chances. Hendrix is a retired police officer who bought an RV park for its seclusion. He closes the park for all of December to avoid Christmas and the bad memories associated. Joey is one of his tenants in a small cabin. She and her young son, Ryder, can't afford to go anywhere. She's trying her best to provide happy Christmas memories for her son even though she can't afford much.

Hendrix and Joey are attracted to each other and grow closer since he doesn't have the heart to kick her out based on her circumstances. Hendrix also starts warming up his Christmas spirit after spending more time with Joey and Ryder. Things get dicey when Joey's ex finds her. Recommend reading this feel-good Christmas story as you'll love all the main characters.

This is my honest review from the advanced copy I received from the author.

Hendrix dislikes Christmastime and does his best to be alone and away from everyone to make it through the season and try to deal with bad memories. Joey is doing everything in her power to keep her son safe and give him the best holiday she can. When she doesn't leave the campground when it closes, Hendrix reminds her she shouldn't still be there. She lets him know that she is trying to make ends meet and could really use the extra time there to make a good holiday for her son. Hendrix is drawn to her and has tried to avoid being around her so he doesn't risk getting too close. When her son invites him for dinner he doesn't refuse, and they start to spend more time together because he realizes she's not in the safest situation with her ex. They get to know each other better as they spend more time together and Joey and her son may just be what he needs to overcome his past and start to enjoy Christmas again. Hendrix Becker prefers solitude especially during the Christmas season. After a tragic holiday he just wants to forget all about the holidays. So, he usually shuts down the park for winter to avoid having to deal with anyone. This year it is different. This year a Josephine Collins and her son are there and hiding from danger with no place else to go. The retired police officer can’t seem to send her away. Maybe it is time for face the past and protect the people who are beginning to mean a happy future for the solitary man.

Author Lori Foster never disappoints in her books, and The Accidental Christmas is a perfect example. It is a short story but packed with emotions, fun, danger, intrigue and romance. Hendrix, Joey and Ryder (the little boy) blend perfectly and give readers a look at what fortitude and hope can bring you – especially when you weren’t looking for it.

An absolutely lovely 5 star read!

When a grumpy/ grinchy campground owner decided to close the park down for the month of December he was hoping to avoid the Christmas season. Unfortunately, A single mother and her young son had nowhere to go and had hoped to stay.
While Hendrix hated all things Christmas, Joey and her son lived in a Christmas wonderland. They might be poor but they knew how to decorate.
There was more than money keeping Joey and Ryder there though. Her violent ex was searching for her. Luckily, Hendrix is a retired police detective and would protect them. Even before they started getting to know each other there were sparks. Hendrix not only was falling in love with Joey but also her son and would do whatever it took to protect them.
This was a short fast read but the Happily Ever After is the best Christmas gift you could get!

A few years ago, former police Hendrix Becker bought an RV park in Cannon Beach, Oregon to stay away from the memories of a Christmas Day that changed his life. To avoid anything Christmas related , he purposely closes the RV park in December. Everyone leaves except for single mom Josephine/Joey Collins and her sweet seven year old boy, Ryan.
Joey can’t afford to leave and is determined to make Christmas special for Ryan.
Somehow, mother and boy start melting Hendrik’s heart and the walls he has built around his heart. When Joey’s ex threatens her, it’s Hendrik who comes to the rescue.
Will Hendrix finally forgive himself for the past? Will Joey and Ryan help him heal and show him the wonders of Christmas and family?
Another engaging and delightful story by this talented author.

Former detective, Hendrix Becker turned in his badge a couple of years ago after a horrific call that affects him to today. He purchased a RV park and during the month of December he was expecting to close down and spend time in solitude, away from all the Christmas cheer. Unfortunately for him, Josephine Collins and her son Ryder is requesting to stay until the new year. At first he was not going to budge, he needed the alone time, but he saw the desperation Joey was trying so hard to hide. What also did not help was his attraction to her. For the past year he has tried to keep his distance but with the rest of the park closed they keep bumping into each other. The more time they all spend together, the more Hendrix gets involved. When he finally finds out what Joey has been going through, he is all in. He vows to protect her and Ryder, and the healing for all begins.

This was such a heartwarming novella and I had such a great time reading this story.

I loved Josephine and Ryder and the great mom Joey is to her son. she always put his needs in front of her.
Hendrix is the owner of the campground where Joey rents a small bedroom cabin. He drives likes everyone to be gone by December. When he let's Joey know she and Ryder need to leave, she panics. Hendrix can see there is a story.
Hendrix sees what a great mom Joey is and how Ryder is well mannered and kind. Ryder loves talking with Mr. Becker.
When Ryder invites Hendrix to stay for lunch. he can see that money is short and decides Joey and Ryder can stay.
Hendrix has a past that has left him needing peace but Ryder and Josephine are what Hendrix never knew he needed. Josephine finds that not all.men are like her ex and Hendrix is a dream come true foe her and Ryder.
Such a great short read Lori Foster.

I love a sweet holiday story and The Accidental Christmas does not disappoint. Hendrix Becker hates Christmas. He hates it so much that he empties out his RV park and ignores his family just so he can be a hermit during the holiday season. This year he has a problem because single mom Josephine and her son, Ryder, need a place to stay. They have lived at the park for the last year and they cannot afford to move out. Hendrix find himself in a dilemma because not only does he not want Josephine to move out, he finds himself enjoying the holiday and growing closer to Josephine and Ryder.
This story is absolutely heartwarming. Lori Foster has a talent for writing found families and strong characters. This is a shorter story so the focus is on the main characters and the story moves at a decent pace. It is a perfect combination of romance, family, and holiday magic.
