I received a free copy of, A Snowy Seaside Christmas by Eliza J Scott, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book six of six in the Micklewick Bay series. Lark Hunter loves vintage things, which s why she runs a vintage clothing store. A friend asks Lark to help him clear out an abandoned cottage. This was a cozy holiday read, I liked Lark a lot.

A Snowy Seaside Christmas is a heartwarming and enchanting festive read, set in the picturesque seaside town of Micklewick Bay. Eliza J. Scott has crafted another beautiful installment in her series, this time giving Lark Harker her own story, and it’s a true delight for fans of cozy romance with a touch of mystery.

Lark, owner of a vintage clothing boutique, is busy preparing magical Christmas displays and crafting shimmering decorations when her friend Nate Wilkinson arrives, asking for help with the abandoned Crayke’s Cottage. What begins as a practical task soon unfolds into a charming and intriguing mystery. Between two mysterious suitcases—one filled with sparkling 1940s clothes, the other with smuggling artefacts, coded messages, and a rusty iron key—Lark is drawn into a story that blends festive nostalgia, a hint of danger, and historical secrets.

The romance between Lark and Nate is a slow burn, tenderly written and entirely believable. Their friendship adds depth to their eventual connection, and the emotional beats are perfectly balanced with moments of humor and everyday charm. The supporting characters, especially Luna the cat and Bobby the dog, add warmth and comic relief, practically stealing every scene they’re in.

Scott’s portrayal of Micklewick Bay is immersive: you can feel the crisp sea air, hear the waves crashing, and experience the small-town community spirit. The blend of festive cheer, cozy mystery, and emotional resonance makes this book feel like a warm blanket on a snowy winter evening.

This installment also adds a layer of intrigue with the smuggling mystery, giving the story a touch of suspense without ever overshadowing the gentle, uplifting tone. Scott’s writing is skillful, combining nostalgia, romance, and curiosity in a way that keeps the pages turning.

Overall, A Snowy Seaside Christmas is a perfect Christmas read—comforting, magical, and thoroughly engaging. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Micklewick Bay series or joining Lark’s world for the first time, this story will leave you smiling, with your heart full and a craving for mince pies.

Thanks to NetGalley, Storm Publishing, and Eliza J. Scott for providing the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC !

Lark Harker was such a great main character—her vintage boutique in Micklewick Bay made the perfect backdrop, and when she discovered two mysterious suitcases just as the snow began to fall, I was completely drawn in. I loved the mix of romance and mystery, especially with Nate by her side. Their chemistry added warmth, and the seaside setting with snow swirling over the waves gave it that magical Christmas feel.

The community spirit, twinkling lights, and touches of history made this more than just a holiday romance—it was cozy, heartfelt, and uplifting. A wonderful festive read that’s perfect for curling up with by the fire.

I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the friend's stories in this series so far so was looking forward to Larks.

It was great to learn more about Lark, her background, her love of crystals and all things vintage, as well as her special gift.

I loved the friendship between Lark and Nate and hoped this would develop. I liked getting to know Lark’s Dad and hoped things would turn out well for him.

There are so many great characters in this series, apart from a few, and I liked the addition of the new ones.

I felt this book had everything you need for a great story. There is romance, families, friendship, community spirit as well as a mystery to solve.

A lovely read I couldn't put down.

I couldn't wait to get back to Micklewick Bay. I absolutely love it there. The residents are charming. The scenes are Christmas card worthy. And it always makes me smile.

This is the sixth book of the series...somebody please tell me it's not the last?

Snow is falling, fairy lights are twinkling and there's Christmas magic in the air...

It's wonderfully heartwarming, romantic, and the intrigue surrounding the mysterious suitcases the icing on the cake for me.

An absolute delight to read.

A Snowy Seaside Christmas by Eliza J. Scott. Thank you to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for my gifted ARC.

There’s a certain kind of book you pick up in the fall because you know it’ll do the heavy lifting for your seasonal mood. The candles are lit, the blanket is draped, the mug is steaming, and all you need is a story that doesn’t require you to think too hard but still makes you feel like you’re being hugged by fictional people who probably own too many fairy lights. A Snowy Seaside Christmas is that book, and Eliza J. Scott knows exactly what she’s doing. By now, we’re six books deep into Micklewick Bay, and the place has developed that cozy, lived-in feel—like Stars Hollow but with more Yorkshire grit and a lingering whisper of smuggler curses.

