Rate this book
What if the person who saved you... destroyed you?Willow’s world has never been safe, but she’s learned how to survive. Burned by the past and haunted by secrets, she keeps her guard up, trusting no one, especially not the two men pulling her in opposite directions.

Blake is polished, successful, and offers her a life that looks perfect on the outside. But sometimes perfection hides the deepest cracks. Then there’s Braxton, rough edges, reckless charm, and a quiet understanding that disarms her walls without even trying.

Torn between who she was and who she’s becoming, Willow is forced to face the ghosts that chase her and the choices that could destroy everything. As the shadows close in and danger becomes impossible to ignore, she’ll have to decide what survival really means and whether she’s ready to fight for something more.

In this gripping and emotional sequel to Wicked Games, love, loyalty, and identity collide in a story about finding light in the darkest of places.

Book one left me in pieces, and book two has finally arrived to pick up the pieces 💔.
It begins right where it left off, except her knight in shining armour (#team brax 🥰) was there to rescue her in her time of need.
In my opinion, this event was the turning point for me having any good feelings about Blake. The author masterfully transformed what seemed like a sweet, budding relationship between Willow and Blake into something far darker, revealing his true nature piece by piece. My heart broke every time Willow changed some part of herself just to keep him happy. Whenever she made progress or showed strength, Blake was right there, ready to tear her down, whether through words or violence.
Throughout the story, a fragile but meaningful trust begins to grow between Willow and Braxton. I loved how Braxton became her steady anchor as she faced the challenges of turning 18 and aging out of the foster system. Willow is forced to confront incredibly difficult choices—stay in an abusive relationship or risk homelessness. Her resilience in the face of these life changing choices broke me.
The story had me completely captivated from start to finish, and the ending left me stunned. The way everything escalated in those final chapters had me reeling. Grab your tissues as you are going to need them. 😭.

"Maybe tomorrow, I'd find a way to remember who I was before he started telling me who I should be."

Thank you, Hope, for giving me this opportunity to read Deadly Games as an ARC.

Willow is embarking on another journey to find herself and rebuild trust after her traumatic past and recent events. Will she be able to trust her relationships with Blake and Brax? Will she be rid of Razor and Blaze? Well, I can't tell you, as I hate spoiling things hahah.

But trust me, you need to read it! I was captivated and wanted to know more about these characters and the way their stories were going to unfold. A certain MMC started to irritate me more as the story went on, but I could see why Hope wrote him the way she did.

I can't wait to continue this series as they are released.

I had the chance to read Deadly Games before its release, and it completely blew me away. Hope Everly has created a haunting world filled with love, betrayal, and survival, where every emotion feels raw and real.

The writing is gripping, the tension never lets go, and the characters linger long after you’ve finished reading. It’s dark, emotional, and powerful in all the right ways.

I can’t wait for everyone else to experience this story once it’s out, it’s definitely one that will stay with you.

What a ride!

I got 60% through this book before needing to put it down and have a break from the frustrating dynamic between Willow, Blake and Braxton, but boy am I glad I picked it back up!

This book had me infuriated, shocked, and giddy throughout the book. Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster with twists and turns that had me shouting at my invisible friends.

I can’t wait to hear what happens next and how they will move passed the drama threatening to destroy everything.

Im not sure what Hope is putting in her books but I'm well and truly addicted now. I finished Wicked Games a few days ago and needed the next book immediately.
I didnt see some of the twists coming and was truly shocked at some, but in a good way. I just dont even know what you say. I dont know how I will cope waiting for book 3.

Deadly Games is an even stronger book than the first one. The characters open up more here and their real personalities finally show, especially Blake. Willow’s journey is emotional and at times painful, but it makes the story feel real. This book has more tension, more heart and more moments that stay with you.
So if you liked Wicked Games, you will love this one even more. And the ending is a true wow moment and will leave you impatiently waiting for the next book.

Deadly Games is a powerful and heartbreaking sequel of Wicked Games.

Hope Everly, you have completely undone me!?

Willow believed she had finally found love, stability, and a place to belong. Yet when trust is tested and the walls around her heart start to crumble, everything she thought she knew begins to shift.

The moments of connection and joy are beautifully written and feel alive, leaping from the page and filling my chest with warmth. But when the story turns dark, the tension is fierce and unrelenting. I felt my pulse race and my heart ache, hoping for Willow to find the safety and love she deserves.

Deadly Games is emotional, raw, and deeply human. I found myself holding my breath more than once, completely swept up in the intensity of it all. The ending shattered me and I have to know what will happen next. Especially with Braxton and Noah!

I received this book as an ARC, but this review reflects my honest thoughts and feelings, shared voluntarily, even though my heart is in pieces.

I was hooked from the beginning to the end.
Willow's story is about strength, resilience, courage, hope, trust and love.
I felt every heartbreaking moment and every happy moment that Willow experienced.
I cried, I laughed, I smiled and I broke with Willow through this powerful emotional book.

My poor, poor heart!
Willow faces yet again so much heart ache and fear in this book! So much undeserved hurt but our bad bitch strikes back and of course solves the problem for us all!
My heart absolutely HURTS for Braxton watching on and longing for Willow from a distance as she lets Blake control and manipulate her for his idea of ‘love’ I guess obsessive psycho’s always get their way!

But don’t be fooled all will be okay in the end (okay maybe not fully) for Willow & Blake’s relstionship

And the twist some of you may not see coming about Brax will finally be out!

This story was heart felt, but also heart breaking in so many ways. I really need to know what happens next!!

I loved this book!
It is raw, real and emotional.
Hopes writing is captivating and powerful and I felt all the ups and downs poor willow went through.
I think I was always team Brax but the way Hope wrote this book had me really flopping between Blake and Brax going, “is he the bad guy or is he the bad guy?”
Right up to the nice little plot twist towards the end.
Great read.
Can’t wait for the next instalment.

4.5⭐️

This builds on perfectly from book 1 which you must read first!

More tension, more angst, more everything. Another roller-coaster of emotions as twists and turns keep you guessing. I can't get enough of these characters.

Bring on the last book! I need more!
