I don’t believe in happily ever after.

I believe in strategy. Leverage. Control.

So when my father lays down his favorite ultimatum—get married, have a child, and prove I’m worthy of the Westwood legacy—I already know how to win.

I go back to the one girl I never got over.

Red hair. Smart mouth. Big heart.

And a body I’ve explored in my dreams for years.

She shattered me years ago—and now runs herself ragged rescuing stray dogs instead of running in the billionaire circles she was born into.

She needs funding for her foundations.

I need a wife on paper.

A deal between us makes perfect sense.

Except nothing about my soon-to-be wife has ever been simple.

She drags slobbering mutts into my spotless house. She leaves muddy paw prints across my marble floors. She tests every rule I’ve ever lived by.

And worse… she still knows exactly how to make me sweat.

Now I’m pretending to be a devoted husband in public, cleaning up after animals in private, and breaking every boundary I swore I’d never cross again.

I built my reputation on keeping it clean.

But falling for my messy, beautiful fake wife?

That’s a disaster I can’t walk away from twice.

There was a lot going on in this book compared to Book 1. (Possible spoilers ahead)

There is spice, but it’s on the mild side. I’d describe every scene as short and not that descriptive. (At one point, he tells her to get on her hands and knees. She thinks to herself “ohhh I must really be into kinky smex.” Hahahahaha the amount of laughs I had at that.)

A quick FYI- H has an obsession. He’s addicted to vacuums. Yes! Vacuums. 😂😂😂 He keeps his vacuum collection a secret, but comes clean to h. At one point in this book, they even go to a vacuum convention. (This is not important to the plot, just thought it was odd. I can honestly say this was a first for me in a book)

H is BFFs with h’s brother, Trent. H spent a lot of time at Trent’s house during high school. H started to develop feelings for h. H and h kept their relationship secret. Suddenly, H ghosted h and never told her why. They basically ignored each other for a decade.

*sidenote* we find out later in the book that Trent basically went all “flowers in the attic” weird about his sister, so H chose Trent over h. We also find out that not long after H ghosted h, H started having these huge parties with women. All the people at the parties had to sign NDAs- and Trent alluded to the fact there were orgies. 😬

H was a big-time Playboy.
H explains why he was by saying he did it just to shut off his feelings for h. h was the “love of his life” so he had to fk other women to get rid of his feelings. Ffs
Dumbest. Reason. Ever.

So…the book kicks off with H’s dad wanting some dumb arranged marriage for H to collect his future position.
h really loves animals and she’s thrown all her money away helping them (for real. She ate only cereal for 2 weeks) Her parents have cut her off. She can still collect 5 million if she marries before turning 30.

H and h decide to marry since they are both after the same things. 🙃 Well, neither family is happy. Trent is the most unhinged out of them all about it.

*sidenote* we find out from Trent that H was dating an OW their last year in high school. He broke up with her when he got involved with h and they were doing their “secret” relationship. h never knew that. Trent made it sound like H was cheating, but H explained to h that he broke it off with OW way before he got involved with her. 🤷‍♀️ soooo messy.

During all this, h has a “friend” named Collins. Well, Collins wants H. She starts piling on the mess trying to make h think H is cheating on her. At one point, she has a scheme set up to trap him with some iffy pictures (and he suspects it’s a trap. wtf? Why walk into it?) and H just walked right into it. Ugh 😩
Since H was such a Man*hore, she does believe it. This is where his past was doing him NO FAVORS.
Even 70% in, from h’s POV-she was wondering if H could ever be faithful to any woman.

Eventually, Trent comes to the rescue and helps H to expose the scheme. H explains to Trent that he’s always loved h, and he was trying to do the right thing by staying away from her when they were younger.

The MCs confess their love and work together to punish the schemers. Haha, riiiight! Collins just got a stern lecture.

A few weeks later they have their magical wedding and a few weeks after that, they find out they’re having twins. HEA

I just never felt the connection between the MCs.

Twenty-nine year old San Franciscan Sadie Shepard wants to use her trust fund to build animal sanctuaries, but her parents demand that she come home to Dallas, Texas, get married and crank out kids. And to make certain she obeys, they cut off her funds, leaving her with just the five million dollar inheritance from her grandmother. But she can gain access to it only if she marries.