Lark Harker is our heroine this time, juggling her vintage clothing boutique with her inconvenient ability to sense things no one else can. She’s not just running a shop full of sequins and nostalgia—she’s wrestling with her own intuition, which insists on complicating her already messy feelings. Enter Nate Wilkinson, longtime friend, steady presence, owner of an upcycling business, and the kind of man who would probably fix your wobbly shelf and then apologize for not doing it sooner. Their dynamic is all about the slow burn, and while I adored it, there were moments when I wanted to bang their heads together and shout, “Yes, you like each other, now act on it before I turn to the dog for more decisive romantic energy.”

Speaking of which, let’s talk about Luna the cat and Bobby the dog. If you think animal sidekicks are optional in Christmas fiction, think again. These two practically ran away with the book. Whether it’s Luna slinking around like she owns the place or Bobby radiating loyal, goofy enthusiasm, they balance out the humans’ emotional dithering with pure, uncomplicated charm. Honestly, I’d read a spin-off novella just about their adventures in Micklewick Bay.

But it’s not all mistletoe and mince pies. When Lark and Nate start sorting through the mysterious Crayke’s Cottage, the tone shifts. This isn’t just a cozy romance—it’s got a thread of mystery woven in, with suitcases full of wartime clothes, cryptic smuggling artifacts, and one very rusty iron key that made me suspicious in all the right ways. I love that Scott doesn’t shy away from adding a dash of gothic atmosphere to her festive story; it keeps the sweetness from tipping into saccharine.

The setting, though, is the true star. Scott paints Micklewick Bay in such a way that you can practically hear the waves crashing against the shore while the snow falls in thick, silent layers. It’s not just quaint—it’s biting wind, stubborn weather, and the kind of community that thrives on gossip but also shows up for you when it counts. It’s easy to see why readers keep returning to this fictional seaside haven.

There were plenty of moments that made me grin, sigh, and occasionally roll my eyes in the best possible way. My favorite line: “Sometimes the heart knows before the head is ready to listen.” Yes, it’s romantic cheese, and yes, I highlighted it anyway, because who doesn’t want to be occasionally flattened by sincerity in between sarcastic asides? This book has the balance just right—comforting predictability with a few surprises tucked away like hidden gifts under the tree.

By the end, I was genuinely invested, not just in whether Lark and Nate would finally pull themselves together, but in the town, the history, and the little flickers of magic that make Christmas stories worth reading. Scott leans into the familiar beats of the genre but adds enough texture—through history, through atmosphere, through quirk—to keep things from feeling like recycled tinsel.

So, my verdict? This book is like a Christmas stocking: part sweets, part mystery, part unnecessary trinket you still weirdly love. It’s cozy escapism with teeth, and exactly the kind of read that makes you want to cancel real-life responsibilities, curl up, and let someone else’s holiday drama distract you from your own. Four and a half stars from me, generously rounded up because it left me smiling like a fool.

I went into A Snowy Seaside Christmas for twinkle lights, vintage fashion, and maybe a slow-burn kiss in the snow. What I did not expect was a full haunted seaside cottage, smuggler secrets, and our girl Lark absolutely vibing with ghost energy while pretending she’s not falling for her emotionally competent, furniture-recycling bestie. This book is like a Pinterest board that got possessed by a World War II widow and then still managed to serve piping hot cozy feelings with a side of slow-burn angst.

Lark Harker owns a vintage boutique in Micklewick Bay, and I swear to God, I would walk into that store and immediately black out from joy. Sequins, history, and handmade silk ribbon decor? Say less. But just as she’s prepping her storefront to out-Christmas every department store in Britain, Nate Wilkinson shows up at her cottage door like a sexy Labrador in work boots. He needs help clearing out Crayke’s Cottage, which the entire village whispers about like it’s the local murder shed. Naturally, they find two vintage suitcases, because this town does nothing without vintage flair, and one is giving “wartime romance” while the other is straight-up “local true crime podcast material.”

Inside: fabulous 1940s dresses, coded messages, smuggling artifacts, and a rusty iron key that practically screams “congratulations, you’ve unlocked a tragic backstory.” Lark, who is not just a boutique queen but also a human tuning fork for emotional vibes, immediately gets spooked by one suitcase while feeling nostalgic joy from the other. Honestly, this book would be a five-star Christmas read for the suitcases alone. I love when objects have trauma.

