Yes! Professor Hendrix

Rate this book
When a steamy excerpt from her latest erotic novel accidentally ends up in her daughter’s teacher’s inbox, Lena Morrow is mortified. It was a mistake, one she wants to forget. But Nolan Hendrix doesn’t let it slide. He’s calm. Composed. Way too attractive to be real. And instead of walking away, he leans in, unshaken, unbothered, and intent on exploring every line she wrote.

What begins as a scandalous mishap turns into something far more dangerous. The tension is magnetic. The desire is undeniable. But Lena is a single mom, with a child to protect and a past that still burns. Can she really give in to something that feels like pure temptation?

I have no words for Yes! Professor Hendrix. Nolan was all gas, no brakes when it came to Lena. He saw her and instantly knew—she was it. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace is Nolan’s motto. On the bus, Nolan? For real?! 😂 Look up “unhinged” in the dictionary and you’ll find his picture.

This novella had me giggling from the author’s note and kept me entertained the whole way through. It’s a wild ride you won’t want to put down. If you love erotic novellas that are fast-paced but not rushed, deliver the depth of a full novel, and make you question your morals just a little, this one’s for you.

DNF,

I like erotica as much as the next girl but sorry the first scene is off putting for me. Like it’s literally a crime to engage in public sex acts around kids. Getting fingered on a school bus full of kids YOURS INCLUDED is strike one, the next scene was just too outlandish for me (fighting another parent over dick ??? In the middle of a school trip like WHERE IS THE KIDS AND BUS DRIVER?) like this gotta be a weird dream sequence but I’ll never know cus I’m not finishing this. Author is talented I didn’t hate the writing it’s just some lines I’m not comfy crossing

Cringe?

I am normally pretty free and open minded but a lot of the sex scenes were cringe af to me. The field trip and the revenge scene were a tad too much for me.

ARC Review:

This was a wild, nasty and straight to the point type of book.
It came with the heat from the first chapter to the end.
It was fast, nasty and will have your mouth wide open.
If you think you will enjoy some smut, then go ahead and read this one!
I had to make sure no one was looking over my shoulder when I was reading 👀

OMG that chapter 12 is wild af! No spoilers but have an open mind because it will have you looking crazy for a second.

Lena and her daughter were so cute! I wasn’t mad at Nolan Hendrix at all for going after what he wanted!
That man stepped up and I loved it! 😍

Yes for life

Well this was a good time!

Was Professor Hendrix extremely obsessive, yes..yes he was. Borderline...stalkerish. Not in the normal way like following her around, but he definitely dug into her background like a psycho. Was he slightly off his rocker.. yes, yes he was lol. Did I like him...yes, yes I did 🤷🏾‍♀️😩 Listen don't judge me this is the land of fiction and I can appreciate a man that is VERY clear on who he wants, doesn't fumble when he gets them, and cherishes them while also dropping off premium dk. Listen this is a good time to me.

Was there a real story line, there was some effort but this was filth. That said I have read nastier books, so this was within my wheelhouse. I do know the author said she changed a scene, well whatever you did I was locked in. Idk what the uproar was about, but I'm saying Yes, Professor Hendrix 😏

Mr. Nolan, Professor Hendrix, Mr. Hendrix, Daddy.. hell, whatever he wanna be called had BD/unhinged energy from beginning to end! Hot & bothered while reading is an understatement 🤭 All it took was one mistaken email & he was on Lacey like white on rice you hear me?! A crazy in love man like that, & when I say crazy that's exactly what I mean.. is nothing to play with, I was screaming "GIRL LET THAT MAN LOVE YOU" for the first couple of chapters eventhough they had literally just met fr 😂 The impromptu bathroom scene, the way he claimed stake over her & her daughter, & how he gave Lex exactly what he was looking for, 10/10!!! I'm not even a big erotica fan but Ms. Mary you had me giggling, HOT 🥵, & heart-eyeing throughout the entire book 🤌🏾

This book went from 0 to 100 real quick! The premise was interesting, especially knowing it was true. But Professor Hendrix 🫢 definitely gave off “too fast mamas” energy for me!

ARC REVIEW:

From chapter one, this book came in spicy and did not let up. Nolan Hendrix is either completely unhinged or exactly my type of man—because whew, he knew exactly who and what he wanted from the start. This novella was a fast, mouth-dropping, unputdownable ride. And let me just say—chapter 12? The rumors are true. My jaw was on the floor.

