Rage: A One Night Stand MC Romance Novel

Rate this book
She was mine from the moment I saw her, even if she was ten years older.
A woman in a wedding dress, drinking alone at a bar. She was stunning, curvy, and running from a betrayal that shattered her world. We shared one night—a collision of passion and desperation that seared itself into my soul. Then she vanished.
As a member of the War Brothers MC, my life is about brotherhood, fighting in the club’s underground fights, and protecting the innocent. I never expected that my job at the women’s shelter would lead me back to her. When she calls, in danger from the man she almost married, I’m the one who answers.
Now she’s under my roof and my protection. She’s my angel, a light in the shadows of my world, and she’s healing parts of me I thought were long dead. But our pasts refuse to stay buried.
An enemy is seeking revenge against me. They’ve made a fatal mistake—they’ve put her in their sights. They came for what’s mine, and now they’ll discover exactly why my MC brothers call me Rage.

Rage and Rose

Nothing like finding out on your wedding day that fiancé and best friend have been cheating on her for quite some time. Rose did what a lot of people would do, she left in her wedding dress, hit up a bar, and forget her problems under a hot, younger guy. The guy happened to be Rage who is a member of War Brothers MC. What had Rage reeling was that she up and left without a word.

When Rose ends up in trouble it is Rage who is called in to rescue Rose. It’s from that time on that Rage lays claim to Rose and will do anything to keep her safe. I fell in love with Rage and Rose and was so happy to see that they eventually found their way to their HEA.

✨ARC Book Review✨

I really liked this book. It was short and sweet, but still a fun read.

I felt bad for Rose when she found out her fiancé was cheating on her with her best friend. I don’t blame her for going to the bar to drink and forget about everything. Rage was so hot right from the beginning. Meeting Rose at the bar and being so supportive of her, I could definitely see how one thing led to another.

I really liked Rage’s character. He started supporting Rose from what felt like the moment they met. He seemed like an overall good guy. He was very self aware, but I hated how hard he was on himself.

Their lives overlapping after their one night stand was wild, but it also made the story fun. The book overall was fun and fast paced. I enjoyed the spicy scenes and how protective Rage was over Rose.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Rose found out on her wedding day outside the church that her best friend has been having an affair with her Groom … for a year!!!!!
She takes off in her limo and tells the driver to hit the bar . He takes her to the Crown Lodge where her reception was meant to be and that decision leads her to accept a drink with a gorgeous younger man that leads to a night to remember.
Back in reality Rose realises she can’t reconcile with Tyler who now ex, he doesn’t agree and gets aggressive. Fearing her history is repeating ( been there before) she calls a women’s refuge who sends someone to collect her …. A gorgeous younger man on a motorbike.
Love can develop from the unlikeliest of starts, regardless of age and lifestyles and means of meeting

I hadn't t read anything by this author before but the idea of reverse age gap always intrigues me. I love these stories! Rose finds out on her wedding day that her fiance and best friend were having an affair. So she does what any jilted bride would do and drowns her feelings at the bar when she meets a younger biker guy, Theo (Rage). She drowns her feelings in him that night too. She doesn't think she'll see him again until he helps her out of a bad situation and the rest falls into place where feelings develop. However, just when things seem perfect a scary situation unfolds that could jeopardize their future.

I enjoyed the story and for awhile it did feel realistic but a portion of it just seemed a little farfetched and rushed. I'm not a fan of instalove because it's just unrealistic but this story shows that you can't judge a book by their cover and to trust people. I felt like the main female character's weight was overly focused on but I love a reverse age gap. I would recommend for a spicy, slightly suspenseful book. 3.5 stars

Thanks to NetGalley and Bianca Ward for allowing me to review this ARC!

