She’s my rival. My nemesis. The one woman I swore I’d never forgive.
Simone — tattooed, cocky, infuriatingly talented. She ruined me once, and I’ve hated her for it ever since.
But now we’re teammates in the pro league. Same locker room, court, and same late-night bus rides where her gaze lingers too long, where old wounds and buried attractions collide.
And when she catches me at my lowest, when her hands are suddenly too gentle and her voice too soft, I start to wonder if she isn’t my enemy at all. The tension is electric – equal parts rivalry and desire.
Falling for her could cost me everything—my career, my son, my sanity. But resisting her?
That might be impossible.
One thing’s for This season, the game has changed.
Wow. An intense, emotional ride and surprises that came out of left field. This story gripped me hard and I was page flipping to the conclusion. The epilogue was very heart warming and I loved how Maria and Simone’s story ended. Maria finally got what she wanted all along even with all the bumps and bruises she had to deal with.
A really solid story with great characters and some hot scenes but I would have liked more backstory, especially at the beginning, it jumped into them a little too quickly.
