the first time someone told me they were studying latin in school (bologna circa 2015) i thought they were studying latinidad. here i find the abyss between latinoamérica and the latins shallow & artificially darkened. chapters on renegotiating the topography of empire & rereading child sacrifice from a criollo perspective were my favorite!!!
