They’ve fought to be together, but when the world itself divides them, will love be enough? Kaiya and Jihoon's epic romance continues in The World Between Us. He looked down at me like I was everything he’d ever wanted.
Kaiya made the devastating choice to return home and support her family, believing it would only be for a short time, but as the weeks stretch into months, the distance becomes more than just miles. Confronted with the fragility of her future and the search for her own purpose, Kaiya begins to step out from the shadow cast by Jihoon in search of her own light. Just as Kaiya begins to discover who she is meant to be, everything changes and Kaiya is forced to move with it, or be consumed by it. The world has been changed forever. Will Kaiya and Jihoon be able to change with it, or will there always be a World Between them? Love brought them together. Reality tore them apart. Choice can go either way.
I'm giving it 5 stars bcuz I have high hopes for this book the last one left me screaming and wanting to pull my hair out but I'm expecting some happy tears this time around. But since the author said it's a four book series I'm in for more sad tears. But I'm happy to see where Jihoon and Kaiya story takes them
The first two books were amazing. But this book, kept me on the edge of my seat, my emotions matching those of kaiya and Jihoon every step of the way. The story telling superb. Anyone who has ever had a bias, loves k-pop and dreams of meeting the "one" would be who I feel would love this book. I hope there will be a book 4 because leaving my heart hanging like this is too painful to consider not ever knowing how it all ends.
I want to start by saying I love this series and the immersive world that Kate Alexandera was brought to life on each page. The way she was able to bring Kaiya and Jihoon to life and make you fall in love with not only the characters but the world within, while also shedding light on real world issues. Absolutely, incredible... Now, I can't lie, I felt going into this one that there was going to be some heaviness within but I never prepared myself for the emotional cliff dive that happened. The amount of anxiety and heartbreak I felt for not just Ky And Joon but everyone throughout. There were moments where I had to set the book down to catch my breath. Now, let me make myself clear, not every thing was sad and I even found myself cackling out loud on more than one occasion but the pain was very prevalent throughout. Though, the amount of character growth you witness from everyone is beautiful. It's definitely a reminder that even in the darkest of times , you have to learn how to live yourself through it all. All in all I give this book a 5 star and if I could give it higher I would. It was very well written, hard to put down, and left me waiting more. I can't wait to see what comes next for Kaiya and Jihoon as well as the rest of the characters.
Go Kaiya! This book is Kaiya coming into her own and owning her future. I love the things she achieves and the confidence she finds. Jihoon has some growing to do before he is worthy of an equal relationship and Kaiya needed to be less starstruck and have more belief in herself to see her worth.
No lies, this book broke me a little. I dont expect to have to work so hard for my HEA. I feel its within reach. But we're not there yet. The journey is necessary and it has its high moments (relationships built, festivals partied at, career achievements). But on the whole this is a narrative needed to timejump and move our protagonists on.
All i can say is Jihoon better put his big idol pants on in book 4 to win boss Kaiya back.
I usually take a very firm position, no starting k dramas until the last episode has dropped and no starting books that are in a series if the last book hasn’t been written. I disappointed myself with this one because I am so charmed by these characters and so entranced by the story that I broke my own rule. I now have read the first three books but have to wait for the final one and I am mad at myself that I didn’t read it more slowly. You will enjoy these people and will cheer them on. I wish I could start all over not knowing how it goes.
It felt like we truly got to know kaiya this book. Now, baek jihoon, it felt like this book we actually got to see some character growth with him. Staying with character growth it felt like kaiya had major growth this book. It showed that yes even though everyone goes through dark patches, sometimes it takes that dark patch for you to realise you need to be OK with just living and being by yourself. Cannot wait to see where we go next with Kaiya and Jihoon
I have been anticipating this book for ages. I devoured it in 2 days. It made me feel a range of emotions, and I’m sad it’s over. I can’t wait for the next book. The character development Kaiya went through was devastating but I’m happy our girl is getting the recognition she deserves! This has turned into my most favorite series.