Jameson Westwood is expected to marry now that his older brother Sterling and wife Laney are pregnant, but he wants nothing less, so he is happy to see his old friends friend Trent and Sadie Shepard at the gender reveal party. Reminded of his romance with Sadie that was cut short by her older brother, an idea that would save them both blooms.

With the help of the lawyer who crafted Sterling’s contract, James is ready to ask Sadie to take the plunge with him, especially since they are together in the same proverbial boat, and after careful consideration and despite Trent’s disapproval, they agree and move in together to see if they can get along not only with each other but with Hooch, her bull mastiff, who spreads slobber through the house, much to the horror or clean freak James.

Oh, what a complex, hilarious story Ali Parker has woven, featuring polar opposites James and Sadie, groomed by years of generational wealth and expectations, her best friend, his other brothers, two sets of parents opposed to the union for which they themselves created the circumstances, and evil socialites who try to keep our couple apart. I absolutely love Bad Boy Husband, the second book in the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement series, and can’t wait for the next installment that I predict will feature third son Callum, or maybe not. And if you have not read the first book, check out One Year Huband, Sterling and Laney’s adventure. But for now, grab your favorite beverage, sink into your comfy nook, and buckle up for a funny, witty, tender, and sizzling read with a surprise ending!

I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily offer my honest opinion.

This review is for the entire series. Not just this book, I will put the same review on all four books.

MANY SPOILERS AHEAD

One year husband was the first and honestly my favourite. I ADORED Sterling and Laney. She was such a cool FMC, feisty, not a push over.
And he started off aloof and became a Golden retriever / Dobermann husband for her.
Sterling was also the one who wasn’t a huge playboy before Laney, which I loved.

Bad boy husband was my least favourite. He couldn’t communicate for sh*t and continued to be a man wh*re because he couldn’t tell her he loved her. He was just a coward.
Fortunately it worked out and I liked Sadie and them together in the later books.
But it’s no wonder she didn’t trust him given her experience with him and his reputation.

Playboy husband was my third favourite. I LOVED Maisie and Brody, they were super cool. She was a badass mum and really smart, I loved that.
I think her keeping it from Callum that he was Brody’s dad for so long though was cruel.
I do understand why she did it, but I’m not sure I could have been as forgiving as Callum. Although he did treat her terribly when he found out, but I could understand his reaction.
He did really step up as Brody’s dad. He redeemed himself throughout the whole book. But again was a playbook and it’s no wonder she didn’t think he liked her given he DIDN’T COMMUNICATE, but neither did she.

Holiday husband was honestly a close second or even tied for favourite. Harrison was so emotionally mature and such a sweet guy and so supportive of Aurelia even before they got together.
Aurelia was a badass and so smart. I was annoyed with her near the end but it was understandable.
I’m sad I didn’t get to see a little snippet of them in New York.

Obviously the next series is going to be with Chicago Westwoods (the cousins) and the only sister Charlotte being the FMC with Trent, Sadie’s brother.
Trent is a manwh*re as well, so I don’t know if I will love this one, but we’ll see.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

h, Jamie and Sadie, what tangled webs we weave!!! Jamie (Jameson) has been told by his father that it is time to settle down and get married if he wants to take over the company. Getting married is absolutely the last thing he wants to do. Sadie is also from a wealthy family who has been cut her from her inheritance because she has been using her trust fund to build animal sanctuaries which her parents are adamantly against and want her to come back to Texas and be the socialite that she was raised to be. There is the $5 million that her grandmother left her that she can access IF she gets married.
Jamie and Sadie's families go way back and they grew up in the same social circle along with Sadie's older brother Trent. They also have a romantic past but Jamie left without any explanation to Sadie and she has not forgiven him for this after all these years Now starts all the drama. Can these two pull off an arranged marriage to satisfy the requirements for Jamie to be able to take over the family business and for Sadie to have access to her $5 million. Can they convince their families that they are in love and this is real? What about the other woman who is trying to break them up? And the meddling parents and older brother? This is such a great book with tons of sizzle, angst, confrontations that you won't want to put it down until you have read every last page!!!! This is the second book in the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement series but it can be read as a standalone. This is a MUST read.

Jameson and Sadie's story was a really good read! For a second-chance romance that brings drama, excitement and a fun set of characters, this was better than most second-chance reads I've read--and I'm not a fan of the second-chance.

