Vylit: Glowing for Her (Intergalactic Dating Agency)

Rate this book
He claimed I was his mate. I claimed he was insane… until the bond burned hotter than the stars.

I thought I was collecting water samples in the Florida Keys. Instead, the ocean swallowed me whole and dumped me into the arms of a glowing alien warrior who claimed I was his mate.

Vylit of Mavtros was seven feet of bioluminescent muscle, star-bright eyes, and terrifying intensity. He carried me like I weighed nothing, growled that I belonged to him, and swore he’d protect me with his last breath.

Problem? I hadn’t signed up for the Intergalactic Dating Agency. I never agreed to be anyone’s "genetic complement." And when the translation patch at my throat mangled everything I said into bizarre innuendo, things went from bad to downright insane.

Now pirates want to steal me, tribunals want to judge me, and the only person standing between me and galactic chaos is the alien who burns brighter than the stars.

But can I really trust him… or myself

Fated mates. Snarky banter. Alien obsession. A spicy instalove romance that glows in all the right places.

Now, this is a totally new genre for me so please do bare with me.
The book itself absorbed me more as I got further into it but I found it odd being in a world I wasn't familiar with, but also fascinating at the same time.
The descriptions of the technology was good and the living moss made me chuckle.
The storyline is intriguing and I now want to know what is in store for the other two brothers.
I have many questions about how a human would survive in this alien world, like eating and other boring activities but that's not what this book is about. So I suspended my belief and just went with the flow and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I found it compulsive to read to see where the storyline would take me and I am desperate to know who our arch villain is.
I've enjoyed the story being written from a dual perspective as we get to know each characters thoughts rather than assuming them. It's a technique that I personally enjoy.
So, would I recommend this book to others? Why yes, it's my first read of alien life and mating with them, so yes you will also need to be open minded. The sex is beautifully written and does enhance the story but I must add here, over 18's only. Would I read more in this genre? Certainly but I can imagine there are books that are less well written that could turn out to be weak on the descriptive front. Zoey is a talented author who has now written many books, a lot of which I have read, and I enjoy her world building as well as her characters and storylines. Her experience shows through in this book that has guided me into a strange new world that is oddly compulsive reading.

This is a fun and engaging story. Maya’s world is turned upside down when she is pulled into the ocean. There she meets Vylit. A strange being who claims to be her mate.
I enjoyed meeting Vylit and Maya, the two are good together. Their story moves along at a good pace and it was nice to see the way their relationship grows throughout the book. I loved that Maya is a strong woman and is ready to stand up and fight alongside Vylit. I enjoyed the world building and the strong characters. Not only are Maya and Vylit strong characters but the secondary characters shine through as well and have me eager to see what will happen next in this world.

When Maya is sucked through a portal she finds herself in a strange world and discovers that she has been matched with Vylit by the Intergalactic Dating Agency, an organization she knows nothing about. As more comes to light they both find themselves in danger from pirates who want to claim Maya for breeding and that not all is as it seems. Full of drama and action, it is fast-paced and I love how Maya is just as strong-willed and determined as Vylit. The living moss and the translator sticker had me chuckling throughout and I can't wait to read more about this fascinating world that Zoey has created.

Cute story about Maya, a human marine biologist, who gets sucked into a whirlpool and dropped into the arms of a glowing alien. Vylit's translator is not making much sense of his mate's language and he almost forgets that she can't breathe the air where they are, but these are not their biggest problems as mate pirates show up to try to steal her away before the two have bonded. Well, Maya is not planning on being sold as some kind of breeder. She would rather take her chances with the glowy guy. Mate bond, here she comes

I'm excited to dive into book 2 and meet Kazmyr's match. It will be fiery. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

An interesting scifi romance...

The premise of this book piqued my curiosity. I have to say, I loved the unique description of the mmc. The way his skin literally glowed with multiple colors that matched his emotions was awesome!

The storyline was good, but felt a little too fast paced in certain parts, the beginning is a literal dive without much context, granted this book is a shorter read. That being said, I enjoyed the bond between the MCs and also the side characters.

If you're looking for a quick sci-fi romance, this one was enjoyable and can be read in a few hours.

Fighting Traffickers
Great start to a 3 parter series - first up are Maya and Vylit. Sampling the oceans, unaware someone's sampled and submitted her blood to the IDA, she is unprepared for her transport to the awaiting Vylit. He may be a warrior but she is no shrinking violet, which they both need in the humorous and dangerous romp to discover what is going on. Loved reading this and looking forward to the next.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am happily leaving a review.

Glowing In The Water
A fun, romantic story about an alien who lives under (the) water and the human woman who is determined by the Intergalactic Dating Agency to be his mate. Only Maya doesn’t know anything about this. And there are pirates on their way to steal her from Vylit and auction her off to the highest bidder. With a new light on the IDA with corruption and greed. Interesting to see where this will go! The first book of Z.I. in this series is certainly a success. <3 <3 <3

Intergalactic Dating Agency- this story features Maya and Vylint is a fast paced, with Vylint stating Maya is his mate. While he tries to convince her they belong together their worlds are different from one another. Good writing and intriguing storyline about different worlds, how they work together, fated mates, wonderful characters and misunderstandings just adds to this charm.

I received this as a free copy and leaving my honest review voluntarily.

This is the first book in the Intergalactic Dating Agency series and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Maya is minding her own business working and gets sucked into an alien portal. She has no idea what was going on. It was an interesting world and story. The matchmaking moss cracked me up. If you like stories about alien romance with some humor and action thrown in, this one is for you. I enjoyed reading it.

The level of detail that Zoey has gone into in this book is amazing! Another excellent story from a brilliant author!

I wasn't sure at first how Maya was going to react with being kidnapped. But she's a fighter!

I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait to read the other books in the series! Highly recommended.

This is a fun story - Maya is rescued by her genetically matched mate, Vylit. Space travel, aliens, pirates, and mate marks. Vylit and his two warrior-brothers find, save, and defend Maya. She is unaware of genetic matching and must adapt quickly to space and being hunted. I look forward to the continuing arc of saving other women from earth and the matching of Kazmyr in the next story.

I really enjoy reading the book. It was fun, spicy and really interesting.
I like Maya and her feisty nature. I think it is great how she didn’t sit on the sidelines when things get tough. I like the banter with her and Vylit and how their differences bring them together.
This is a great read and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

A cute and fun story with engaging characters and intriguing world building. Vylit and Maya are matched through the agency without her permission. Their relationship developed through much danger from pirates who want Maya. I loved the moss. Looking forward to the next book.

Vylit and Maya
It's só good! I love a good alien romance and this book but just the spot. Maya is a very string woman and She can hold helself together, it's not a gang off space Pirates that Will take her down. I loved how they got to know each other even with the crazy translation wich was a lot off fun. Now Im going to read book two that sounds as good as book One!

Creative fantasy at its best...

What a fascinating and entertaining story. One minute Maya is collecting water samples and in the blink of an eye, she finds herself plucked into the ocean by Vylit who appears to be some kind of alien. His whole body is lit up like a Christmas tree.

Vylit has his work cut out for him trying to communicate with Maya, who is by the way his mate. I found myself smitten with Vylit. For a warrior who is 7 feet tall and muscles for days, he has a gentle and endearing side as well.

Their journey together is full of danger, action and spice. I found this world intriguing and very addictive. I look forward to the next story.
