This was very disappointing. The author shares the calori e / protein breakdown on his posts but this is not included in the book . You are expected to work that out yourself . Quite pointless. The book is over priced given the author is an unknown . Don’t waste your money

I like the idea, the meals themselves I might modify but not a bad base

I had been following the author and lost weight even before the book was published. Those who only read the book missed out on the bigger picture. The protein and calories are in a file in the Facebook group, if needed. I do tend to think they should have been included in the book, but actually the author says its not the weight loss genre the was most people think, its all about satiety. The whole point of the book is how to eat in the most satiating way, in other words eating plenty of protein, fibre and nutrition, while maintaining calories at a moderate level. Hence every recipe is 500 calories, and filling. Follow along in the FB group and you will see many cannot finish a normal serving. You can use that how you like- tweak it up and down for your own weight loss journey- or just create the meals as they are. Some people like all the details and track as well - I tend to track intermittently, I just plug the recipes into Cronometer. Others don’t want to do that- either way this book is useful because of the high satiety factor.
I own many cookbooks and this is the first I have read cover to cover and have created, so far, about half the recipes. I intend to make them all. They are easy to make, tasty, filling, satisfying, nutritional, the husband likes them, and they are normal food, familiar and comforting. I have seen many people say they have learned to cook with this book- many people do not have the basics down, and this is a great place to start.
