I have to say that this is the darkest romance I've read so far with the morally gray line so blurred. Be sure to check the tw before reading because there are a lot. I'm not going to judge this books based on how dark it was, as it was a little too much for me, but there are so many readers that enjoy this genre, so I'm reviewing it objectively!
I think as a story line there was a smooth flow and progression of the story. I'm generally a big fan of short chapters, so I loved that. The only thing that bothered me personally was the short scenes that went from one scene to the other and it made me feel there was no consecutive flow for those moments, but the rest was smooth like butter 🧈
I think I would also have appreciated it if the writing had been a little more descriptive of external characteristics for example, clothes, like in the scene where Mia is taken dress shopping and we don't find out what made her choose the last dress. I definitely hate books that overexplain scenes, but I would have definitely loved some more detail to be able to picture the story a little more vividly.
Last but not least, the spicy scenes were indeed very spicy and well written. It was exactly what you'd expected from someone like Xander. The only thing that got a bit tiresome to my eye were the constant "mmh" whimpers that were quite repetitive.
All in all, I believe this was a nice first try by the author, and I hope to see promising reads as this in the future!

This is the best book I’ve read! Like I read it so blindly that I had no idea it was this DARK! It’s not for the weak ones at all! Mia used to live in a cheap apartment and then another day she got kidnapped. Ever since Mia never got break….smut has been so SMUTTING! It is included dubcon & non-con so be beware. Plot twisting was GOOD AND WORTH IT!!!!! I love when things happened all the time, blood, murder, actions has been chef-kiss. The first 100 pages has been tense and then in the middle of book and almost up to 50 chapters….it has been heartbreaking and it is there you get all answers you need! This book is a 5 stars! Xanders is so insane in the most twisted way but he is the SWEETHEART and SUCH A DARLING!! If it was irl he should go to jail and never get released forever because these actions he did is so questionable! I wish I could read this book for first time again because it has been a rollercoaster!

The dark romance concept is strong and had a lot of potential, which is what initially drew me in.
I did read up to around page 137 but ultimately decided not to continue. While the idea was intriguing, I personally struggled with the execution. The frequent narration shifts within chapters, and the very minimal descriptive style made it difficult for me to stay fully immersed and emotionally connected to the story.
That said, readers who prefer fast-paced, dialogue-heavy writing with less internal description may enjoy this more than I did. I truly respect the effort that went into creating and publishing this book and wish the author continued growth on her writing journey.

Loved this story! It was a perfect combination of spice and plot. If you ever wanted your fantasy of being kidnapped by a billionaire after he only saw you once and is obsessed with you to the point he won’t let anyone touch you and will have a library built for you overnight, this is for you! :)
There are some mistakes and can be scattered in some places, but still overall I was entertained!

A solid, quick read with a dark vibe, though the frequent use of “mmh” didn’t quite work for me. Some parts felt a bit scattered, but overall the story was good.