And then there’s the will-they-won’t-they of it all. Lark and Nate are the platonic ideal of “everyone in town already thinks you’re married,” but Lark has Intuition Issues. She’s got this deep-seated fear that the second she allows herself to love someone, the universe is going to yeet them out of existence. That’s a lot to unpack under the mistletoe. But Nate? Nate is so patient I wanted to shake him and yell “SIR, KISS HER IN FRONT OF THE SMUGGLER GHOSTS.”

Let’s also shout out the true scene-stealers: Luna the cat, who I’m convinced is a reincarnated Victorian widow, and Bobby the dog, who brings golden retriever energy in every possible sense. Between the enchanted pets, the cursed cottage, and the town’s unbothered attitude about local hauntings, this book is basically “Gilmore Girls but everyone has a past life and seasonal trauma.”

Now, does the romantic tension sometimes stretch on like one of those Hallmark movies where you’re screaming “just kiss already” through a mouthful of gingerbread? Yes. Did I care? Not really. The vibes were immaculate. The mystery was compelling without getting too dark, and the Christmas elements? Peak twinkly chaos. Bonus points for Lark’s aura readings and the fact that the plot involves literal smuggler codes and a cottage that probably has at least three unsolved crimes in the walls.

There were plenty of moments that made me grin, sigh, and occasionally roll my eyes in the best possible way. This book has the balance just right. Comforting predictability with a few surprises tucked away like hidden gifts under the tree.

By the end, I was genuinely invested, not just in whether Lark and Nate would finally pull themselves together, but in the town, the history, and the little flickers of magic that make Christmas stories worth reading. Scott leans into the familiar beats of the genre but adds enough texture through history, through atmosphere, through quirk to keep things from feeling like recycled tinsel.

So, my verdict? This book is like a Christmas stocking. Part sweets, part mystery, part unnecessary trinket you still weirdly love. It’s cozy escapism with teeth, and exactly the kind of read that makes you want to cancel real-life responsibilities, curl up, and let someone else’s holiday drama distract you from your own. Solid 3.5 stars.

In typical fashion for this series, this book is mainly centered on the life of one of the wonderful ladies in the friends group who live in Micklewick Bay. This time we get to learn more about calm, cool, laid back, Lark, who runs Lark's Vintage Bazaar where she sells vintage clothing, aromatherapy products, and a selection of crystals. Lark has a way of picking up on the vibes of others and being able to read their aura and that ability extends to the vintage clothing she sells. She only carries items in her shop that hold happy memories and positive vibes and she only fills her little home, Seashell Cottage, with the same. In addition to the usual group of friends, Jasmine, Florrie, Maggie, and Stella, Lark also spends much of her time with her friend, Nate, who runs an upcycling shop where he takes old furniture and housewares and repurposes and reinvigorates them into items that his customers love. The two of them find themselves clearing out a cottage that has been closed up for ages in Old Micklewick. Nate bought all of the contents from the owner who is all too eager to have Nate clear Crayke's Cottage, the cold and spooky cottage purported to have ties to the smuggling trade that took place in the seventeen-hundreds, so that it can be put on the market. Lark and Nate both salvage items that they can sell in their respective shops. Throughout the book, Lark finds herself drawn more and more to Nate as much more than a friend, but she just can't seem to allow herself to take the step into a relationship with him. The book, of course, has an appearance of nasty Dodgy Dick and his annoying wife, Wendy, and they are no better than they've been in previous stories. On a positive note, Lark's father, Silas, comes to stay with her and has big news to share. Take the time to visit Micklewick Bay and get to know Lark, Nate, and everyone else a bit more and see what the story and the future holds for them. This is another great addition to this charming series by Eliza J. Scott.

A Snowy Seaside Christmas by Eliza J. Scott is the sixth book in the Micklewick Bay series and centers on Lark Harker and her friendship with Nate Wilkinson. If you have read the previous five books, you know Lark’s friends are pushing for a romance between the two, but Lark is hesitant.