Sadie and Jameson knew each other because Sadie's brother Trent is Jameson's best friend for about 20 years. Ten years prior to the current time of the book Sadie and Jameson secretly "dated" and fell in love. But due to Trent warning Jamie off Jamie broke it off. After this Jamie became a reckless playboy for about 7 years, trying to forget about Sadie. Now Jameson and Sadie both have to go into an arranged marriage to get their inheritances. Sadie's been cut off financially from her family so she has no other choice to keep her livelihood going. Sadie is still upset with Jameson over their breakup but feelings have never gone away or even lessened for either of them. But can they take the chance of making an arranged marriage work for them?

There are attempts made to break up this marriage from so many people and directions. Trust is a huge issue in this story as is being able to show all of oneself to be accepted for who you really are. I loved how these characters owned up to their mistakes and how they put themselves out there in hopes that they'd be accepted. The communication was good in this story as well and added so much more to this. Can't wait for the rest!

This is the second book in the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement series. It is a well written story that keeps the reader so invested that it can’t be put down. As with the first book, the Patriarch of the Westwood family tells Jameson, the number two son that he needs to get married and have children to secure his place in the family business legacy. It appears the arranged marriages have worked in the Westwood family for generations. Jameson shutters at the thought of an arranged marriage. As luck would have it, he bumps into an old friend’s sister, Sadie, at a reveal party. She has her own problems, and so the saga begins. Both the story and the characters are well developed. You run the gamut of emotions with them as they go through this chapter of their lives. Even the dog “Hooch” has a personality that the reader is invested in. The story has everything the reader needs, to stay engaged.... It’s a great read and pure entertainment for the weekend. Thank you, Ali, for the new series...It's a hit!

Bad Boy Husband is a fun, fiery addition to Ali Parker’s Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement series. When Sadie Shepard's wealthy parents cut her off for refusing to marry and settle down, her only hope lies in a $5 million inheritance she can only access if she ties the knot. Enter Jameson Westwood—rich, reluctant to marry, and equally pressured by his family.

What starts as a fake marriage arrangement quickly turns complicated as past feelings resurface and their chemistry becomes impossible to ignore. Between Sadie’s giant, slobbery bull mastiff and two meddling families, navigating their “fake” relationship proves anything but simple.

This story has it all—laughs, tension, steamy moments, and heart. Sadie and James are opposites who clash and connect in the best ways. Ali Parker blends humor and heat effortlessly, making this a quick, engaging read for fans of romantic comedy and marriage-of-convenience tropes.

A perfect pick if you loved One Year Husband—and Callum’s story can’t come soon enough!

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

Bad Boy Husband, book two in the Billionaires Inheritance Arrangement series follows Sadie Shepard and billionaire Jameson Westwood. When Sadie decides to use her inheritance to help build animal sanctuaries, her parents cut her off, leaving her with only one choice.. get married and have a family. Jameson is also supposed to be married by now, following his older brother Sterling’s example and having his own children, but he doesn’t want to settle down just yet. When Jameson runs into Sadie at his brother’s gender reveal party he comes up with an idea, an idea that could help both himself, and Sadie. With a marriage contract in hand, Jameson asks Sadie to be his wife.. at least on paper, which would solve both of their problems. But what happens when people from their past show up and try to keep them from getting married? And what will they do when both of their parents are opposed to their union?

Fell flat. The characters weren’t that likable and I had no sympathy for their first world problems. Sadie seemed like a moron - like let me give all my trust fund money away to charity without any regard to sustainability, common sense or my apparent inability to support myself through work. Jameson wasn’t much better, too concerned about how his friend, her brother, felt about them dating. The billionaire arranged marriage thing forced on super rich adults by Daddy seemed even more silly in book 2. Like MAYBE selecting which capable son gets to be the next family company CEO based on being married … but CFO? Really? How about, uh, no? Also, the main women characters build their careers/identities around baby shops and animal shelters while the men are all finance. At least, in book 1, the fmc seemed somewhat intelligent and sensible and her problems weren’t of her own making.