This was an ARC read
If insta attraction, not quite love is your thing then this could be the story for you. Unfortunately it wasn't for me.
I mean a one night stand after finding out on your wedding day that your fiance and best friend have been going at it for a year, is one thing. But these two just pulled trauma out of the air.
Rose's fiancé hit a wall, and she practically had to have counseling from the trauma, Rage wasn't much better. It was embarrassing, really, how needy they were at times.
Rose needed to leave her home after the incident and it was suggested she go to the local woman's shelter, all good. BUT, the shelter calls a biker, who then turns up at Rose's home, on a bloody motorbike! Its irrelevant that the biker is Rage, whom Rose just spent the night with. . . . . WHO DOES THAT, and why would any woman who's trying to get away from a bad situation, go with a biker!!?? and especially on his bike.
So, all in all, this was not a book I would read again, or recommended.
Im sorry, but there was literally nothing I enjoyed about it.

I really enjoyed Rage. It gave me exactly what I look for in an MC romance, a possessive, protective biker hero, a curvy heroine with real emotional depth, steamy chemistry, and enough danger to keep the pages turning.

The story opens with a great scene, Rage spotting a beautiful older woman in a wedding dress drinking alone at a bar after her world falls apart. Their one night stand is intense, raw, and full of desperate passion that clearly marks him. When she vanishes afterward, it leaves him haunted.

Later, his work at a women’s shelter brings her back into his life when she needs protection from the man she almost married!
From there, she ends up under his roof, and the real story unfolds as they heal old wounds while an enemy from his past targets her to get revenge!

What stood out most was the age gap dynamic, with Rose being ten years older. It felt refreshing and added a nice layer to Rage’s instant claim on her. He calls her his angel (and sexy cougar 😂) and light in his dark world, and it works because you see him backing it up with actions, not just words.
His fighter side and MC loyalty come through strongly, especially when threats arise, and you understand why his brothers call him Rage.

The suspense elements with her ex and his enemy are handled well, they create real tension without taking over the romance.
Both characters carry pain from their pasts, and watching them open up and support each other under one roof gave the book solid emotional weight alongside the heat.

If you’ve read the earlier War Brothers books, (I jumped in here, but I’ve earmarked the rest of the series to read 😜) then you’ll know (and love the characters)

It’s fairly classic for the genre, which I like, it’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, just delivers a satisfying, fast paced story with a strong protective hero and a heroine who grows stronger as the book progresses.

Great if you love MC stories with age gap, second chance after one night energy, and a hero who will burn everything down to keep his woman safe.

I’d recommend it to fans of the series or anyone who enjoys this trope done right.

It’s a solid, enjoyable read that hits the possessive biker romance spot perfectly.

This book had me hooked from the jump and I read it in less than a day and couldn't put it down. I don't think I have ever read a reverse age gap book and definitely not one with a curvier FMC. I enjoyed everything about this book the protectiveness of Rage, Rose finding her self and her voice again and of course all the supporting characters that I have come to know reading this series. This is a great series and I look forward to the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for my honest opinion

Rage was one of those books where I kept saying “just one more chapter” until suddenly it was 2 a.m. and I had fully ruined my sleep schedule for fictional bikers. Completely worth it.

Bianca Lee Ward created a story that felt equal parts emotional and explosive. Rage is exactly the kind of MC hero I love reading about: rough around the edges, fiercely loyal, intimidating to everyone else, but unexpectedly soft with the woman he loves. The chemistry between them was intense from the start, but it was the emotional connection that really sold me. Race showed a huge amount of character growth and Rose did as well. They made each other better people.

I also loved how the story balanced romance with real stakes. First of all, the beginning when they meet in the bar is one of the best meet-cutes I’ve read. On top of that, the danger, club dynamics, and tension kept things moving the whole time, but there were still quieter moments that gave the characters depth and made me care about them beyond the romance.

This book had heart, heat, and enough emotional punches to keep me fully invested from beginning to end. If you like protective biker heroes, found family vibes, and romance with a darker edge, Rage absolutely delivers. This is the first time I’ve read a novel with an age gap where the FMC is older and I thought it was really well done. This was a great palate cleanser read for me between some darker romances and I really enjoyed it.