Nate asks her to help clean out Crayke’s Cottage, Lark takes home two suitcases, hoping for items to sell at her vintage store. Lark often gets a sixth sense on objects, and one suitcase gives her visions of a happy life. The second suitcase contains smuggling artefacts, cryptic coded messages, and a rusty iron key, and fills her with a sense of dread. Nate and Lark turn to the heritage center to learn more about the owner of the suitcases and meet the new curator, Louisa.

Lark’s father, Silas, prepares to move to Micklewick Bay after having been a widower for three years. He becomes involved in Lark’s search for answers about the mysterious suitcase and strikes up a friendship with Louisa. This makes Lark happy because her father has been very depressed since his wife’s death and his friendship with Louisa adds joy to his life.

I enjoy that Lark’s friends and relatives are accepting of her gifts of feelings and visions. There is a lot of time spent on Lark’s feelings towards Nate and her visions and how they impact on her relationships with others that overwhelm the story at times. If she feels like Nate could have a physical ailment or something wrong, why not tell him? It’s not like he doesn’t know she has a sense of things to come.

Overall, readers will enjoy this story of Lark and Nate, especially if you have read the previous books in the series. There is a sense of “about time” to this book and all her friends certainly agree to that. I like the new beginning for her father, also. I’m not sure if there will be future books in the series since all the friends have paired up, but I hope so because you feel like they are your friends and enjoy getting a peek into their lives.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a delight it is to be back in Micklewick Bay with Eliza J Scott’s latest romantic charmer, A Snowy Seaside Christmas.

Vintage clothing boutique owner Lark Harker is busy getting ready for the festive season, however, her Yuletide plans are put on hold when Nate Wilkinson arrives at her door with a proposition. The owner of a local upcycling business, Nate needs Lark’s help clearing out a local cottage the locals swear is cursed and haunted by its smuggling past. Deep within Crayke’s Cottage, Lark and Nate discover two mysterious leather suitcases: one holding 1940s clothing and the other a much darker collection: smuggling artefacts, cryptic messages and an old key that soon gets their minds racing…

Determined to get to the bottom of this mystery and unlock the secrets hidden within the suitcases, Lark finds herself relying on Nate and as the two of them begin to get closer and closer, sparks quickly begin to fly. Yet, Lark has always kept her heart under lock and key. But will her stubborn determination to stay single end up costing her this chance at happiness?

When the rusty key leads to another shocking discovery, Lark realises that she can only move forward if she trust her instincts, listens to her gut and follows her heart…

Eliza J Scott writes gorgeous escapist romances perfect for Jessica Redland and Julie Shackman fans. A Snowy Seaside Christmas is a witty, emotional and uplifting romantic read that tugs at the heartstrings, tickles the funny bone and will keep readers gleefully turning the pages late into the night.

Just the thing to curl up with on a dull autumnal day, A Snowy Seaside Christmas by Eliza J Scott is a treat romantics everywhere deserve!

A Snowy Seaside Christmas by Eliza J. Scott

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

As snow falls over Micklewick Bay, Lark Harker is preparing for the busy festive season at her vintage clothing boutique, creating enchanting window displays of sequinned dresses and crafting handmade Christmas decorations from shimmering silk ribbon.

But her festive preparations are put on hold when Nate Wilkinson arrives at her cottage door. The owner of a local upcycling business, Nate asks for her help clearing out the long-abandoned Crayke’s Cottage – a place locals whisper is cursed and haunted by its smuggling past.

Deep within the cottage's shadowy rooms, Lark discovers two mysterious leather suitcases. The first reveals a treasure trove of 1940s clothes that sparkle with wartime romance and mystery. But the second holds a darker collection: smuggling artefacts, cryptic coded messages and a rusty iron key that gets Lark’s mind racing.

As Lark consults the town’s museum curator to unlock the suitcases' secrets, she finds herself torn between growing feelings for her dear friend Nate and her inexplicable intuition that warns her away from love. When the rusty key leads to a shocking discovery in the cottage, Lark must trust her instincts and overcome her fears to finally find the greatest treasure of all…

My Opinion

A Snowy Seaside Christmas is the sixth book in the Micklewick Bay series. Eliza J. Scott has written a lovely, heart-warming festive novel. With a side of mystery, this will make for a great holiday read. It was nice to catch up with some familiar characters in a lovely setting.

