Found a copy of the Second Edition (published 1962) in my company library stacks and decided to read it on a whim. I never read anything similar when entering university and have been pleasantly satisfied by my choice of engineering as a career.
"Because so much of engineering is quantitative, a high degree of accuracy is necessary in measurements, observations, and calculations. "Almost right" or "correct except for the decimal point" is not acceptable." - totally describes me!
