"The difference between us is that we are willing to die for what we believe in, where you would only kill for yours."

Ahh what a wild ride this trilogy has been. I finished it inspired, with tears drying on my face. This finale transports the reader into Asher's timeline right where it left off in book 2, and the momentum doesn't let up until it's over. I will miss this motley crew of heroic characters. I love this author's narration style! His writing flows with page-turning ease. There's definitely a poetic or rhythmic characteristic to his authorship as well.

This trilogy has equal doses of humor and intellect. I love the philosophizing and theologizing in these books. The nuggets and one-liners of absolute mic-drops are digestible yet impactful. I think ultimately the second book is my favorite but this ending was satisfying, concluding with noble themes of sacrificial love and true peace. I definitely recommend this unique and profound trilogy!

Happy Sad tears.

Crying!! This is the best book of the trilogy!! So much love! I would to read again for the first time! Asher and Sarai have battled so much together and now apart! But the fight for Gods peace was the best and most amazing fight of all.

This was better than book two and had a satisfying ending. I think this series would have benefited from a good editor and some tightening up of the plot, turning this into a duology instead.
