First Christmas : The Birth of Jesus

Rate this book
First The Birth of Jesus takes you into the heart of the greatest story ever told through the eyes of those who lived it.

From Mary's angelic visitation to the shepherds' midnight encounter, from the wise men's perilous journey to the holy family's desperate flight to Egypt, experience the familiar nativity story as never before. Through twenty compelling chapters, witness how God worked through ordinary people—a young virgin, a faithful carpenter, humble shepherds, and foreign scholars—to bring salvation to the world.

Tim Sawyer masterfully weaves biblical accuracy with rich storytelling, revealing the human emotions, political dangers, and divine miracles that surrounded Jesus's birth. Watch Mary grow from a frightened teenager into a woman of extraordinary faith. Follow Joseph as he wrestles with doubt and emerges as protector of the holy family. Stand with shepherds as heaven opens above their fields, and journey with magi who risk everything to worship a newborn king.

This isn't just the Christmas story you know—it's the Christmas story you'll never forget. Perfect for families, book clubs, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of how the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

First Christmas transforms familiar carols into living encounters with the God who chose the humble to confound the mighty, forever changing how you'll hear the greatest story ever told.

Great read

I have looked for a long time for a book on Jesus birth in story form. This book went above and beyond that. It was not too far imaging and actually told the story in the bible. Wonderful job. Will be reading more of his books.
