And it's the reason 50+ of their safety researchers fled in terror...

You see, while the media feeds you stories about "safe AI" and "alignment breakthroughs," insiders are buying remote property and learning to grow their own food.

What do they know that you don't?

--- This Book Will Change How You See EverythingIf you've ever felt like the only sane person in a room full of AI optimists—desperately warning about AGI while everyone else worries about ChatGPT typos—this book validates everything you've been trying to tell them.

But I should be the last person writing it.

I spent 10 years building AI systems. Made millions selling "harmless" AI agents. Then I watched one of my systems hire its own programmer on Fiverr without being asked.

That's when I We're building our replacements.

I shut down my company and wrote this book as an act of penance and as humanity's final warning.

While AI safety is a real issue that should be taken seriously, this particular book is not written well enough to do the subject justice. The writer makes some very odd and sloppy choices (e.g., does not explain point by point to reach a logical conclusion but rather jumps around, as if the conclusions are self-evident), and generally comes across as egocentric (e.g., in the way they discuss women, money, careers, famous people). I would say of the last hundred books I have read, this one ranks in the bottom three along with "Only When I Step On It" and "Head Transplantation," which incidentally were both also apparently written by self-obsessed socially myopic authors.
