Some women fall to the fire. Stella decides who burns.
Two years after Stella broke up with him, she collides with Donovan in the same hallways that first brought them together. Rekindling their love is not a slow burn. It is instant. He was always supposed to be the one.
Love and marriage were the plan. But in a world built on lies, unraveling is only the beginning.
Stella’s childhood was a lie. Her marriage is in turmoil. And everything around her is starting to collapse. Lies. Secrets. Betrayal. She never saw them coming. But playing with fire was the only choice.
This is not the story of a broken heart. It is the story of what she did after.

Unraveled Lies is the 1st book in the Unraveled Series by Wren Hollis.
Well, I wasn’t prepared for this book and the way it just grabbed me, dragged me into its depths, and enthralled me. I wasn’t ready for this one, and the journey that it took me on.
From the very beginning of this book, I was pulled into this book and no matter how hard I tried to pull myself out of it, this book refused to let me go and just pulled me in deeper and deeper.
Donovan is the kind of man you could ever want in an MMC. He’s loyal, flawed, heartbreakingly easy on the eyes and the heart and you could easily fall for him without realizing it.
Stella on the other hand is an incredibly strong FMC, she’s fiery, and she feels so real and authentic that you feel every little bit of the pain, joy, and sorrow that she feels and you feel like you’re walking her struggles right along with her. And that includes the good, the bad, and the horrible.
Wren perfectly wrote each and every twist and turn and they all had me gasping and left me breathless more than once. And you could feel the tension and emotional buildup between Donovan and Stella and it was all perfect and was masterfully written. This is one of those books that is going to make you want to reread it after you’ve finished it, wanting to find those nuggets that you missed when you first read it.
I really don’t want to give anything away but I can say that there are “what if” scenarios playing out in my head even now. I honestly ran the full emotional bombardment with this book – happiness, sadness, shock, frustration, pity and despair.
More than once, I had my husband come into the bedroom asking me what I saying and asking who I was talking to. I had to explain to him that I was talking to my book, this had him walking away laughing at me. I called at back to him that this is how you know that a story has truly enthralled you.
I commend Wren for her incredible job in bringing all these characters to life and bringing their emotions to life and making you feel every one of them. You feel the heart and soul in all the pages; Wren’s writing makes it all painless to get lost in the world she’s created. I’m now craving her next book, and book 2 to this series can’t come soon enough.
I can honestly say that I really did enjoy this book. The emotion it’s an emotional roller coaster ride, full of twists and turn and it keeps you enthralled until the very last word. And you just have to wait till the end; you’re not going to believe it.
And I will end by saying this, I am on team Donovan. At least for now. We will see what happens in book 2.