How can one resist a book with the subtitle "Welcome to your Happy Place?" A happy holiday read was exactly what I was seeking when I came upon A Snowy Seaside Christmas. Although this is the sixth book in Eliza J. Scott's Micklewick Bay series, it's easy to step in here without benefit of the earlier installments.

This is a perfect book for anyone who wants a heavy dose of Christmas spirit, complete with much snow, beautiful fairy lights, good food, and a double dose of romance. All of the characters are richly relatable, except a few villains who, fortunately, have very minor roles. The settings are beautifully described, right down to the bone-chilling cold winds off the North Sea and the eerie cottage that holds historical treasure.

Once I adjusted to the colloquial English seaside dialect, the story was an easy read. There was just one point that was extremely frustrating; the main character, Lark, is grappling with feelings for a male friend and she "makes a mistake", as she says. That's all I'll mention to avoid spoilers, but suffice to say her actions were maddening to read. However, that's the sign of an excellent writer - one who stirs emotion in the reader.

I suppose I've read too many mysteries, because I kept looking for a hidden agenda/plot twist, but there is none. This is simply a lovely story about relationships, holidays, family, and a bit of history. It was truly a peaceful pleasure to read. A Snowy Seaside Christmas was such a lovely surprise. I went in expecting a cozy, small-town festive romance and instead found a story with unexpected layers of mystery and a touch of the paranormal that made it even more magical. It’s rare for a Christmas book to give me both that warm, comforting feeling and a few spine-tingling moments, but this one managed it beautifully.

The seaside village setting is wonderful—richly described, close-knit, and full of the kind of characters that make you wish you could move there yourself. I loved how the sense of community shone through everything, from neighbourly gestures to shared heartbreaks and celebrations. Each person felt distinct and genuine, adding depth to the story rather than just filling the background.

The paranormal elements were such a delightful twist. They added atmosphere and emotion in just the right measure without ever overwhelming the heart of the story. It all blended so naturally with the setting and tone that it felt completely believable.

This was my first book by Eliza J. Scott, but it certainly won’t be my last. It’s tender, a little mysterious, and full of festive charm—the perfect read to curl up with on a snowy night.

A wonderfully cozy Christmas story with heart, warmth, and just a sprinkle of magic.

A Snowy Seaside Christmas by Eliza J. Scott is a cozy, festive read set in a charming seaside village — the kind of setting that makes you want to curl up with a hot drink and a wooly blanket.

This was my first book by the author, and while it’s technically the sixth in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. That said, there are a lot of recurring characters and relationships woven throughout the story, and it took me a little while to find my footing among all the names and backstories.

I was especially intrigued by the hint of historical smuggling mentioned in the description, but that thread wasn’t quite as prominent as I had hoped. Similarly, the romance element felt quite understated — sweet, but not particularly central or sweeping.

Still, Scott's writing has a warmth and friendliness that fans of small-town holiday fiction will likely enjoy. There’s a strong sense of community, cozy winter scenes, and plenty of seasonal charm. If you're already familiar with the characters from previous books, I imagine this one will feel like revisiting old friends.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. This title releases around October 17, just in time to kick off the holiday reading season.

A Snowy Seaside Christmas delivers exactly what it promises, a charming, picturesque holiday escape to a beautiful coastal town. If you’re looking for a book that feels like a Hallmark movie wrapped in a blanket, this is it. The setting of Micklewick Bay is truly lovely, and the festive details, from the vintage clothing boutique to the snow-covered cottages, do a fantastic job of establishing a cozy Christmas atmosphere.

However, the three-star rating is because the story itself felt a little thin. While the subplot involving the mysterious old cottage and the suitcases of 1940s clothing added a nice touch of historical intrigue, the main romantic storyline between Lark and Nate was very predictable. There was a lot of back-and-forth tension that dragged on a bit too long, and their "growing feelings" felt inevitable from the first chapter.

It’s a perfect comfort read to get you into the holiday spirit, but if you're looking for deep character development or a plot with genuine surprises, this might not fully satisfy. It’s sweet, warm, and entirely harmless, a nice, fluffy cup of festive cheer.

