I originally rated this 4 stars - rounded up from 3.5 - but then I had a re-think and decided to downgrade. There’s just something not right about this book and I can’t put my finger on it. It had great potential with the storyline hit it devolved into an overly long erotica with no plot or actual penetrative sex.
The basic premise is highly desirable omega son of the head of a Japanese mafia branch is hidden away from society. He thinks it’s due to Dad being embarrassed but it’s clear it’s due to safety reasons. Dad gets sick and transfers guardianship of his son to the heads of an Italian mafia branch.
We then get nearly 400 pages of our omega trying to escape a couple of times, gets caught by our MCs, is then teased sexually etc. we have a whole long ass - like must have been 75-100 pages of our omega being sexually ravished - no penetration- under the guise of being forced into doing this to protect his elderly caretakers. Like huh? Just tell the guy that you’re his guardians and start building a relationship. It made fuck all sense.
It’s was so repetitive, Matteo or maybe Marco (?) they kinda blended into one, was constantly described as staring at Leo to understand each ‘micro expression’, it must have been used in every interaction between these two. Plus all the 3 MCs and Leo when kissing kept having spit strands stretching between them…. Like, again, huh, who thinks that’s a sexy description?!
I’m unsure how you can make sexual tension boring but this author managed it.
If you’re OK with minimal plot, dubcon, using omega biology to psychologically and sexually manipulative a person and a load of repetition then you’ll probably like this!

very repetitive
I was disappointed. The spicy scenes were very repetitive and felt recycled. Didn’t have much of a plot and like the first book the constant sassy dialogue from the omega character became very annoying. I found myself skimming through the banter and the spicy scenes. I powered through hoping to see more action but what little story line there is, isn’t explained.

This story pulled me in and the heat throughout was at a scorching level. I'm looking forward to seeing how Leo navigates this new environment with his 3 Alphas.

The 3x 6 months was too much on repeat... kept reading, wanting to find the end of the story. However, the book suddenly ends and you need to wait for the next.