What I loved most was Nolan’s loyalty and intensity. He stood ten toes down for Lena, making sure she got the ultimate payback against her ex, and protecting his new family like nothing else mattered. Lena, on the other hand, was such a complex character—demonized, judged, but still standing strong in her own choices. Their chemistry was magnetic and wild.

This was a short, sizzling novella that delivered exactly what it promised: heat, drama, and passion. Straight to the point, straight to the spice, and absolutely addictive.

Absolutely Not!

I’m sorry I love a good unhinged book but this was crazy.

You mean to tell me that these grown ass people had a sexual encounter on a bus full of elementary students 🙃 No that went too far and should’ve never happened. He is literally her daughter’s teacher and they basically were being sexual on a school bus, he should not be allowed around children. He was grooming her daughter/his student to call him dad, that’s actually insane.

Also the revenge scene against her EX was definitely not necessary and honestly disgusted me and I don’t get put off by much. I love crazy scenes in books but this was a no!

Also was not a fan of the AI character art, it was not needed at all.

Now I don’t expect much out of an erotic novella but this was just a mess and I couldn’t get past it.

Sizzling Erotica

I did not mind the jump right to-ness because it's a novella and the author told us in the Author's Note that this was about smashing.

I did not mind the OTT possessive dominant MMC. That was a big draw. (But do be aware he is outlandish)

I did not mind the harried single mom FMC trying to balance. It was a nice touch (good character moments when dealing with insecurities)

I did not mind the call me sir/Mr Nolan/Professor Hendrix etc. (it did get weirdly odd because he would change the title at a whim, like sir pick a lane-- is it Professor, is it Sir, is it Mr. Nolan 😄)

I did not mind the fingerbanging in public, or the get folded anywhere (even in public) and catch this 🥜 (edit to clarify: even though some of the public scenes did bother me I was able to disassociate and be "mentally busy" during one in particular but I can understand why it would bother someone)

I did not mind how fast the MMC was moving (it was very OTT but I felt the Author's Note covered this is a pretty unserious erotica read, so I just rolled with it. Even if I didn't like some of the story points, I figured the goal of the novel was smashing and when in the pocket the author writes good erotic scenes).

I did not mind a certain person getting the ultimate B!tch down facial 😏 iykyk (it was really particularly nas-tay)

I did not mind how the story escalated rapidly into extremism (again I just chalked it up to the author telling us where to set our expectations so I rolled with it).

......but I did mind the author dropping her other series as a constant reference in this book. It's written as the FMC is an indie author. And the book she's editing and writing is one of the author's old titles. 🙄 This is a personal thing that pulls me out of books and no matter who does this it jars me and diminishes my enjoyment. It's a personal gripe but anywhoodle the MMC reads the book 😐, which of course has actual excerpts from the author's title. The FMC and MMC talk about some of the spicy scenes from the author's book 😒. And it just bugs big time when authors do this. It also added to the book in a way I just wish over key character moments could have been flushed out or smoothed better.

This book was a total miss for me. When I picked it up I was expecting spicy - I have no issue with that. But rather than spicy this story was cringe worthy. The story line and writing was not sexy at all. The MMC was creepy and controlling. Using a little girl to get to her mother is gross. Telling her to call him daddy when he is her teacher is horrid. the sex scene in the bus and on the field trip was not ok. The revenge scene was also way over the top.

I curse like a sailor and still found this dialogue awful and not very realistic.

Thankfully this is a novella so at least it was a quick read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Listen… I was not prepared. Imagine minding your business, sending an email, and accidentally dropping one of your freakiest, spiciest lines straight into your kid’s teacher’s inbox. That’s exactly how Lena’s chaos kicks off. Baby girl was mortified, but Professor Nolan Hendrix? Whew. Instead of running, he leaned right in like, “Oh, this what you on? Bet.”

Nolan was outside his mind and somehow still the dream…calm on the surface, but lowkey unhinged when it came to Lena. Man was on go everywhere, every time. (On the bus though? Sir…) He was reckless, obsessed, and protective all rolled into one, and we love a goodt step daddy over here! I ate up every second. Lena held her own too. She’s a single mom navigating judgment, messy history, and desire she’s not sure she can trust. And still, she stood tall in her choices, even when the world tried to paint her as the villain.

The writing? Fast, fiery, and fun. This novella felt like watching your homegirl walk straight into the arms of the exact man she swore she wasn’t ready for, but now she can’t escape- nor does she want to. The tension is magnetic, the chemistry is grown-grown, and the heat level had me clutching my pearls while laughing at the pure audacity of it all.

