The hero is a Texas ranger and has recently discovered the identity about the man who fathered him and three half-sisters. He as has been the case in this series is divorced from a terrible woman, we later learn that our amnesiac heroine is also divorced from a terrible man who like the first book's ex turns out to be a criminal. The heroine is found at the hero's ranch with no memory of who she is and no leads when they try to identify her except for her fear of people who work at the Sheriff department and then later on attempts at her life. The hero offers her shelter and tries to find out who she is. There is some attraction between them but they don't know if the heroine has someone waiting at home for her. Again this was a very average and enjoyable one-time read like the other books in this series.

I enjoyed reading this book for the most part. I like the characters very much. I gave it three stars though because there are a couple of places where the actions of the villain really don’t make sense to me. I can’t say more without using a spoiler alert. I have read other books by this author, and I like her work. This book is worth reading, even with the issues I have with his plot.
