When I turned 38 perimenopause hit me hard! I didn’t even realize what it was back then. Now almost 41 with 60lbs I can’t shake no matter what I try. Cutting calories did nothing! I’d been following Aimee on IG for a while and decided to start the 100/50 back in July. Also integrated some of Dr Mary Haver’s suggestions like 35g fiber a day and no more than 25g added sugar. I lost 15lbs by Sept, but have. not. budged. since. Incredibly frustrating! This book is definitely a little more thorough than her free packet I started with, so I’m ready to now implement a few other things, like the walk “snacks” and no actual snacks between meals, but overall it was pretty much the same information, just a little more “why” behind it, which I did appreciate. I still have nuanced questions that I can’t get answered like, “How long before a meal should you drink your cinnamon water? Or ACV? How long before a meal should you eat your GLP1 boosting foods?” Things like that…. Would love to be able to DM her but you just get auto responses. Anyway, will continue to chip away and hope to see more results soon and get my body out of insulin resistance mode! 💪🏼