Why not 5 stars? Because as much as Nolan had me grinning like a fool, sometimes I wanted him to slow down before he combusted. But the loyalty, the passion, and the wild energy? Unforgettable.

Bottom line: If you want a quick, spicy read that’ll make you giggle, gasp, and text your group chat like, “Girl… he did WHAT?”- this one’s for you.

ARC REVIEW: Imagine a man planting himself into your life cause he knew from the moment he first laid eyes on you, you’d be his wife… Lena f’d up and sent that risky message to her daughter’s teacher and it was all Professor Hendrix needed to make his plan work. Nolan stepped when it came to Lena and her (their) daughter and I loved it. Now 💩 got a lil crazy round Chapter 12 but ima tit for tat kinda girl so I couldn’t do nothing but pick my mouth up off the flo and keep reading 🤣 Nolan brought all the spice and didn’t let up and I loved every minute of it. I didn’t want it to end!

This review WOULD contain spoilers, I tell you. But no worries, there’s no real plot, so there’ll be nothing to spoil. If you’re also here to read this review—not to read the book—but simply to laugh because you’ve found another unhinged rant review, welcome home.

I hope my rating and this first line has already set the tone as intended.

Good.

This review would be a long ahh one, Jsyk. story time.

When I joined bookstagram, I swear, wallah, I didn’t think the first review I’d write would be a bad one😭. Welp! I should’ve probably written the reviews for other books I enjoyed a while back because whew! 😅

I remember coming across an Advanced Reader review on this book a few weeks ago, posted by this tweet writer/bookstagrammer whom I believe to have a very great mentality on life—I still think she does. And I do love me a little spicy erotica book, so guess what I did? Ofc I added it to my never-ending TBR. And then went ahead to ignore potential better books a while ago and read it.

But broo, I didn’t think I’d have an emotional connection with my ceiling fan instead. Foreshadowing intended.

I don’t know if I read the same book with the people slapping 4-5 stars here on goodreads, because I am painfully aware this book is OBJECTIVELY TERRIBLE—I am really, really trying hard not to shove this down your throats because of how pained I am. But then, I am not a flat person like the characters of this book, so ofc, I have my reasons for obviously hating on it.

1. The very first thing I noticed when I started this book was how AI-ish it was. By the time I was done reading chapter one, painfully reading through how Dear daddy Hendrix’s cologne hit our erotic author FMC first, “something warm and smoky, like cedar and spice, subtle and impossible to ignore,” and how “it didn’t just smell good, but settled in her throat, lingered behind her ribs,” I was a 100% certain shit was AI-generated. Why? Because obviously, no human, LITERALLY NO HUMAN, would describe a smell like that without a single emotion😭. And this is clearly sensory filler with absolutely no purpose. It does try to sound deep though, but it just ends up reading stiffly. Do you guys FEEL how OFF that description is??? Whew! Let’s not even get into how stiff the dialogues sounded, how Ms Lena Morrow described the man as sex wrapped in discipline and his lips as too full, they were disrespectful. The pacing was chaotic, I remember wondering if ChatGPT or maybe GokAI—however it’s spelt—or whatever AI model used was asked to shuffle the non-existent plot😂😂. The tension literally felt so forced. And despite being forced, I didn’t feel it one bit—all I felt was second-hand embarrassment for the author AND characters😭. More signs of it being AI-generated were the repetitions throughout the whole book—I think in every POV of his—about how Daddy Hendrix has been “yearning” for Lena and her child to be his family, the inconsistency—

Wait; I have a perfect example for this pulled out from chapter 1 ending (her POV) and 2 beginning (his POV)

Chapter one ending:

“Then he just turned around and walked back to his desk. Sat down like he hadn’t just set my whole damn body on fire. Grabbed his documents and started reading, calm as hell. Like that filthy-ass whisper in my ear never even happened.
And I stood there. Frozen. Wet. Speechless.
My legs felt shaky. My chest was tight. And I couldn’t stop replaying what just happened.
I barely had time to recover before I heard sneakers and voices echoing down the hallway. The kids were coming back from morning prayer.
Shit.
I turned and slipped out quickly, head down, moving fast like I had somewhere important to be. All I knew was I couldn’t let Marisa see me like this. Because there was no way I could explain why I looked like I’d just had an orgasm standing in front of her fourth-grade teacher.”

