This gave all the vibes of a spicy Hallmark Christmas movie. Lumi and Saint had the perfect combination of unknown, banter, hesitation, and connection. I enjoyed that they were both over 40 and had prominent lives before they met one another. There were a few too many Christmas references throughout the pages for me, but over all, it was a cute read. 3.5 stars!

So grateful to have received an ARC of The Holiday Post by L.B. Dunbar, book 4 in the Hideaway Harbor series! This is a six-book, interconnected standalone series written by six different authors, which I think is such a fun concept. The best part? You can read them in any order!

This story was so much fun and filled with some of my absolute favorite tropes: forced proximity, single mum, and small-town romance; with a delicious dash of spice. I especially loved that the main characters are in their 40s/50s; it was refreshing to see that no matter your age, you can still be figuring life (and love) out.

Saint and Lumi had amazing chemistry. Their banter, the slow(ish) burn, and the emotional connection were all beautifully written. Sure, it was a little cheesy at times, but honestly, that’s what made it such a perfect festive read. The setting of Holiday Harbor was so vivid and cozy! it truly felt like reading inside a snow globe.

The Holiday Post is your typical cute Christmas romance book. It‘ll make you giggle and swoon and is perfect for a lazy afternoon.

I loved that the main characters were both over 40, because let‘s be honest if you read a lot, you sometimes feel like your life ends after you turn 35… I loved how Lumi and Saint made the time before Christmas special for each other. Both started in this story with some baggage and it was cute to watch them tickle the other out of their shell.

I listened to this as an audiobook. The FMC was spoken by Erin Mallon who is one of my favourite narrators for romance novels! Her voice is just perfect for witty banter and romantic scenes. I also liked Oliver Highpoint for Saint, though I sometimes got the feeling there were slight changes in recording quality in his parts.

If you want to read a low-stakes Christmas romance with all the typical shenanigans, then this one’s for you!

I received an ARC as well as an ALC. All opinions are my own.

Audio/eBook Review:
The Holiday Post is single mum Lumi Snowe and Astan ( Saint) Santo’s entertain and magical story. It’s book four in the Hideaway Harbor Series written by multiple authors and I loved everything about everything about this small town and its quirky residents.
This couple are meant to be and their meet cute was not how I expected it to happen. But from the moment I picked this book up I was invested in the story and the characters and I found myself cheering Lumi and Saint on as I wished for a holiday miracle.
Erin Mallon and Oliver Highpoint did a great job bringing this magical story and the characters to life. They were spot on with the banter, the passion and the love that flows through this book.

This book definitely scratched that itch for a spicy Hallmark-style holiday read. The Holiday Post by L.B. Dunbar had everything I look for in a cozy seasonal romance. It was warm, festive, a little mischievous, and just the right amount of spicy to keep me hooked.

I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook and it made the whole experience even better. Erin Mallon and Oliver Highpoint did an amazing job voicing Lumi and Seint. Erin brought so much charm and emotion to Lumi that I felt every little moment right along with her. Oliver captured Seint’s warmth and quiet intensity perfectly. Together they created that addictive back-and-forth spark that makes an audiobook impossible to pause.

A perfect holiday listen all around.

The Holiday Post is book 4 of the Hideaway Harbor series and is an absolute Christmassy gem! It can be read as a standalone but I loved reading Lumi and Saint’s story alongside the others in the series and seeing recurring characters throughout.

Lumi is finding her place in the world after her son has gone away to college, whilst trying to keep her family business afloat with her sisters. The mystery around Saint drew me in and gosh it had me wondering throughout the entire book (and even now!).

Thanks for the ARC copy!

“If you want something cozy and sweet that wraps you up like a warm blanket, this is your book. It has all the holiday charm you want. Small town energy. Cute moments. Heartwarming romance that sneaks up on you in the softest way.

It is the kind of story you read with hot cocoa and fuzzy socks on because the vibes are that warm. It gives comfort, love, and a little holiday sparkle that feels magical.

The Holiday Post has everything, small town, meet-cute, no room in the inn and a bit of magic. Saint is on his way home to North in snow storm and has an accident, enters Lumi with a tow truck, and the only room available. Small town antics ensue and romance develops, but even with a touch of magic there is an end date to this tale. The characters and the town is so detailed, it so easy to follow. Perfect read to get you in the Holiday mood

I really wanted to love this one, but the central concept was just a little too far-fetched for me. While I adore the spirit of Christmas and all the cozy holiday tropes, I just couldn't get on board with the Santa thing. I also found the spice somewhat lacklustre compared to other books in the series. It was still an enjoyable read, just not my top pick in the series. I think it would be better as a movie.

The Holiday Post is part of the multi-author series of holiday romances set in the little charming town of Hideaway Harbour, but stands completely on its own. It's a cute and entertaining romance with a few spicy encounters, some magical elements and a heartwarming HEA. I received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

This is a cute book. I love that you learn a little more about Hideaway Harbor while meeting the MC’s. Lumi and Saint were adorable especially when they were together. I found the ending to be cute too but wished there was a little more

This was a magical Christmas story about Lumi and Saint. They meet in Hideaway Harbor, a small town in Maine. Lumi’s son has gone off to college and now she must face a new chapter in her life. When she meets Saint, can she let this man in? Can she start a new relationship? And also, Saint has many secrets. Do we know who he is? Loved this book