What a gorgeous read Rage and Rose’s story was, I absolutely loved them ❤️❤️❤️ The WAR BROTHERS MC: Book 7 was fantastic. Rage is the best thing that could have happened to Rose, he’s sweet, loving and makes her feel seen. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤

I love Rage. The way you wrote his character, I could feel his youth come through. Especially at the beginning when his relationship was just starting to bloom. He's a little naive when it comes to his budding relationship with Rose. You can feel his frustration when he realizes something is "off" with Rose and he's trying to figure it out. You can feel his insecurity when he worries his lifestyle may be too much for her. You can feel what he feels in your written word. That's what made this book special for me ... the connection with the character. I've got one more book to read in this series and I've enjoyed everyone's story.

Rage and Rose are a couple that are meant to be together. They fall fast and hard for each other and this helps each of them heal from their own traumas. They have great banter and good character build. The plot is a solid one, but I did have a hard time believing a MC leader would change his life for someone after knowing them a few days. But, that aspect does play into the fast attraction between Rage and Rose. It has a sweet HEA.

Amazing. Loved Rage’s story. Rose was his person, he knew it. She knew Rage was hers as well but past trauma took her time to get there. Such good characters. Such good passion and love. Loved the MC drama and appropriate amount of violence. I cannot wait for the next.

Rage meets Rose when she is drowning her sorrows after finding out her fiancé had been cheating on her with her best friend - and from the lips of said best friend on her wedding day to be exact.

The story describes the developing relationship of 2 very different people.

A really enjoyable story.

I have read several of the War Brothers MC series.
Rage had a good story line and had couple spicy scenes but not much. I feel this book was missing something that the previous ones had yet I'm not sure exactly what's missing.
Liked the curvy older woman aspect a lot.
I was not into how much the MFC wanted the MMC to change so early on.

As a big fan of this series, dipping back into the War Brothers MC world is always a good time, and Rage was a fast, easy novella to breeze through.

That being said, it did fall a bit short for me compared to Bianca’s other work. My main issue was that I really couldn't connect with Rose. She felt way too much like a weak damsel in distress, and the constant "save me" vibe was just a bit too much for my taste.

The book had so much potential, especially since they brought in a reverse age gap, which I usually love, but they didn't actually explore it or do anything with it. Instead of high-stakes drama and a lot of action, the plot just felt a bit uneventful. I wanted more things to actually happen, more punch, and way more drama, but it ended up feeling a little too safe and lacked the intense angst I wanted.

It’s still a quick dose of biker drama for loyal fans of the universe, but I definitely needed Rose to have more backbone and the plot to have way more bite!

RAGE is the seventh instalment in Bianca Lee Ward’s contemporary, adult WAR BROTHERS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is twenty-four year old underground fighter Theo aka Rage, and thirty-four year old, jewelry designer Rose Wilder’s storyline. RAGE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers

Told from dual first person perspectives (Rage and Rose) RAGE follows in the wake of the almost wedding. Just minutes before walking down the aisle, Rose discovers her fiancé and her best friend have been engaged in an affair. As a runaway bride, Rose finds herself at a hotel bar where she will meet and spend one night with a man show knows only as Theo, the man with whom Rose will fall in love. Threats and emotional abuse find our heroine calling for help, help in the guise of the War Brothers MC. With her rescue, Rose will quickly become ensconced in the MC lifestyle, including falling for a man with anger issues of his own.

The world building follows Rose’s acclimation into the War Brothers MC, and her struggle with Rage’s underground fighting but a win in the ring for Rage, places a target on Rose’s back, a target she for which she refuses to lay down and cower.

The relationship between Rage and Rose begins as a one night stand-a runaway bride with an MC brother find solace and love in a hotel bar. Living with Rage, Rose finds her independence, while Rage discovers there is more to life than an underground fight. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including the members of the War Brothers MC, and their significant others. We are quickly introduced to Rose’s exTyler, and her ex best friend Kayla.

RAGE is a story of power and obsession, betrayal and infidelity, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive ; the characters are determined, desperate and dynamic.