Excerpt From
Yes! Professor Hendrix

Chapter two beginning:

“She was gone. I glanced back up from my laptop and the doorway was empty, her silhouette gone like it was never there. Only the distant hum of early morning noise drifted in from the hallway. Lena Morrow had vanished like a fucking mirage. But her scent still lingered—something warm, soft, expensive. Feminine. The kind of scent that sinks under your skin and sticks.
I sat back in my chair and exhaled slowly.”

Excerpt From
Yes! Professor Hendrix
Mary C. KIM

I HOPE YOU HAVE ALL SEEN THE DAMN INCONSISTENCY?!!! (Let’s ignore more obvious damn AI phrasings). He sat down BEFORE she walked out in her POV. In his own POV, he sat down AFTER she walked out. Unless the seat he sat on when she was still in the classroom has another seat on it?😂 Or they are both in different timelines?🤡

There’s no way anyone wants to tell me I am falsely accusing this author of using AI to write. As much as I like being humble, I have a thing for details, and fortunately, no AI-written stuff can go past me. I don’t want to hear shit about AI being fed off real people’s works, hence the similarities in writings, I trust my damn instincts, and how something FEELS to me. I know this because I like to say it’s where my gift in literature comes from—how the piece makes you feel. Enough of the AI stuff now, I’m sick of explaining to no one.

2. Insta-love: The author’s note clearly stated that the characters were meant to fuck, that the book is purely erotic, so readers shouldn’t expect anything healthy communication and whatever whatever. Wallah, I wish that helped to soothe me😭. Instead, it didn’t because it literally had a lot of thoughts running through my mind, like how this author—no hate to you, woman—just felt like writing a flat book with no plot whatsoever, and decided to add the author’s note to defend herself in advance just incase anyone comes for her. Anyways, back to what I was talking about: insta-love. I am slightly aware this might be more of a personal preference, but really, really, I’m going to hold your hands, look into your eyes virtually, and ask, do you really think it’s REAL to just tell someone you’ve been supposedly lusting over on first meeting that you’d like to fuck them like the characters in their book?🤡You guys say Nolan Hendrix was just being a raw, unfiltered, and filthy person, but if you ask me—which the author has automatically done by putting this book out here—I’d say he’s downright forcing himself and his again, forced obsession onto her. But some will ask me back who am I to complain if Lena isn’t?😂😂If this point of their own insta love being forced, unreal, and unearned without tension to back it up doesn’t make you think it through, then the point where Lena calls him her man the next day after meeting him just because he brought her to orgasm—a cringe one, I wonder if Lex gave her better, might I add—definitely should. Because wdym he is now her man and his dick belongs to her only after poor old hag begged to suck it and he was going to give her? I never thought I’d ever say this because I have no ass, but lemaoooooo🤣🤣🤣.

3. This part, I really really mean no hate to the author, and I am not trying to control what she writes, but whew! Her imaginations are wild asf🚮. So you mean this grown-ass people actually engaged in a sexual activity IN A DAMN SCHOOL BUS WITH KIDS IN IT ON THE WAY TO A FIELD TRIP? I’m choosing to gaslight myself here that I understand the thrill the author was going for—it’s the exact forbidden thrill dark and forbidden romances love anyway—but it’s damn wrong. IT IS WRONG AS FUCK. Don’t bring shit like this to literature, fiction or not.

4. Cringe and awkward as fuck moments: I have nothing to ask—I beleive I am drained—except, yeeeesh, you all that love Hendrix, didn’t you all find their sex scene cringe? The scene where Lex LITERALLY FLEW to fight Hendrix when he arrived to save Lena and Malissa; did that seem somewhat heroic to you?😭 The catholic school board meeting seemed fine to you when only the old hag parent got exposed???? YOU GUYS WANT TO TELL ME YOU FOUND IT OKAY THAT HENDRIX AND LENA AND SILAS AND LEX’S WIFE FUCKING IN ONE ROOM SEEMED TOTALLY FINE WITH Y’ALL??? Ya Allah, forgive me for what I read😭. I can’t believe I actually read that book till the end despite knowing I’d hate it this much. But deep down, I am painfully aware I did it just so I could hate it properly.

