I'm a huge fan of insta-love , grunge era flannel, my vintage Kenmore sewing machine, embroidered dishcloths and absolutely everything that has to do with 1980s pop culture (i.e. leg warmers, scrunchies, big hair, early Madonna, boom boxes, wood paneled walls, stonewash jeans, etc).

If you believe in Happily Ever After and improbable love stories, chances are I'll love you too!!

Cowboy romance meets mafia romance. I was hooked from the beginning. I need more of this trope!

Julian and Cecilia's story was an exciting read, filled with interesting characters, some spice, some violence and betrayal.

Julian is Cass's son and Capo for the Tempesta Family. He's a fierce protector and is good at reading people.
Cecilia is the only daughter in her mafia family that is at the brink of falling apart. She's been on her own for years and wants nothing to do with that part of her family.

Julian and Cecilia met when she was 13 and he was 17. It was at her oldest brother's wedding and where Julian actually saved her life and she lost both of her parents. About 10 years later, Cecilia's twin brother Gabe runs into some trouble. The only way for him to be saved is for Cecilia to get married to some old guy, but the Tempesta's have the final say and Julian's answer is fast no. Cass's solution is to have her brought to the ranch, giver her one week and pick from one of his four sons for her husband. These boys do not have a good reputation at all. Julian is on a mission to make sure it's him she chooses. He's hoping she's everything he needs to stand with him at the head of his family when the time comes. Neither is under any illusion that this is a fairy tale match up but there is intense attraction right from the start. What could go wrong?

The Tempesta Brothers show up in Married with Mayhem (you do not need to read that for their story here) which gives a bit of a peak at how the dynamic of the brother's is. Cecilia could not have ended up with any other brother than Julian. I love the brother dynamic they have. I really enjoyed the twists this story took. It was low drama despite the betrayals (which were big), it was exciting and handled the emotions for what the characters dealt with well. 100% recommend and I can't wait for the other Tempesta stories.