Rage is the seventh story in the War Brothers MC series. It is the first story for me and this new author but won't be the last. I absolutely loved it.

Rose is ready to get married and it is her wedding day. She finds out that her fiance' has been cheating on her with her best friend. She is completely devastated and goes to a bar to drown her sorrows. A handsome man sees her and goes over to talk to her. Rose knows he is a younger biker guy but enjoys the conversation. He introduces himself as Theo and they are immediately attracted to each other. She has low self-esteem and doesn't understand why a man who looks like him is talking to her. They decide to spend the night together. She wakes up the next day and leaves thinking she will never see him again.

Theo is actually Rage and is a member of the War Brothers MC. He had the best night of his life and wakes up after Rose has left. He is upset that she left and wants to see her again.

Rose goes home and sees her ex. He wants her back and becomes angry with her. She is scared and calls for help. The woman tells her to hide and they are sending help. Rose has no idea that it is Rage who comes. He is happy to see Rose again but is angry that she is in this situation. He vows to keep her safe and takes her to a women's shelter. His MC works with the shelter. He talks to the members of the MC and then goes to bring Rose into his clubhouse so that she can be cared for.

I loved the reverse age gap trope. It worked really well in Rose and Rage's story. I loved how Rose was so strong even when she didn't think she was. She made the right decision in calling for help against her controlling ex. I love how Rage was so protective of Rose. He was such a good influence on her and wanted to make her feel better about herself. He saw her for who she was. I look forward to more from this talented author.

This motorcycle club romance delivers a compelling mix of danger, healing, and second chances, wrapped around an age-gap love story that keeps the pages turning.

The heroine immediately captures your sympathy. Left devastated by betrayal and literally fleeing her wedding day, she’s at one of the lowest points in her life when she crosses paths with Rage. Their initial connection is intense, but what makes the romance work is what happens afterward. As she rebuilds her confidence and sense of self, the relationship develops beyond attraction into something deeper.

Rage is everything readers expect from an MC hero—protective, loyal, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep the people he loves safe. Beneath his tough exterior is a man carrying old wounds, and watching him open his heart to someone who brings light into his life adds emotional depth to the story. His devotion to both his club and the women he helps through his work at the shelter makes him particularly easy to root for.

The suspense elements keep the story engaging, with threats from both the heroine’s past and Rage’s enemies creating plenty of tension. The motorcycle club brotherhood is another highlight, providing a strong sense of found family and support throughout the novel.

While some plot developments follow familiar MC romance patterns, the emotional journey of the characters helps the story stand out. The age-gap dynamic is handled with maturity, focusing more on their emotional connection and mutual healing than on the difference in years.

Overall, this is a satisfying MC romance with a strong protective hero, a resilient heroine, and enough action and emotion to keep readers invested from beginning to end. Fans of possessive-but-devoted bikers, found family, and romantic suspense will likely enjoy the ride.

So, a bride walked into a bar…sounds like the beginning of joke. Except for Rose, it wasn’t a joke. Her life had just imploded. She lost her groom and best friend to betrayal. What’s a girl to do when a younger, gorgeous, muscular biker named Theo asks her back to his room? Why, spend the most amazing night of her life with him, of course. Her ex wasn’t happy and he punched a hole in the wall near her face, so she ended up in a DV shelter affiliated with the same MC as Theo, known as Rage in the club. Rage had his own emotional baggage and fights in illegal fights when he needs to vent or earn money. Despite Rage being ten years younger, theirs was an intense physical and emotional relationship, but his fighting caused stress to their relationship.

The author did a good job with character development, creating wonderfully flawed, unique characters that you couldn’t help but cheer for and hope they got their HEA. The book is surprisingly deep and tackles tough issues like domestic violence, fight clubs, parental abandonment, depression, and rival MC violence. There were a lot of supporting characters to keep up with, with my favorites being the other women in the MC. The women are supportive of each other. The story was a steamy, emotional and engaging drama with enough scandal, tension, and suspense to keep the story entertaining. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books from this author.

