I am finding this quite difficult to rate.
I liked the premise of the story. A man inherits a house and moves in. He hires a local contractor to finish the upstairs. Strange things then start to happen.
Whilst the 2 MCs were likeable, I thought the resolution of the mysterious strange things was an eye rolling - really! It was a bit of a let down.
However the main thing I didn't like about this book was the fact that it was written in 1st person, present tense 9 if thats such a thing). It reminded me of the books you read as a young kid just learning to read, eg John is going into the garden. It just didnt work for me.