Potentially offensive items: classism, sexism, nudity, adult situations, premarital sex, sexually explicit, offensive language, alcohol, mature themes, lying, dysfunctional family

I liked the premise of this spicy romance, which is why I picked it up. I won't be continuing the series beyond this, though. In this book, there is another arranged marriage, but they do have sex before getting married (both on and mentions of a past sexual relationship). I felt there was still some of the humor and things you would expect with the upper-class, but the ending was completely out there and unbelievable and the pieces didn't fit together. Then, when the book should have been over, it seemed to drag on forever. There were also typos.

This is the second book in the billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Series but can be read as a standalone.  It won't take you long to fall in love with Jameson and Sadie.    You'll find yourself emotionally involved with all their drama and pulling for a happily ever after.  They were each other's first love until he broke her heart. Fate brings them back together and they soon realize they might be the solution to the other's inheritance problem.  No shortage of drama with family conflicts, blackmail, sabotage, miscommunication and more. Hooch's first meeting with Jameson was hilarious.    Heartwarming as they overcome all the odds against them and find their HEA with a double surprise.  No cliffhanger and a well written book with well developed, likable characters,  I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This second book in the Westwood brothers’ saga was a really great read. Jameson, the second born, was told by his father that he needed to settle down and get married before his father could retire and make Jamie the CFO of their Westwood and Sons company. Jamie had loved Sadie since their high school days. But he had dumped her miserably back when her brother confronted him about their relationship. Meanwhile, it turns out that Sadie also needed to get married to gain her $5 million inheritance from her grandmother. He became a man whore for about 10 years until he finally realized that she was the only woman he really wanted and she finally kind of needed him. Jamie and Sadie being together was frowned upon by both families and a few of their supposed friends. Much drama ensued but they finally achieved their HEA. The epilogue is very touching.

Sadie is from a rich family, but all she really cares about is rescuing animals. She runs a nonprofit, and helps out at a local shelter in San Francisco. Unfortunately, her parents don't approve, and they cut her off from her inheritance unless she moved back home to Texas. Jameson is second in line, and now that his brother Sterling is married, their parents determine he is next. Sadie and Jamie had a brief love affair when they were younger, but he broke it off because of her brother. Now, he needs a wife, pronto, and she needs rescuing herself. These former lovers are about to make a huge leap into marriage.

This story is far from average, and it's a ton of fun and even has some intrigue! It's well worth the read to watch these two figure out how to move forward with the one they have always loved!

Sadie isn’t about to let her affluent parents force her into a life she doesn’t want even if that means that her dream will be more difficult to achieve and take much longer. It’s been a decade since Jameson broke her heart, and she is determined to keep her distance until she realizes that a marriage of convenience could give them both what they want.

For Jameson to claim his position in the family business he needs to show he is settled and that includes being married. Seeing Sadie again he realizes that they both need the same thing to reach their goals however what was supposed to be an arrangement feels like so much more.

This story finds the perfect balance between humor, emotion and drama as Sadie and Jameson need to not only overcome their past but all the challenges in the present as well.

Skipped over a lot of it, and DNF. No big twists. They’re separated the first time because of h’s brother - though we don’t get too many details about this, or any in depth flashbacks into their past. We’re basically just told they were together, and that it was fabulous. Then there’s a plot by other people to separate them before they marry. Once they reconcile, it just drags on and on. Too much sappiness for me to tolerate.
The neat-freak H being so accepting of h’s messiness (dogs n all) so easily, is just too perfect, I can’t buy into it.
The h is supposedly a vegetarian - H boldly states it when someone serves her a steak. And then, there are TWO times after where he buys her burgers (?!) “Sadie dug into her hamburger in front of me like it was a Michelin-star meal”
No. This was a waste of time for me.

This second story in the series focusses on Jameson and Sadie. Sadie is the sister of his best friend and the dreaded bro-code has caused no end of problems.
There are so many issues, not least of all Sadie’s parents. Sadie doesn’t fit into the mould they have set for her and she ends up being cut off from them, needing marriage to access funds left by her grandmother.
As a Westwood Jameson knows he is under pressure to find a wife, and encourages Sadie to think about a mutually beneficial relationship.
I loved Sadie’s character, she was the complete opposite of Jameson and his initial introduction to Hooch made me laugh.
They certainly had to jump through hoops to get their HEA but it was an emotional read and a great finish to their story.