Rose's wedding day doesn't go as planned; instead, she is left heartbroken. Fleeing the church, she looks for somewhere she can be alone.

Rage is at the party celebrating Twitch and Milly's engagement when his eyes fall upon the most stunning woman. When her husband doesn't turn up, he approaches her, hoping to strike up a conversation. What happens next is even better.

Rose realises she is going to have to face Tyler, but she wasn't expecting him to be angry towards her. She reaches out for help and can't believe who ends up at her door.

Rose feels safe with Rage but is concerned about how quickly his anger can take over; will he always be this way? If so, their relationship may end before it starts.

She doesn't like him fighting for the club either. Violence of any sort frightens her.

Rage fighting for the club means he is contributing, but what will his worth be to them if he stops? Can he stop? He's not named Rage for nothing. Fighting gives him an outlet; if he hasn't got that, where will his anger be directed?

Both Rose and Rage must confront their past to look forward to a future together. They have to see if their attraction, their love, is strong enough for them to both take the next step. Can Rose show Rage is more than just a fighter? That his worth in the club is more than that?

Rage is an emotionally intense romance that blends danger, emotional healing, and high stakes suspense into a gripping and engaging reading experience. Bianca Lee Ward crafts a story filled with emotional vulnerability, loyalty, and strong character chemistry, creating a romance that feels both heartfelt and compelling.

The connection between Rage and the heroine develops with emotional intensity and authenticity. Their relationship is built not only on attraction but also on trust, protection, and the gradual healing of emotional wounds. The contrast between Rage’s hardened biker world and the heroine’s vulnerability creates strong emotional tension throughout the story.

What makes the novel especially engaging is the balance between romance and suspense. The threats surrounding the characters, combined with themes of betrayal, loyalty, and second chances, give the story a sense of urgency that keeps the emotional stakes consistently high. Beneath the action and conflict is a deeply emotional story about finding safety, connection, and hope in unexpected places.

Bianca Lee Ward delivers a fast paced and emotionally satisfying romance that will strongly resonate with readers who enjoy protective heroes, emotionally driven storytelling, motorcycle club romance, and suspense filled contemporary relationships.

This biker romance has a strong premise. On the day of her wedding, the heroine discovers that her fiancé has been having an affair with her best friend and maid of honor for over a year. It's a dramatic start that sets up an emotional journey and eventually brings her together with a younger biker.

I enjoyed the overall romance, but I kept getting pulled out of the story by small inconsistencies. For example, the heroine directs most of her anger toward her former best friend, while her fiancé—who was equally responsible—seems to receive much less of the blame. That reaction didn't feel entirely believable to me.

There are also continuity issues throughout the book. One scene in particular had the hero returning home wearing a T-shirt, yet his biker friends somehow immediately notice scratches on his back through the shirt. Moments like that may seem minor on their own, but they occur often enough that they interrupted my immersion in the story.

It's a shame because the romance itself is enjoyable, and I liked the central idea. With a bit more attention to consistency and editing, I think this could have been a much stronger read.

Overall, I enjoyed the story, but the repeated continuity issues made it difficult for me to stay fully invested.

A sexy biker romance.

She left her fiance at the alter and went to a local bar where she meets Rage, amember of the War Brothers MC. Rose isn't interested, but the gorgeous younger man convinces her to spend the night with him. He didn't think he would ever see her again but when he is asked by the local women's shelter to help a moman in danger he doesn't hesitate, and is shocked to find out that it is his Rose that needs him. She may be safe with him, but Rage has enemies that won't hesitate to use the woman he loves to force him into the ring.
Compelling and well written characters that kept me engrossed from the first page. This is an age gap romance where the man is younger, there is steam, twists and turns in the plot, and a happy ending for the main characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to others.

Rage brings us cocky yet sweet Theo. He is charming, protective, and impossible not to like. The rage that burns within him gives you a deeper insight into his mind and the man he is beneath it all.

