In the sweltering heat of a north Georgia summer, the Rhoads brothers—Wyatt, James, Corey, and Dustin—face a tragic loss that could topple their family business, Rhoads Feed and Tack. Tasked with upholding the family’s legacy, Wyatt, the eldest, grapples with his father’s expectations and his own unfulfilled ambitions. As the brothers navigate tumult and uncertain futures, tensions flare and old wounds reopen as the four siblings fight to hold on to their familial bonds.
Set against the backdrop of a tight-knit rural community, The Rhoads Legacy is a heartfelt tale of brotherhood, redemption, and the struggle to honor a father’s dreams while forging their own paths. Will the brothers unite to save their family’s store, or will their differences tear them apart?
A novella full of brotherhood & friendships. This one left off on a cliff hanger & I am looking forward to seeing what happens next with this family.
This story deals with grief and pushing yourself to keep moving forward. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the 4 brothers. I especially loved the relationship between Wyatt & Harper! Harper is fierce and has no problem telling Wyatt what he needs to hear. I’m hoping there is more to come with them😍 Thank you, Heather for gifting me this book!
[This is a complete clean read]

This was such a fun read!! The small town rural vibes, faith, family, and hardship. I loved the chemistry between Harper and Wyatt. Childhood friends to more...? I hope... I'll have to wait until Book 2 to find out!
I'm fully invested in these characters, and I can't wait to continue reading their stories!!
Heather did a phenomenal job once again. I look forward to following the Rhoads brothers on their journey with book 2.
This is a such an emotionally compelling story, dealing with loss of a loved one, the struggle to meet parents expectations, and trying to find yourself.
Seeing the relationship the Rhoads brothers shared was beautiful and hilarious. You can feel the love they have for each other but also how much they got on each other's nerves. My emotions were all over the place reading this. There are some strong family bonding moments, overwhelming grief, laughter and jokes, and at times peace.
With the books I have read by Heather so far, she leaves me with the reminder that even in those difficult times, brighter days are ahead.
This was a quick read, but I highly recommend it to those who love small towns, found family, and country living.
If you like small town, cozy, family drama then this novella is for you! It is a beautiful reminder of forgiveness and that sometimes God puts you exactly where you need to be! All the characters were so realistic, and I LOVED Harper!!

This one's a little different from my more common reads, and yet? It also fits right in! It is a fun story about a family of boys (men now) living on a ranch with the father, and running the family's feed and tack store. I don't think I've heard of another story with a store like this, and I love that! Oh, and that store causes quite the stir!
This first in a new short-story series and has me eager for more. I loved meeting the Rhoads family in this first installment of the new series. The slice-of-life approach works so well here, and by the end, I felt as if I had actually known the characters and lived parts of their lives alongside them. Much like recounting stories with an old friend, the down-to-earth and realistic style works so well here! I also found it interesting to note that even the side-characters have their own backstories and problems, making the read more realistic and offering subtle hints of the possibility of things to come. Will things get better for Wyatt and the Rhodes family as the series goes on? I have no idea, but I'm excited to read more to find out!
