Adult friendship is complex — but God can meet you in the complexities! This is a love letter to the different seasons of friendship and the Scripture that carries us through the highs and lows. Sprinkled in our your favorite friend dates and friendspiration ✨ enjoy!

I hate to admit it, but making new friends has always felt really hard for me.
As a Navy wife, I’ve spent the last almost nine years moving every year or two, and it’s always so difficult for me to start over and build a new community. Maybe you feel the same way! Or maybe you are one of those gifted individuals who naturally makes friends and builds community everywhere you go. I know several people like this and really admire them!! Wherever you are in your friendships and whatever your community looks like, I think that this devotional will be an encouragement to you.
This devotional speaks to so many things: the loneliness of friendlessness and lack of community, friendship hurts, rejection, healthy and unhealthy relationships, changing friendships, celebrating amazing friends, and everything in between. I love that the book is divided into different sections with plant themes: planting, tending, pruning, and blooming. In different ways, I saw myself and many of my friendships in each of these categories!
Another lovely thing about this devotional is that the author provides fun friend activities and practical advice on really getting to know others to build a deep relationship with them. I’ll definitely implement these ideas and this advice in my own life!
This book made me feel less alone in some of my friendship struggles and my friendship history, and also encouraged me to press on and do the important work of investing in people and building deep friendships and community.
The best part is that this devotional will point you to the perfect Friend you have in Jesus.

This focus on intentional friendship is one of the reasons I started following Bailey years ago! Bonus: I loved the cute illustrations sprinkled throughout the book.

What a cute, informative book! There are lots of ideas for finding friends, keeping them, and for getting closer to existing friends. The illustrations are nice and advance the theme of cultivating friendships like a garden.
