N.S. Thorngrave is a paranormal and monster erotica author whose work ignites the shadows where folklore, desire, and mystery collide. Best known for the Sherlock Holmes: The Cryptid Files series, Thorngrave reimagines the world’s most famous detective through a dark, seductive lens—blending classic mystery with cryptids, Southern Gothic atmosphere, and unapologetically erotic storytelling.

Living in the North Georgia mountains, Thorngrave draws inspiration from mist-covered forests, Appalachian legends, and a lifelong fascination with the paranormal and unexplained. Holding a master’s degree in literacy, Thorngrave brings a deep understanding of language, narrative tension, and character psychology to every story—crafting tales that are as intellectually engaging as they are provocative.

When not writing, Thorngrave can be found researching obscure legends, haunting old bookshops, or plotting the next case in the shadows. Readers who crave mystery, monsters, and heat will feel right at home in Thorngrave’s darkly alluring worlds.

I had the pleasure to meet the author at an event yesterday and bought his book purely out of curiosity!! Once I picked it up I could not put it down! I must say this is my first time reading a paranormal erotica and I’d have to recommend it! Following Sherlock from London to Georgia and the journey was so cool to read! I also enjoyed the secret society’s connection from across the globe they really are every where! Very satisfying ending and hoping Myra and Skookum the best! Looking forward to reading the next book!

Dirty Sherlock pt. 2

came here for Victorian logic and pipe-smoking deductions and instead got SHERLOCK HOLMES DOING CRYPTID INVESTIGATIONS???

Excuse me???

Sherlock Holmes: The Cryptid Files – The Case of Bigfoot really said:“what if we take the most rational man alive and emotionally destabilize him with Bigfoot.”

And honestly? Mission accomplish

My friends, this was a vibes read if I ever saw one. I met the author at a local book fair. I had a great time talking to him and all the things in this story. I can tell he had an absolute blast writing it.

You won’t pick this up for the finely crafted prose. This was like one of those crazy B-roll monster or sci-fi movies that you enjoy because it makes you laugh so hard. It’s a spicy Sherlock Holmes fan fic that also blends monsters with Mexican and Native American folklore.

Yes, Myra does get it in with Bigfoot…a lot. Holmes gets his own encounter. However, there is no group scene (I had several ask me when I talked about it).

You will have to overlook a multitude of grammar and spelling errors and some figurative language that makes you scratch your head. But, if you want something that will make you laugh from the ever-unexpected events… you may want to check it out!

OKAY ALOT TO UNPACK
I do have to say I did dnf. NOT BECAUSE I DIDNT LIKE IT- I did! I liked the writing style, the story and the plot! and after thinking about it, I'm blaming being hangry.

so! sherlock is travelling from the UK to the us after receiving a letter from a women who is having some trouble with a unknown beast haunting her in the woods out from of her house. while on the boat over he meets a waitress, and they start getting freaky, she gives him a....massage I'm going to say and OUT OF ALL THE LANGUAGE USED the author uses "English sex pole"

"sherlock felt the warm and moist flesh touch his mouth and he began shoving his tongue in and out of her softly. the inside of Selma grabbed his tongue as if a hundred tenacles grabbed hold" YUCK but then it became apparent that Selma wasn't human...

it appears that everyone sherlock meets on his travels is some sort of legend or mythical creature
" Vlad from Romania"
"la Llorona from Mexico"
"Aaron who knew a little too much about jack the ripper"

" the beast moved his leathery hands up her thighs and into her flower"
and that's where I stopped..

I was having a good time reading it, its funny and quirky. OF COURSE a monster romance about bigfoot is going to be funny, but the use of the words "English sex pole" and "flower" pushed me a little over the edge while being hangry, but I do think I'll come back to it.

Sherlock Holmes, The Cryptid Files: Case of Bigfoot was an unexpected and intriguing read. I was immediately excited going in because it combined two things I don’t often see together...Sherlock Holmes and spice. That alone made it stand out.
What worked for me was the choice to move away from the usual Holmes-versus-Moriarty framework. Instead, the story centers on a secret society that appears to protect paranormal creatures, including Bigfoot. This society takes the place of the traditional nemesis and gives the mystery a very different structure than classic Sherlock Holmes stories.
Bigfoot himself is introduced less as a mystery to be solved and more as a sexual presence for the FMC, which clearly sets the tone for how the cryptid element is used in the story. The book isn’t afraid to lean into this unconventional approach, blending mystery, paranormal themes, and erotic elements in a bold and niche way.
Overall, this is a distinct genre mashup that will appeal to readers looking for something outside the boundaries of traditional Sherlock Holmes interpretations, especially those curious about paranormal erotica with a familiar literary figure at its center.

Where to start? I went into this read slightly biased as I adore the author and his super kind and friendly demeanor, but but, Sherlock Holmes? Cryptids? A mysterious symbol that keeps showing up? What does it all mean? Add some spice (and everything nice) and you have this amazing read! From a sassy ship server, to a librarian???? What will happen? This was a delicious mix of romance, mystery, and suspense, a tall broodin furball with touch her and unalive vibes? I could go on, but I'll let you in on a little secret, read this book, and you'll be safe from Carmen!!! She's fiesty, and really good with a letter opener... don't know what I mean? read the case and solve it for yourself!

Amazing!

What can I say I love this author! This book is a nice twist on Sherlock Holmes. It is a really good plot with Sherlock and Watson investigating their cases and getting to the bottom of what’s happening and running across new theories and new groups of society.

This is spicy! There is smut and there is monsters I mean what can go wrong. 😈 This book is a good time in my opinion it is not romance it is its own category spicy mystery! 😂

If you want a short read that is just a good time this is the book for you! 💜

This is a fast paced book, that is a quick read. I enjoyed the twists and it is certainly not predictable. There are elements of witchcraft, suspense and smut. It might not be for everyone but if you enjoy an erotic suspense/ thriller type of book then give it a go. I am looking forward to the sequel.

This was very unexpected and a great read!! There were elements of romance, horror, thrillers and mystery…all in one book about Bigfoot! I loved it. It has spicy scenes that were great, but the plot was the main focus. Can’t recommend this book enough!

loved this. I will admit it wasn't as spicy as book 2 but it was still a very good read for me. the mystery solving mixed with spicy is always on point. I like how the author puts his own twist to his books. his story is easy to follow and he keeps it intriguing.

This is a wacky book that mixes Sherlock Holmes, Bigfoot, and hardcore sex. A smut book for dudes! I would have loved more plot, but I think that’s kinda the vibe. Local author that was exceptionally nice and I’m glad I bought his book. Will read his other stuff.

Such a fun read

I loved this story. Sherlock seems to ruffle some feathers, but in the end you will see just what happens with MS. Bedford.
