Layne Grant wanted nothing more than to use her degree, get a job, and become debt-free. When she walked inside of Aromatique Designz, that was her only mission and main goal. Nonetheless, meeting her mean and surly boss knocked her off her square slightly, and things become intense between the two.
Learning that they both shared the same sign, the attraction develops almost instantly when she accepts the position as his assistant and finds out that the rumors of him being a corporate a*shole were just that—rumors. As time progresses, so does the sexual tension, and Layne finds herself falling more into Avery’s realm than she anticipated. With his alluring demeanor, and sexual gazes, she knew that she wanted nothing more than to be seduced by a Sagittarius.
This was a cute instalove office romance. I liked Avery and Layne together. Their vibe was cute and they meshed well. In the beginning, had Layne not expressed her interest in Avery, his pursuit of her would have been a bit cringy with her being his employee with the whole power dynamic, but they both showed interest in each other from hello. I liked that Layne and Avery were able to get to know each other and felt comfortable with each other. It might have helped with them being the same sign in being able to understand each other with them having similar personalities.
All in all, this was a pretty good and short read that was enjoyable to me.
This was a cute read A remind a band slightly grumpy but he was a sweetheart at heart His cousin wasn't s*** and will never be s*** and that's all I gotta say about that he a b**** n***** for sure. I just love a good office work romance boss and employer it's real cute. This was a nice little short palate cleansing read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Hmmm 🧐, where was HR⁉️The storyline should have lead with a warning, suspension & or said employee’s termination. Consequently, the behavior was a recurring corporate culture of tolerance at Aromatique Designz 😬. Well, nepotism has its advantages until all privileges are revoked and it doesn’t 🥴🤷🏾♀️‼️Meanwhile, “Seducing a Sagittarius (BLP Signs of Love - Book 8) as a mediocre read. Sexual harassment by a male or female (physical & or innuendos) ain’t cute or comical. Sorry, but I was distracted by the obvious & the inevitable civil lawsuits. …Who⁉️…When⁉️…Where’s the love⁉️
I wanna preface this review by saying I’m not an astrology girlie. I wasn’t planning on reading anything in this series, but I saw Rosé Dior had a book and wanted to at least read hers. That being said, I didn’t like “Seducing A Sagittarius” as much as I’ve liked other Rosé Dior books, and I think it’s because of Avery (the MMC).
“Seducing A Sagittarius” is pretty much an instalove, workplace romance, but I didn’t feel the love between Avery and Layne. Avery just felt predatory to me in the beginning, and I couldn’t get over it for the remainder of the book. Later in the book I could see why his feelings would be considered love, but I still wasn’t all the way on board. I think if the book was longer, I’d feel it. I definitely felt the lust between Avery and Layne though. Normally I’m all in on an instalove storyline, but I just didn’t like Avery. (Despite that, I was on Avery’s side when it came to Denver. Denver was a trash ass 🥷🏾)
Aside from that, “Seducing A Sagittarius” is well-written, has some funny moments, and a sprinkle of drama. Layne is also a whole vibe. I liked that she had a healthy relationship with her parents, a genuine friendship with Jen, set and stuck to her boundaries, and had a drive to ethically achieve things in life.
I enjoyed this story! I liked the characters and the dialogue was great! A certain character deserves hands and feet on them, but that adds to the story!
Too cute. I really enjoyed Avery and Layne's story. They were easy to fall in love with.
Avery was taken with Layne at their first meeting. She was different from the other women that he was used to. His cousin knew it as well, and that is why he tried to shoot his shot.
Avery should of been let/or never hired Denver. Once he did it to the first assistant, he should of known he was going to keep doing it. Denver knew he wasn't going to be punished. Layne came in an opened Avery's eyes.
Layne came in and changed the grump into a groom. Not literally, but close enough. Avery wooed the heck out my girl and didn't care what anyone else had to say.
Layne went into the interview expecting to get a job, but also got the boss! Avery fell madly in love at the first sight of Layne. Not only was he impressed with her resume, he was intrigued with everything about her! She excelled at her job and being Avery's woman. Denver tried jeopardizing their happiness, but lost his income. Their happiness was beautiful. Awesome read.
What can I say about Book 8 of the BLP Signs of Love Series? Rose Dior did an amazing job bringing this Sagittarius love story to life!! As someone that spends a lot of time around Sagittarius that can be sometimes hard to understand but when they love they love hard.
Avery and Layne fell in love with each other at first sight but she didn't want to mix work and love because she had debts to pay off plus she didn't want everyone in their business. But the attraction they had for each other could not be denied. And once they gave into it there was no turning back.
If you have not added this book and series to your TBR you are missing out!!!
I love a good office romance book and this one did not disappoint. Avery and Layne were attracted to each other when they first met after she interviewed for a job at his company. I loved the vibe and energy that they had on the clock and off the clock. Avery was all for bending the rules to get his woman. Avery spoiling Layne, and Layne bringing out the best in Avery were enjoyable parts of the book. I wanted to throat punch Denver so many times. I was hoping he would get more than what happened to him. Rosè Dior has written another great book that I highly recommend.
This was such a cute read. The grumpy sunshine trope is becoming one of my faves. Avery and Layne both knew what they want but was a little hesitant because of past situations. I’m glad they had the much needed conversations and didn’t let others hinder their relationship.
Rose Dior has yet again done it. I enjoyed the book . Love the insight or a same sigh relationship but two Sagittarius’ at that ! A lot of fire in one setting but it was dope to see him compose himself 99.9% of the time! I would definitely recommend this book , 10/10 highly recommend
As a fellow Sag, I saw myself more in Layne then Avery however the chemistry between these characters had me kicking my feet. Both love love they were just waiting for the right one. Great story
