Dr. Maya Nakamura has always lived in her sister's shadow. The shy botanist throws herself into fertility research to avoid the romantic world that burned her once before. When she's invited to present at the prestigious Vine Court Academy, it feels like her chance to finally matter.
She has no idea she was selected for her virginity, not her science.
King Thorian Verdanis is desperate. His court is dying, his people's fertility magic fading with each passing year. Seven women have already died attempting the transformation that could save them all. But the virgin botanist who arrives might be different—if he can claim her before the magic kills her too.
What he didn't expect was to need her mind as much as her body.
Maya came to study breeding magic. Instead, she becomes the experiment. As Thorian's touch awakens desires she's never known and his desperate hunger ignites her omega nature, she discovers that being claimed by a fertility god means becoming something far more powerful than she ever imagined.
But when her sister's betrayal reveals the deadly truth, Maya must choose between the safe life she's always known and the dangerous goddess she's becoming. Because some transformations are worth dying for...and others are worth everything to survive.
A dark fae omegaverse romance featuring virgin corruption, breeding magic, life-or-death stakes, and a heroine who discovers that the right alpha makes even the most dangerous magic worth the risk.

Sweet and steamy is my thing! I just love when a hero is gentle, passionate, and protective with his heroine. It makes me melt inside. As a reader, I’ve especially come to love monster romance novels, but I couldn’t find enough that scratched that itch. So I decided to start writing!

The third book in the Dark Faeverse series and thoroughly enjoyed. A dark read as series implies but still a great read. Love getting lost in these books and delving into the worlds created. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Twisted magic, primal need, and a bond no one saw coming.
Maya’s used to being overlooked. A quiet botanist with a mind for fertility science, she accepts an invitation to the prestigious Vine Court, thinking it’s her chance to finally matter. But when she arrives, she learns she wasn’t chosen for her research, but for something far more intimate and far more dangerous.
King Thorian is out of time. His people are on the brink, and Maya is his last chance to stop the end of his bloodline. What begins as a calculated risk shifts into something real as Maya’s presence awakens a bond neither of them expected.
As Maya uncovers the court’s secrets and the truth behind her role, the weight of power, choice, and survival begins to crush her. But she doesn't break. She rises. Not as a pawn, but as something entirely her own.
Thorian will risk everything to protect what they’ve built. Their love isn’t born from fate but forged in fire, honesty, and the slow undoing of everything that once kept them apart. It’s not perfect, but it’s theirs.
Maya transforms from an overlooked academic into a woman who owns her magic, her body, and her choices. Thorian sheds control and learns to love without condition. Together, they shift from a bond rooted in secrecy to one grounded in trust, vulnerability, and something worth surviving for.
A dark, steamy fae-human omegaverse romance with fated mates, virgin corruption, breeding magic, forced proximity, knotting, and a morally gray king who never meant to fall. It explores identity, power, consent, survival, sacrifice, trust, autonomy, and redemption. It’s about a woman who refuses to be used, a king who learns to let go, and a love built not on prophecy, but on choice.
The Elevator Pitch: A dark omegaverse romance where a shy botanist becomes the key to saving a dying fae court, only to discover she was never meant to survive the magic she's been given. Twisted power dynamics, scorching heat, and high emotional stakes unravel into a love story built on truth, sacrifice, and hard-won trust. It’s a story of transformation, trust, and a love powerful enough to rewrite fate itself.
ENTANGLED is the third book in the Dark Faeverse series, although you don't need to have read the others. There is an introduction at the beginning to give you an idea of what's gone on before.
Mara is the younger, always overlooked, and tossed aside sister of Sarah. They are both scientists, although their work is in different fields. When Mara gets the opportunity to talk about her work at a conference in the Vine Court, she takes it, understanding that it may be too good to be true, but fed up with being invisible. Thorian doesn't think Maya is invisible at all. In fact, she is the culmination of a long plan, one that he hopes will save his court.
Although there are still plot holes and time disparities, this was a whole lot better than the last book. The relationship between Maya and Thorian was better, although (obviously) still very manipulative. To be honest, I found the storyline with Sarah to be completely unnecessary.
According to the last chapter, it's off to the mountains for the Stone Court next. I am interested in how that one will work. Thorned is still my favourite so far, but Entangled is next to it. 3.5 rounded up.

Entangled is the third standalone book in the Dark Faeverse series (with a helpful intro recap if you’re jumping in). Mara, the overlooked younger sister of scientist Sarah, finally gets a chance to shine at a conference in the Vine Court. She knows the invite seems suspicious, but she’s tired of being invisible. To fae prince Thorian, however, Mara is anything but—she’s the key to a desperate plan to save his court. This installment is a big improvement over the previous book, with a stronger (if still manipulative) romance between Mara and Thorian. Some plot holes and timeline issues remain. 3.5 stars from me.

This book was a pretty good omegaverse book. I loved the fertility scientist FMC aspect of the book. She literally is so desperate for validation, and he is so willing to give it. I wish it had more unique plot aspects and moved a little bit more than it did, but it still was really good. 4 out of 5 stars.
This is the third book in the Dark Faeverse series. In this book we are introduced to Maya and Thorian. As always, the writing and storytelling is high quality. Moderate pacing helps the story move along without feeling rushed. The dialogue was sharp and witty and the characters are nuanced and engaging. The spice is top quality and of course, the whole thing ends in a HEA. Overall, a great read.

Entangled is book three of the Dark Faeverse Series.
There is a lot going on with this story. I was very interested to get to see the conclusion as I wasn't sure how Maya and Thorian were going to get their HEA. A lot of intense moments between these two. Really keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I love the cover of this book. I also love the story line. If you are into faes I recommend you try reading this book. The dynamic of the FMC is what drew me into this read even more. Especially with certain betrayals that happened.