5. Flat characters🤡: I don’t know which character to start with, but before I decide who, I am ditching the author’s note where the book is straight to the point for fucking because that means shit. I think I have decided. Lena, probably so you guys don’t accuse me of attacking your daddy professor(Idc anyway). Now, even though a book is meant to be erotic and shit shit, I don’t think it should stop a character’s personality from shining through which neither Lena or Hendrix or anybody else’s did. As crazy as it sounds, I didn’t even expect any character quirks, growth, personality or anything, but I am still going to discuss how Lena came across as a female lead with no backbone. So today, she goes “ah, my daughter’s teacher is sexy,” to mortification from being forced to go on a field trip, then, “he’s my man🤡,” to “we’re moving too fast,” AND “I love you” just because she was saved by a potential abusive ex?😹😹 Let’s also briefly move to Hendrix, the man with no single motivation in life but a forced obsession with fucking and wifing his student’s mother, and making the little girl call him Daddy after seeing her sad. For a man who has a cold heart or whatever his 7-year older brother said, he does seem inconsistent and flattttttttttttt. The whole point of this whole part of the review is that if you swap the names of this characters, literally nothing would change. Read that again—I hope it helps you understand how grounded these characters aren’t at all. And this is the point where my intended foreshadowing about having more emotional connection with my ceiling fan, if you remember what I said earlier, makes sense.

6. I hate to break my heart, but even the cover, which I remember falling in love with when I first saw it, is AI-made. There are AI arts of characters too inside this book, and while I slightly understand the struggles of being an indie author, I still believe ITS BEST TO PAY A HUMAN ARTIST or find another way out than using AI.

I am very certain there’s more to this, but my brain has ditched me and now I can’t remember the remaining shitty details of this book. However, I desperately wish to do so, so I can edit this review and add more. But if I don’t, well. I would like to apologize for using too many vulgar words in my review—I have no idea why I do that these days. Anyways, if you read to the end of my rant, thank you for caring about my opinion on this book. I hope you found the fun you were looking for. Now, go and drink water as I’ll be doing the same too.

ARC Review – Yes!! Professor Hendrix

Whew! I just finished this spicy novella and I’m gagged in the best way! Yes!! Professor Hendrix is fast-paced, steamy, spicy, and very addictive. It follows Lena, a single mom and erotic writer, who accidentally sends a spicy draft scene to her daughter’s grade 4 teacher and that “mistake” kicks off a wild, obsessive love story with the unhinged (but caring) Professor Hendrix.

What made this even juicier? The first chapter was based on the author’s real experience! Lena is strong, guarded, and relatable, while Hendrix is intense, passionate, and just does not care, he wants her, and he’ll get her, period. The tension? The spice? Chapter 12?? The bus scene and that restroom scene!!! Whew, don’t get me started. And their chemistry is so good, I was gasping all through.

Silas was a fave, and Lex definitely got what was coming to him. This was a fun, dirty, bold read, perfect for fans of erotic novellas that don’t waste time. Loved the writing style too, I’d never get tired of saying how good of a writer Mary C. Kim is, she does it so effortlessly. And the pictures of the characters in between is so cool, it made the story come to live and it’s definitely worth it. I totally recommend❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Wild, Possessive, and Utterly Addictive 🔥📚

Whew… Yes! Professor Hendrix is not your average forbidden romance — it’s dark, daring, and downright delicious 😈💋. Professor Hendrix is the definition of crazy, possessive, sexy, and passionately unhinged in the best possible way. When one bold, “nasty” email lands in his inbox, everything changes — and from that moment on, she’s his. Period. 🖤

What makes this novella so addictive is how it pushes boundaries while still giving us raw emotion and fiery chemistry. The power dynamics are intense, the tension is electric ⚡, and the plot twist — him claiming both the mother and the daughter — is executed with shocking boldness and heat 🔥🔥🔥.

The writing is fast-paced and seductive, full of heat, obsession, and danger. Every page pulls you deeper into Hendrix’s world — a place where desire knows no limits and love blurs every line.

If you’re into forbidden love, possessive men, and messy, passionate entanglements, Yes! Professor Hendrix will own you just like he owned them. 😩❤️‍🔥

💬 Favorite Line: “It started with one email. It ended with him owning every piece of her.”

YESSS! Professor Hendrix is a wild MFN ride!! Nolan? That man is very, very unhinged and had Lena THROUGH the mattress chile. There was a trigger warning did I read it? Yes. Was I prepared? Absolutely not. 😂 The author said we were hitting the ground running, and baby, that’s exactly what we did.

This book had me pearl-clutching, jaw-dropping, giving Mr. Krabs meme energy the whole way through. Lena is an erotica author who accidentally sends a sex scene from her book to her daughter’s teacher, Mr. Nolan Hendrix. And whew chile… he flipped their world upside down in the best ways.

I was side-eyeing Lena like, “Girl, are we sure about this?” But then I remembered—he’s knocking you down and showing up for baby girl Marissa, so you know what? HELL YEAH 😜

If you’re into MMCs with a few screws loose, protective and possessive as hell, and a romance that goes from zero to one hundred real quick—this spicy little novella is for you!

