Even After Everything

Rate this book
Nakimera thought she’d finally made the PR executive job, the salary, the access, the life. But when an unexpected loss hits her, it triggers fallout that forces her to confront hidden insecurities.

Then she meets Jediah. The man who’s just her type … if she wanted a man. But she doesn’t. She can’t.

As sparks fly and secrets unravel, what starts as a short-term request turns into what seems like the missing piece to the puzzle of her life. And the threat of everything she’s built falling apart again.

Steamy, layered, and unapologetically real, Even After Everything is a story about choosing yourself and allowing yourself to be seen and loved fully.

Contains mature themes. Read with care and caution.

Liked a lot about it

A solid 3.5. I enjoyed the overall tone of and banter within the story, snickering during quite a few moments. I could certainly relate to Keema's job devastation and the ongoing recovery afterwards.
As for her and Jediah...I liked them together overall though I felt some things were a tad redundant on both their parts, regarding their relationship reluctance. And I figured there was a reason no details about Jediah's situation were shared. Then when Keema finally succumbs, there's this big suprise that made Jediah look like a completely different man than he'd been throughout the book. THEN it ends abruptly on a cliffhanger. Those generally don't phase me but this time...ehh.