Loose threads

It was a good book. Enjoyable series. There were a couple of " loose threads"that never got tied off. A pair of bad people try to end Sadie and Jamie's relationship. A phone goes missing. It's like the author was taking the book in a slightly darker path and either the editor or the publisher didn't think it fit so it was dropped badly.
Sadly the lack of a 4 word sentence in a few places really bugged me. What happened with the Condo?
Who just walks away and leaves their phone without mentioning it to someone or contacting their carrier? It's such a simple fix for a minor bit in the storyline that it's just sloppy not to clear things up and tie off the loose threads in the story.

I thought this book was pretty good. I liked the characters and I thought Jameson and Sadie worked well together. They are kind of opposites but in a way that they can strengthen each other. The story was interesting and held my attention well. One thing that bugged me and kept me from giving a 5 star rating was that in the beginning of the book it was a major point that Sadie was a vegetarian but then several times she and Jameson went to grab burgers. Not a big deal but it just felt a little disruptive to the storyline. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone.

Jameson and Sadie were young and fell in love. Jameson broke it off thinking Sadie could find a better match. She was devastated. Jameson's dad wants his billionaire son to find a wife. Sadie's parents take away her trust fund as they didn’t approve of the life she had chosen for herself. She was also told she needed to find a suitable spouse to receive her money from her trust. Jameson is best friends with Sadie's brother. Jameson attends a pool party and they see each other again for the first time in nearly a decade. Their journey back together is full of Ali's recipe of romance. Check it out.

Absolutely a fantastic read. This story stars Jameson and Sadie. Jamison is a rich, playboy and Sadie was too but her parents cut her off. Sadie does everything she can to save animals. After Sadie spent her trust fund, her grand left her 5M but she was required to marry. Jameson was in the same boat if he wants a seat on the Board and collect his own inheritance. This pair had been buddies most of their life. It was years before they ran into each other again, sparks flew and with their situations, they decided to join forces. Lots of ups and downs. You really root for this couple. Loved it.

This book was one of the hottest and sweetest I've ever read! Jamie and Sadie are meant to be together! He is head over heels for her all the way! She fears he'll change his mind, like he did before. Her brother Trent I could shake a few times! But, I could squeeze and hug Sadie and Jameson so hard. Along with the two dogs! They sure couldn't get their marriage of convenience off the ground no matter how much they loved each other without a few scary bumps along the way. Thank you Ali, you have extraordinary talent, you keep writing and I'll keep reading everything you'll let me!

Imagine having a heart so big, you blow most of your trust fund trying to help animals. With her parents embarrassed by her charitable behavior, rather than supportive of it, Sadie finds herself cut off financially. Her only hope is to marry, and then gain access to the millions her grandmother left her.

Jameson is the next Westwood to receive “the talk.” Marry a woman of your choosing, or we’ll pick one for you. Marriage wasn’t something either of them wanted, but they suddenly found themselves exactly what the other needed.

The road to their second chance wasn’t smooth, paved with blackmail, misunderstandings, and the little obstacle of her brother/his best friend. But it all made for a great story. I can’t wait for the next story in this series

Jameson Westwood and Sadie Shephard each have problem with their family but Jameson thinks he may have come up with a solution that will benefit them both. This is book #2 in Ali's latest series. You have time to buy and read your first two books before the third one comes out. I love this series about the Westwood family, they have some real characters in it. I think I chuckled my way through reading the books.

Jamie and Sadie are different in every way, and he walked away once but now they both need to get married or else be cut off from their families. They strike up a deal and get married in name only but as they combine household's sparks ignite, and their relationship takes an about-face. What starts off as a marriage on paper turns into so much more for these two. Will they finally get their chance for happiness.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

James and Sadie had a romance that unfortunately was cut short by her older brother Trent. Now that James and Sadie are in the same boat and required to get married to avoid expectations of their family’s they come up with a plan. But as with any bad boy Ali writes they always fall head over heels in love with the strong leading lady and their plan is all a memory to look back on. This book was so good!

This book pulled me in from page one. I immediately felt Sadie's heart for animals and her frustration with her situation. I also felt Jameson's restlessness and frustration with not being really seen. Plus I had to know how in the world Jameson was going to handle Hooch! This book has all the Ali Parker goodness: some angst and drama, some twists and turns, discovery and romance. All that, plus the smokin-hot smexiness, makes the swoony HEA that much sweeter!