Thank you Mary for the early access! Get your kindles ready it releases Oct 3rd

God... I needed a fan after wanting to be in a position like how Lena was with Nolan. Whewwwww!!!!

God that Mr. Nolan Hendrix had me thinking I was Lena the whole freaking time. The way her body responded to his made me want a Professor Hendrix in my life. The way he f*cked her good had me clutching my pearls for dear life and the way he made her feel on that trip as they road the bus, the bathroom, in his bed and the night Lex thought he could get away with what he did to both Marisa and Lena. Lex and Mrs. Porter got what they deserved at the end and I was glad that Nolan came into Lena and Marisa's heart at the right time because they all needed one another. I loved this book to the fullest, and I enjoyed every bit of it too. This was my first time reading something from Author Mary C. Kim and I can't wait to read another book of hers. Wonderful work Ms. Mary, that was fire because God... I needed a fan after wanting to be in a position like how Lena was with Nolan. Whewwwww!!!!

I don’t even know where to start!!! I will say this, though, this book is not your typical love story, idk what this is, but it’s provocative, it gets the people going! 😂😂😂

When Mary C Kim stated, in her warning, she had “ZERO RESPECT FOR YOUR COMFORT ZONE,” SHE WAS NOT LYING! I def clutched my pearls A LOT!!

I had a lot of fun reading this one!

I can’t just say Nolan is unhinged and crazy, because ms Lena showed her ass quite a few times also!!!

I had so many WTF moments! Both, Nolan and Lena were both big old freaks and crazy asf!!!

What got me was how twisted and crazy this man was, and then want to be gentle and sweet to baby Marisa! 😂😂😂😂

Like fool, what!?!

If you love book porn, so many twists and turns, wtf moments, and I guess a love story! And I say I guess because I’m not sure Lena had a choice! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

A Perfect Accident!

Single mom and author, Lena Morrow, accidentally sends an erotic excerpt from her book to her daughter’s teacher, Nolan Hendrix, and what follows is an unapologetically raw entanglement that pushes boundaries and ignites a dangerously hot obsession. This naughty novella is short but packs in a lot, from the intense chemistry between Lena and Nolan to the drama with an aint-sh*t ex and jealous prospects who never stood a chance. None of which deters Nolan because it's stepdaddy season and he's ready to claim his family! There’s no drawn-out slow burn or polite romance arc, just unapologetic pure erotic chaos that makes you gasp, cringe, and kick your feet. If you're looking for a filthy good time, read this scandalous, taboo urban erotica!

Nolan x Lena - this book had me giggling from start to finish. Nolan saw Lena and said “yes that’s my wife.” This man was completely unhinged and obsessed lol in real life I would be running for the hills but hey this ain’t that 🤣. This man made his claim not only on Lena but on her daughter as well and he was not playing about “his family”. Whewwww

You know that song Anywhere by 112..? That’s Nolan that man said I want it and I want it right now… school bus, public rr, shower, boardroom… anywhere! And he got it everytime lol Lena couldn’t get away.

This was a very quick, spicy, OTT read. Had me giggling with my feet kicking from the start. How could Lena have known that one email was going to be the start of her new life, her HEA.

Listen… I don’t even know how I feel about this one 😩 It’s giving You on Netflix meets “sir, please seek help.” The way Nolan was obsessing over Lena? Unhinged. That whole “phase a parent pus* call” scene had me staring at the page like 😳 what are we doing right now?

The erotic moments were cool because she can definitely write a scene 😏, but all that sex around the kids was just a lot. It killed the vibe for me.

And why, Lord, why does every Black character have to be gangsta? Can we just be regular crazy for once 😂 please and thank you.

It wasn’t terrible, and the writing kept me engaged enough to finish, but it’s definitely a 3⭐ read for me. A little too wild, a little too much, and not enough balance to make the madness worth it.

Scandal, Spice, and Temptation

Lena’s accidental email mishap sets the stage for one sizzling, tension-filled story. Nolan Hendrix is calm, composed, and way too irresistible, and watching their chemistry ignite was impossible to resist. The plot is intriguing, with enough twists to keep things interesting, and the story feels fully developed despite being a novella. Somewhere between dark romance and steamy erotic, it hits all the right notes without overdoing it. The spice is hot, the tension magnetic, and the characters are compelling enough to make you root for them, even when the stakes are high. A quick, addictive read that lingers long after the last page.