Rose is a badass who gets even and has the grit to move on from her cheating ex. You respect her strength and honesty, though her fears surrounding violence had me sitting on the fence at times. I really hoped she would accept Rage for who he is, and over time she does begin to realise that it's not violence without reason, but actions driven by love and protection.

This is a romance filled with laughter, smirks, and deep emotions as these characters work towards becoming better versions of themselves. Along the way, the brotherhood and sisterhood at their backs provide support, strength, and plenty of heart.

A sweet, emotional romance with growth, loyalty, and a hero you'll be cheering for.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It starts out as a runaway bride situation, eases into a one-night stand, and then does a 180 into domestic violence. Which elevates the story from your standard runaway bride experience.
Rage is ten years younger than Rose and absolutely smitten with her (for smitten read borderline obsessed). He helps her see that she deserves better than her ex.
Rose slowly onboards this and decides she is going to be herself. Which is awesome.
The only problem is she expects Rage to change. If he wants to be with her, she wants him to calm the rage for which he was named and give up underground fighting, which is both his hobby and a source of self-esteem because it’s his way of contributing practically to his club and he’s very good at it.
So yay for Rage empowering Rose. Boo for her wanting to change him.

I did enjoy this book, and the story. I struggled in the beginning as it felt like I was getting too much backstory all at once, but once I got past that part it got easier to follow and get invested in the story. The MMC, Rage is super sweet to her and really falls at first sight. The FMC is obviously coming out of a terrible experience, finding out on the way to the church on her wedding day that her fiance and best friend have been cheating behind her back. She has a one night stand with a much younger man and walks away wanting to move on. He however feels differently and when they cross paths again he makes it clear.

I did enjoy the intimate scenes, as she had a less than perfect body but he loved her shape and showed it in his eagerness. 😉

I think it might help to read the prior books in the series, but it's not crucial.

I wish there was a way to do 4.5 stars

Rage by Bianca Lee Ward delivered a satisfying mix of suspense, romance, and MC brotherhood. I was immediately invested in the heroine's journey after her heartbreaking betrayal, and Rage proved to be the perfect protective hero. Their age-gap romance felt genuine, with plenty of emotional moments balancing the action and danger. I especially enjoyed the found-family atmosphere within the War Brothers MC and the way the characters supported one another. While some plot points were predictable, the chemistry, heart, and high-stakes drama kept me turning the pages. A strong four-star MC romance! 🏍️💕🔥

This is not my fist book by this author and they are fast becoming one of my go to for MC stories. I enjoy their writing skills and their use of details that make the story realistic. I also enjoy their creative characters that are written with alot of heart and heat. This story is no different. This is a well written story that is not only engaging but hard to put down. I enjoyed the characters in this story and how they made me care about them from the start. They are connectable, strong and well developed which made their story easy to read. I enjoyed watching their growth from beginning to end. I enjoyed reading this story and how it kept me coming back for more. I look forward to seeing what is next for this series. I have been waiting for Rage's story and Ward does not disappoint! He and Rosie are my new favorite characters! When she finds out about her fiancé and best friend's betrayal she walks away from the wedding and right into a bar where Rage is at. He knows that she is the woman for him, but she leaves after their intimate encounter. They reconnect when he arrives at the women's shelter and she is there in danger from her ex-fiancé. Rage has reconnected with his woman, and no one is going to come between them again after all with his underground fighting experience they are asking for trouble. This story kept me glued to the pages and cheering on this unlikely couple.

Theo/Rage is attending Twitch and Milly's engagement party when he sees the woman at the bar in a wedding gown. He goes to sit next to her and orders her a drink. The pair have an steamy night and she leaves the next day in his jeans and hoodie. Rose had found out her fiancé, Tyler, was sleeping with her best friend and maid of honor on her wedding day. She goes back to the house she shared with Tyler to get somethings, she cannot stay there anymore.

She meets Theo again when he comes to pick her up for the women's shelter. Even though she has been something traumatic she feels safe with him. Theo is there for her, I loved how their story developed over the book.
