Perenneos isn't allowed to get close to humans—especially giant, commanding humans like Tristan. As a spirit of the forest he's supposed to keep himself pure and hidden away. But he can't help it. Not when Tristan makes his body burn in way he's never experienced. His fellow dryads don't get that…big.

A good dryad isn't supposed to party with humans, or get tangled up with huge men on the dance-floor. But in Tristan's capable hands, he finds himself submitting completely. “Tristan knows his way around wood”
that line made me laugh, but other than that too many distracting grammatical errors/issues to get into it.

- idk why this was marketed/noted as BDSM because I could not find anything here other than vanilla with vanilla on the side and maybe 3 spice-adjacent sprinkles on top (there’s like 2 paragraphs where LI demands MC ask him to make him come, and then LI calls MC a “good boy” and that’s literally the spiciest it gets, I’ve read more D/S elements in books that are marketed as vanilla romances. talking a little dirty for a minute and/or expressing enthusiastic consent is simply not bondage, discipline, domination, submission, sadism, or masochism. truly don’t get the point of lying in the title/blurb, deducted a star just for the misleading aspect)

- plus stuff like the overly cartoonish villains, aka college(?) teens bullying the MC, who they’ve never even heard of before, because he was kissing LI/their friend (“Leave the little loser and come.”). they’re not homophobic they just decided to unilaterally on sight hate this pretty long-haired small short tiny guy because (???)

- overemphasis on what is apparently an incredible size difference—and delicate vs strong—to the point where if I took it seriously then it’d be like a 10 year old standing next to Yao Ming (except for that one moment during the spicy scene when suddenly their chests were touching while their feet were somehow simultaneously lined up also)

- subject-verb disagreement (“people dances”)

- words missing (“except for [A] pretty modern bathroom”)

- commas misused (“My amazing, Peri.” and “by sliding further, and further inside.”) or missing (“This,” Tristan says, touching the same place again. “Is your prostate.” —the period between “again” and “is” needs to be a comma because the sentence of dialogue is interposed with a dialogue tag and therefore one whole sentence that begins and ends with the same sentence of dialogue)

- fragments/badly formed sentences (“On the dance-floor but, it is different like this.”)

- character’s name randomly wrong (“Alex doesn’t remove his coat”….there is no Alex in this story)

maybe this author thrives more in longer works, but none of this made me want to read more tbh my TBR is already way too long to take another chance on an author after the first try got me this annoyed

Charming short Halloween story. Naive and wary of humans, nonetheless little dryad Perenneos has been stalking the fascinating Tristan for weeks, peeking out from the woods as the handsome man goes about his life. So much bigger, compelling and attractive, Peri is drawn to him, out of his own comfort zone. When he notices a change of clothing, a sexier attire for Halloween (black leather pants, a pirate's blouse and a Greatcoat) the smitten wood nymph can't help but follow to a Halloween party and is seen. Tristan is flattered at the attention, and intrigued, he draws out the shy sprite, gets him to speak and accompany him inside to dance at the party. Too loud and boisterous for the elf, they leave and end up at Peri's quaint home in the forest. Enticed and seduced by dominant Tristan, submissive and virginal Peri is all too willing to be taught, to learn, to acquiesce to desire. Less BDSM, no kink, merely submission and control, gentle and guiding to their ultimate satisfaction. Steamy but light, no pain, only delicious and gradual sublimation. A gentle read.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute little story about a dryad falling for a human. The premise was sweet, their interactions sweeter. The spice was very engaging and had me on the edge of my seat. I wouldn't have called it BDSM, though, so don't go into it looking for those dynamics. They are there, but you might need to use binoculars to see them. It was much more a first time story than anything else. The size difference between them was very appealing, and Peri's innocence was adorable.

If you're looking for a cute, spicy read about a dryad and a human, this is a great option for you.

This is a supernatural romance erotic short story, featuring Perenneos and Tristian, and is book thirteen in the Halloween Temptation multi-author series.

Peri, a curious dryad, breaks the rules when he’s irresistibly drawn to Tristan, a commanding human who awakens desires he never knew he had.

This was a steamy little short story and a great addition to the series. I’m loving these Halloween treats.

Peri a dryad isn't allowed to come close to humans, but for a few weeks he is watching Tristan. But tonight something strange is happening, Tristan is wearing different clothes and goes to a party. Peri follows him and Tristan sees him later that night and makes contact.

What follows is sweet. Tristan is taking care of Peri while he first thinks Peri is wearing a costume. I like it how Tristan stands up for Peri when his (now former) friends say things.And how cosy is Peri his home? 

A sweet queer fantasy story in this Hallloween series written by multiple authors.

Peri is a dryad who comes across a gorgeous human, Tristan and stalks him. On Halloween they meet and Tristan thinks Peri is in a cute costume. They head back to Peri’s cottage and have some fun sexy times. The story ends on a HFN.

It’s cute but nothing really stands out.

Cute story

This was a really cute and slightly spicy Halloween short. If you like your stories short but complete and with no angst then you definitely should try this one.