I've read and enjoyed two of the previous books in this series and was looking forward to reading this, the penultimate book in the series. This time the main characters are Lark, the owner of the local vintage clothing boutique and her long time friend Nate, who has an upcycling business. When they help clear a local cottage linked to bygone times smuggling they stumble upon a mystery.
There is an element of the supernatural in this story, Lark has physic abilities and can sense auras plus deals in aromatherapy, I'm open minded on this and it is an important part of the story. There is a will they /won't they admit the potential romance between these two, in addition Lark is joined by her widowed father who is still grieving his loss, however there is someone who might help him with this. There are also Lark's friends providing support, some of whose stories in this series that I've read and others that I will have to catch up upon. In summary I loved this quirky addition to the series and look forward to reading the next and last one in the series.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

This was my first book by this author - and I had realised it was part of a series.

I did finish it but it really wasn’t for me. I understand that the use of crystals and premonitions and auras would appeal to many it just isn’t something that I have an interest in.

I found the Lark and Nate relationship tiring and wished they would get in with it.
The smuggling story was slightly more interesting though I was disappointed not to find out what the large key was for. Maybe I missed a bit?
The suitcase opening was strange to me and I never did work out the relationships with the Craykes and the FitzGilberts.

It was obvious that there were back stories for many of the characters which I found a bit hard to follow as I hasn’t read the rest of the series. There was some summary but not quite enough for me.

The relationship between Silas - Larks father and her mother who was in Thailand with her partner Elfie was unconventional to say the least but dealt with, with empathy.

I found the book rather slow and repetitive at times and it was a real struggle to finish it - in fact I found the end slightly disappointing. Not sure I would look for more in the series.

This book is actually book number six from a seven book series called Micklewick Bay. Even though each book can very easily be read as a stand alone they are always much better when enjoyed as part of the whole series.

Right from the very beginning i was pulled into this books pages, it was definitely a page-turner and once i started it I just couldn’t stop until i had read every last page and devoured it all up - perfect!

I really loved Lark and Nate, they were both so real and such down to earth characters that were beautifully written and definitely had a slow burn romance. I also loved Luna and Bobby and absolutely loved reading about these two!

A Snowy Seaside Christmas is set in the gorgeous seaside town of Micklewick Bay and i loved getting immersed in all its uplifting goodness.

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming, nostalgic, feel good story…it was set in the busy festive season and has just a sprinkle of wonderful christmas magic. It is such a wonderful, cosy romance with a nice little dusting of mystery thrown in for good measure, beautifully written and just what i needed to read…..

This is another fantastic seaside Micklewick Bay book. If you haven't read them you really need to they are fantastic! This is the sixth one and still just as great as the first. This one is about Lark and Nate getting even more closer together as they fall in love during the Christmas season. Oh, also as Nate has asked for her help in cleaning out a supposed haunted and long abandoned cottage she has to say yes. While doing the said cleaning she finds two very old suitcases. One filled with old time clothes and another with smuggling artifacts, cryptic coded messages and a rusty old key. I will leave these things up for your imagination and so you can get the book and find out what happens next....... Such a great book you are going to love it. There is love, and mystery and it definitely feels like your in a movie watching from the inside and maybe you are sitting in a chair like being a fly on the wall, except you are drinking something warm and there to see what happens next..... Thank you to NetGalley and to Storm Publishing for the early read.

A Snowy Seaside Christmas is a cozy festive read that blends seaside charm, vintage fashion, a touch of mystery, and just the right amount of romance. Lark Harker is busy decking out her boutique with holiday sparkle when she’s pulled into the secrets of Crayke’s Cottage—a place with whispers of smugglers, hidden suitcases, and coded messages. With the help of her friend Nate, she uncovers more than old treasures—she finds herself facing her own guarded heart.

I loved how the novel balanced its cozy Christmas setting with an intriguing dash of mystery. The vintage details and seaside atmosphere made it feel atmospheric and immersive, like curling up by the fire with a mug of cocoa. The slow-burn romance between Lark and Nate was tender and believable, though I did wish for a little more development in places.

Overall, this is a lovely, feel-good story perfect for readers who enjoy seasonal escapes with heart, history, and a sprinkle of holiday ma

First of all thank you for letting me read this ARC.

This was such a cute festive read. The story takes place in Micklewick Bay. A cutesy seaside town, where we meet Lark who owns a vintage store. When her and her friend nate need stumble across some very old suitcases in a old cottage their adventure begins.

It's was my first time reading any book from Eliza J Scott. But I've really enjoyed it. This book can easily be read as a standalone book as you get introduced to all the characters which was something I really liked. The story is just an overall very feel good, Christmassy joy story.

