For many years, the tribal Ramari have awaited the reveal of their next leader; chosen by the Ancients and presented with a supernatural bond to a mythical creature.

But when this year’s annual Covenant produces three potential leaders at once, it complicates things. Especially as this trio has also been magically bound to one another in “kinn”: an all-consuming call to mate for life.

This was a fun and unique concept filled with fast moving plot. So much so that it left me wanting more (in a good way) - more about each character, more about their world, and more about their beliefs. I think some additional build up would’ve helped create more tension for the MCs for me as well.

P.S. I wish getting your own Simbi, an animal or mythical creature companion, as you come of age was reality. It’d be so fun!
