Drunk Weekend in Vegas is brought to by Candy Moore, author of the bestselling series, The Wife of a Jamaican Billionaire.
Series books that don't warrants being a series is a takeaway for me... Lawhammercy!!!! "We listen, and we don’t judge,” The walk of shame: Assad and Janelle. Leshana had a kilt over when she said “What was the last thing you just said?” I think my ears are still messed up from the plane ride over here,” placed her finger in her ear and wiggled. Then my dislike: “Samira’s mother is Haitian, placed Asaad is under the spell of black magic, voodoo, guzu.
“Jesus, Ahmad,” Elizabeth is married to a gay nigga My husband and I are not in a traditional marriage call it a lavender marriage.”“He made me a proposal that he would fund her business venture, handling everything she financially desired. Not in a relationship at the time and saw no issue. Ahmad was being ambushed, and his body went into shock.
No true character development so it was slow to me. Every time I thought it would pick up it fell flat. Also for the brothers to be rich you couldn’t really tell. The wedding had no true understanding of why they were all there. Finally her friends demean and degrade her every chance they can and she never check it. Them not friends even though it kept reiterating that they were.
This book is a real page turner and kept me entertained. I have not read a book that I didn’t like from Candy. Lashana is a little judgmental but I do think it’s from a place of love. Samira is a hand full and needs to be dealt with. There are consequences for everything you do. I believe Asaad and found the woman meant for him in “Ms. Fiesty” lol. Ahmad may have bit off more than he can chew with Eli and he will have show what he is capable of to Horace. He will need his brother’s help though if he can get away with Samira. Showdown should have bit her ass instead of just growling. Always listen and take head to pets when she’s don’t take to people, there is a reason. Hopefully the hippies parents can help. Really god read. Onto book 2!!!
Janelle really took everything for a joke. She stayed trying to prove she wasn’t feeling him like that and acted so unbothered when she should’ve been paying attention to what was going on around her.
Why would you let his ex-girlfriend be dropping food off at y’all house? Absolutely not.
The same way he was protective and territorial over her, she should’ve had that same energy when it came to protecting her relationship. Instead, she brushed everything off like it wasn’t a big deal. Whole time, his evil ex-girlfriend was steadily inserting herself where she didn’t belong.
Janelle was so focused on proving she wasn’t pressed that she let another woman play right in her face. Girl…
I really hope someone finds Ahmad before it's to late. Yeah he was wrong for messing with a married woman but he didn't deserve that when the married man on some other shyt. I'm so disappointed in Asaad. Why would he even eat anything from his ex in the first. Now he on cloud 21 and Samera done rearranged his whole life and he ain't really got a clue he's just going with what ever. Not to mention his brother needs help. I feel bad for Janelle. She should have never let that demon in the house.💖💖
Asaad and Janelle’s whirlwind marriage looked like it could’ve been the start of something beautiful…but the growing relationship was mostly left off the page. We definitely got the sexual side 🔥, but where was the romance? Why do they even want to stay married? That’s the part I wanted to see.
It also felt like too many pages were wasted on the brother’s story. I get it, it seems like it’ll be fun to explore, but not at the expense of developing the main couple.
Cute idea, but the execution left me wanting more.
Drunk Weekend in Vegas turned out to be much more than I expected. It was funny and entertaining. I loved Janelle’s free spirit and no nonsense ways. The fact that she and Assad were complete opposites was a plus.
The one critique i do have is that I wish I had know the book would introduce a new storyline midway through the story. So I wish I knew that in the beginning. It’s crazy how Ahmad and his drama came into the story out of the blue!
i enjoyed this book, it was a good read with a interesting storyline. the characters are likeable, interesting, and well developed. with a little drama, secrets, and magic. baby, i was not expecting the end, but i love it!!! i knew Samira was gonna be up to no good and i can’t wait for her to be exposed!!!! Janelle is so naïve! never listen man, just so impulsive! ughh her and Assad got high and married, great now done got back home and both of there ex’s all up in their mix! Samirs is crazy, like girl MOVE ALONG!! wth😭
I really enjoyed the start of this story. It’s a cute twist on a Drunk Night + Accidental marriage. Asaad & Janelle were fun, funny, & sexy. I like their vibes & chemistry.. But the way the last 15% of the book has stressed me out.. Everyone is acting up, & nobody is listening! I’m sure I have a few new grey hairs.
S/O to the supporting characters, especially Janelle’s mom.
I’m gonna need a strong drink to get through part two.. I cannot wait for Samira to get what’s coming to her.
Janelle was something else and I'm glad she starting expressing her feelings for Assad! I just hate how she didn't take anything seriously so now she's in a very weird situation and I hope she gets her and Assad out of it ASAP! I love the girls' relationship and how they are always supportive of each other even when trying to get Janelle to see things differently. I hope it works out because Samira is something else entirely.
Love a good accidental marriage in Vegas. This took a turn I can’t say I was expecting but lord why don’t these characters follow their gut. Always second guessing. Now you in a situation you gotta fight to get out of. Plus listen to babies and pets when it comes to people spirit. If they don’t like you there’s a good reason. I’m definitely invested. Heading to book two.
I can not wait until part2. This Book reminds me of myself and my Ex. Minus the Spell. But I wear a his Ex in Tennessee put Voodoo on us. Needless to say, I appreciate it. She stuck with him now. lol!
Where is where is part two I cannot believe you ended the book this way. I am not happy about this. Please give me part two thank you for the adventure. I love your writing
WTH if it’s over then move on you can’t make people want you crazy ssa girl when I get better she’s gonna get these 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 I can’t wait to see what happens next and his brother is fighting for his life and he’s under crazy ssa spell
Amazing book, couldn't put it down. Recommend this book to anyone that read, can't wait for part II. Janelle and Assad makes a great couple, however will they be able to undo what Samaria have done to keep them apart?
Janelle annoyed me for most of the book. Hopefully she grows up. I liked Asaad hopefully she can get the spell off of them. Ahmad needs to grow up as well and leave ol girl alone. Let her keep her gay husband
Janelle is so naïve! Never listen man, just so impulsive! Ughhh Her and Assad do got high and married, great now done got back home and both of there ex’s all up in their mix! Samira is crazy
Great read from start to finish. Definitely purchasing part 2. Candy Moore did an awesome job with part 1. Asaad and Janelle chance meeting and wedding was comical. The plot gets real upon them returning home.
Wow!!! That was very much unexpected when it came to that cliffhanger, I’m ready to fight everybody!!!! I’m like literally searching for the next book so I can see what’s up. Loved all the twists, spicy plots and the characters had me laughing out loud at times
I'm so glad I chose to read this book. But I can't wait till Janelle stop acting so slow and put those hands on her. She had done beat her husband ex. Now I'm so ready for part 2. Liz and her booty husband I'm waiting on them to be under.
I ate this book up!!!Man the twists and the turns sheesh I hate to see what happens to Ahmad and Asaad and Janelle….girl was that a cliffhanger or what???
Next book please this kept me captivated. When you think you got it figured out the author throws in a loop that lets you know you don’t. Can’t wait for book 2
