A sexy weekend with my work nemesis is surprisingly easy. The feel of his hand on my little bump? That’s complicated.
Professor Hannah Byrne is in town before Thanksgiving to see a friend, a driver in the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix. He has the right to know about the baby, but he’s young, just getting started on his dream. She doesn’t want anything from him or any other man. She’ll do this on her own.
Women of all ages want Professor Grant Robolin, and it isn’t always great. When cornered at a convention in Vegas by two attendees young enough to be his students, he spots a colleague, the beautiful statistics professor, and claims her as his girlfriend. Hey, a man can dream.
Hannah never intended to help the annoying, yet charming, Grant. It happened fast. But when he offers to buy her a drink to say thanks, she can’t resist the gleam in his eye or the heat of his body. It must be the pregnancy hormones because this man is pushing all her buttons.
They’re both away from their routine and leaving the university soon, too. What’s the harm in spending a little time together, naked. It can’t be forever because of one little, teeny-tiny, life-changing complication.
A steamy, enemies to lovers, billionaire hidden identity, secret baby love story containing a sexy math nerd heroine, a yummy professor hero, and a touch of glitzy Formula One.
What a great beginning! I was excited to continue reading and see how the author was going to navigate an accidental pregnancy with a hero that's NOT the baby's daddy. The hero was so sweet and handled learning about the heroine's family and pregnancy so well.
3.5⭐️ I’m pretty sure I read that this was an enemies-to-lovers trope, but I didn’t really get that. According to Hannah, Grant does come off as grumpy and she does kind of save his bacon when he’s cornered by some unwanted attention in Vegas. They both happen to be in the same place at the same time and after that encounter, sparks fly.
It was cute and the added plot point of her already being pregnant with another man’s child added a little more drama to their story. I loved that they’re originally from the PNW, but were in another place I love, Vegas.
