I’ve spent my life as a chaste saint, a good Catholic boy. But Halloween has a way of bringing out the sinner in all of us.I don’t believe in any of this sinful Halloween nonsense. Sure, I might work at a haunted house, but I have my reasons.
Unfortunately, that’s where my neighbor Emmanuel finds me. Does he want revenge for me ruining his college Halloween party by calling the cops on him? Or is it something else entirely? When he corners me in a back hallway, fog from the haunted house’s special effects clouding the air, something truly unholy possesses me body and soul. And when Emmanuel touches me, I swear it’s more than his hands tempting me—but no, that’s impossible. That cool, spectral hand feeling its way up my leg must be him…
Right?
Part of the Halloween Temptation Multi-Author Series
This Halloween, carve out some time to enjoy some frightfully spicy stories. Don’t be afraid, none of it is real… or so our boys tell themselves. But if they face their fear, if they give into temptation, they’re in for an eerie-sistible first time. And if they’re lucky, find love - as a treat.
F.A. Ray writes contemporary queer romance fiction, including gay romance and lesbian romance (writing as Lainee Ash). They especially enjoy sports romance with rivals who become lovers, second chances, unusual sports and grumpy sunshine opposites attracting.

This book is part of the multi author Halloween Temptation series and is also connected to their Arpor Sacred Sacrament (A. S. S.) series featuring gay students attending a Catholic college. It’s super short—less than 45 pages—and features a Halloween haunted house manned by college students with supposed real spirits as the backdrop to the two MCs, previously enemies, being together for the first time.
The book included plenty of steam but I wasn’t as big a fan of this one as I was of book one, Gay for Pray. I was a little hesitant about that one in the beginning, wondering if it would be all about church bashing but, based on previous books I’ve read by this author, I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised; this book however contains quite a bit so I didn’t enjoy it as much. That’s purely a personal observation, for whatever it’s worth, so read it and decide for yourself. For me, 4 stars.
I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a supernatural romance erotic short story, featuring Denis and Emmanuel, and is book six in the Halloween Temptation multi-author series.
Denis, a chaste Catholic boy working at a haunted house, is confronted by his neighbour Emmanuel - the frat bro whose party he got cancelled. In the fog-filled hallway, desire and something unholy intertwine both of them into facing their desires.
This short story is a good mix of tension, temptation, and a little supernatural mischief, with just the right amount of heat and humour. Totally fun, short, and spicy. I wish it was a little longer as I would have liked to see them explore their relationship.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 6 Multi-author series MM supernatural romance Erotic short story College students Rival neighbours Frat bro MC wears glasses Repressed virgin MC Haunted house Sexual awakening Handsy ghosts Spicy times & dirty talk Bit of primal play HFN
Short and sweet tale with Denis turning in the frat house for their party decorations, then Emmanuel and his frat bros finding Denis working at the haunted house they attend with their party cancelled. When Denis bolts and runs, Many follows him, catching him and giving him what he apparently wants, all to the accompaniment of choral moans, grasping hands, and cold, creepy fog winding around them. Was it their imagination in the heat of the moment, or the fog machine from the haunted house decorations and background moans for effect, or did they really have a spectral audience to cheer them on? They may never know, but it was definitely the start of something more.
A complete creepy adventure leading to more at a future date, all told in less than 35 pages. Well done to the author.
I received an advance review copy from the author, and this is my voluntary review.
This was really a quick, sweet yet steamy read from the multi author Halloween Temptation series of spooky erotic stories!
A nerdy straight laced second year student at a prestigious catholic university - Denis McMillan , who always has the audacity to stop the fun frat parties from happening as he lives right opposite the frat house where his nemises out and proud Emanuel aka Many resides!
“Hello, I’d like to report a violation of the student code of conduct.”
Their paths cross in a haunted barn where spooky scenes look far too real and ghostly fingers pushes and prompts two arch nemesis to do steamy things…
This is their start to something so much more than they both ever expected…
I voluntarily received an ARC from the author for an honest non biased review.
This was short but so nice!! I want more of those 2 (and those helping hands they met at the haunting house!😜) I honestly would love to see their story as a novella or full novel to see how their story could evolve, what would happen to Denis after that,..I’d love to see Many open his world inside and outside the bedroom. Arg it’s not fair to give us this sneak peek into their lives and leave us like that 🫣
The only thing I “didn’t like” was Emmanuel being short out as Many because my brain kept reading it as “many” so I had to reread many sentences 😅
This short story from the Halloween Temptation series was a quick, fun read with just the right amount of spooky and steamy. Denis and Emmanuel’s chemistry sizzled, and the haunted house setting added a great eerie vibe. I definitely want more from these two—maybe a full novella to see how their story unfolds beyond this snippet!
My only tiny hiccup was getting tripped up by Emmanuel’s nickname “Many,” which made me do a double take a few times. Still, that didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed it.
I received a free ARC copy and this is my honest review.
Thank you for the book, here is my honest opinion: This was a fun and fast read, a great option if you like something light and a bit spooky. The two main characters, Many and Denis are polar opposite and have approached their time a their catholic college very differently. As neighbors, they have some unsettled friction- they author keeps it light through, no real animosity. The scene with the spirits “helping” these two together was excellent, it had great energy and real supernatural vibes.
This book is part of the Halloween series with multiple authors.
This book is also finding place in a Halloween setting, but a bit differently. The short story is told by the two main characters. But Denis wasn't somebody I liked at the beginning with the things he did. Come on, why? Many I did like, he is not hiding his true self.
The spicy moment between them was a bit weird with the maybe spirits involved and how they were involved.
But the ending I did like, how Many gave Denis space to take his own steps.
After Denis has the Frat House’s Halloween party shut down before it even starts, Many convinces a few of his frat brothers to go to an adult haunted house. They are having a fun time until Many notices Denis working there and attempts to confront him about the hypocrisy.
Something comes over both of them and they get ‘close’. Afterwards, Many promises not to say anything and invites Denis to come ‘study’ with him sometime.
***** POV … multi first person
Standalone or series… standalone in a multi author series
Denis was as straight laced as they come, quick to stomp on everyone's fun but when his side job leads him in the path of Many, his neighbour who's fun he ruined, Denis learns to have fun. This was a fun quick read to get your spicy Halloween fix. Denis and Many were hot together. A fast paced story written from both their POV. My only complaint I wanted more of them and I would love a longer story of these two and their time at uni.
A short fun delightful book that will get you into the Halloween spirit. An enemies to lovers book about two college boys at Catholic College. Denis is the rule follower and Emmanuel the rule breaker. When Denis decides to turn in the frat house escapades they connect and fun starts. Both opposites but perfect. My only wish is was that is was longer but will take what I can get. I did receive an ARC an leave this honest review.
Denis is a very rule abiding student at a catholic university. The fraternity across from his place is always throwing parties or breaking rules. On Halloween Denis is working at a haunted house in a barn when some of the guys from the frat house he had busted are there. This is a short, fun, spooky story of enemies to lovers.
There are times when everyone needs a little push. But this push is being done by a spectral hand! This story brings a straight laced young man to face his truth head on. Denis finally takes hold of what he truly desires instead of what is expected of him. Manny just wanted to confront him. When the ghosts get involved all plans are thrown out. Quick and cute read.
Well, that was quite dirty and fun! Denis our innocent finally getting to experience some wild first intimate encounters with a bit of supernatural flair! Halloween Decorating has never been so hot! Loved the creepy foggy scene and ghostly touches!
A short, sweet, HFN read, which I kind of wish was a little longer (it would have been nice to explore their relationship more), but it was also the perfect length? A little flip of the coin thought process there 😂
