This was truly inspiring as well as humorous! Loved it :D It's quick reading as in not tedious ...powerful and profound too at times...it's a keeper that I reread now and then. Definitely recommending this. This was a pleasure!
Heard the speaker at a Women's Retreat. This book was a repeat of her presentation.......her life story. Very good. Very encouraging. Very Overwhelming. She's a beautiful Christian!
I first fell in love with Sheri’s devotional books (His Princess) as a new believer. I had the blessing of meeting her at a Women’s Conference in Temecula, CA a couple of years ago. I picked up several of her books there including this one, which she autographed. We took a picture, of course! This book includes her personality in all of its pages! She has a fun sense of humor which has you glued to the pages. Every chapter shares anecdotes of her life adventures and God’s presence in them. I was in need of a fun Christian book and I found it!
I can't say that I could put this book now but on the other hand, I was not pleased with it either. I felt that the author was extremely self-fulfilled. Very narcissistic and often refers to herself as a third person. She states that she is a follower of God and know doubt is but I just had a hard time with this book. I kept reading in hopes that her "ways" would change but they did not. So this is the last book I will read by her.
I loved the children's book written by this author (and my daughter did too), and I enjoyed her in-person presentation. I didn't like this book as much. It was a bit too simplistic. While it makes some nice points and is inspirational, it was a little fluffy. She doesn't dig deeply into any topic. I know its written to be a quick read, but I found it way too quick. If you want some basic inspirational reading, it's OK. Otherwise, I don't recommend it. I felt like she chatted with someone and then turned that into a book, rather than taking the time to carefully craft a book that would have a deep impact on readers.