And I'll definitely be checking out the other books in this serie. For me this book series is seriously underrated if they all have this sort of story.

I liked that there were some parts which were a bit mysterious and weren't uncovered till the end. But we still got a happy ending and Christmas joy

Okay but A Snowy Seaside Christmas had NO right being this cute and this emotional. I picked it up for cozy small-town holiday vibes and suddenly I’m knee-deep in feelings, cinnamon, and seaside nostalgia.

The FMC is that “I’m fine” girl who is absolutely not fine but still saving everyone’s Christmas. The MMC? Golden-retriever energy in fisherman’s flannel. Their chemistry is the kind that hums quietly until it explodes under the mistletoe.

Eliza J. Scott writes the seaside like she’s bottling comfort, snow on the sand, fairy lights in shop windows, gossiping locals who love too loudly. It’s funny, heartfelt, and surprisingly healing.

By the end I was grinning, teary, and ready to move to this fictional coastal village forever. A perfect blend of heart, humor, and hot chocolate feelings.

Basically: it’s cozy chaos and Christmas magic in book form.

A snowy Seaside Christmas is not only a charming romance, but also a dash of mystery and a hint of ghostly vibes.

Lark Harker runs the Vintage store in Micklewick Bay. She is helping her friend Nate Wilkinson are cleaning out an abandoned cottage. They discover a history of smuggling, rumors of unusual things happening in the cottage not helped by the present owner's refusal to want to anything in it or to be in it himself. The is the setting of a small-town Christmas, Liza realizing she feels more than friendship for her friend Nate, and he might feel the same for her.

The story is full of holiday charm and warmth and everything you need to escape the daily with a good story and cup of tea.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the chance to read this delightful story.

I love this series.

Micklewick Bay is a wonderful setting, and feels like a wonderful community to be a part of.

This book is slightly different from the others although includes all of the usual characters. This started with more intrigue due to the setting in Crayke's Cottage, and a slighter darker tone. Lark is a wonderful character, and despite being a bit woo-woo and in tune with other worldy vibes, she is incredibly relatable.

You want to cheer on her relationship with Nate, and the parallel one of her Dad and Louisa (and the conclusion is wonderful).

A book featuring books and bookshops is always a win for me, and love the bits about the authors and their readings, and the influence on the community, and even bits about Dodgy Dick and his cronies, may he get his comeuppance soon!

I would recommend this series to anyone, and find our own version of Micklewick and its characters.

Lark was instantly a character I felt an attachment to, she's very warm and empathetic and I enjoyed her interest in crystals, auras and her gift of perception. The vintage clothing shop she runs was a joy to read about.
I understood her pain from her past experience and why she was reluctant to be anything more than friends with Nate, and how this story developed was slow and comforting.
There are a lot of characters from previous books set in the same village, but you can muddle through ok if you haven't read any of them as background information is given.
I love reading about the community of Micklewick Bay and its history is really explored in this storyline and is love to now read more in this series.

"Wrapping Christmas presents was one of Lark's very favourite things to do... She trimmed them with a variety of re-purposed items including vintage ribbons and lace, buttons and beads, and even pieces of fabric she considered suitable. These treasures were stored in a box she kept tucked under the stairs, and it always sent a thrill dancing through her when she lifted the lid."

'A Snowy Seaside Christmas' is so warm and comforting it's the book equivalent of a mug of hot chocolate. A gentle, cosy read - it evoked a festive atmosphere beautifully. 🎄💖 It's the first I've read in this series, but it worked as a standalone. I think it'd appeal to fans of Jenny Colgan and Cressida McLaughlin.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy.

I loved being back in Micklewick Bay and this time the focus was on Lark who owns a vintage clothing boutique. After helping friend Nate clear out an old cottage she returns home with two suitcases. The first one is an absolute treasure trove of garments and accessories from the 1940s. However the second one makes Lark feel extremely uncomfortable. Lark and Nate get in touch with the local heritage centre to see if they can find out more about the history of the cottage and its links to smuggling. Lark is also trying to work out her feelings for Nate but her intuition is telling her to not take their friendship to the next level. What follows is a lovely emotional story that includes friendship, family, community spirit and giving love a chance all sprinkled with some Christmas magic

Lark and Nate are emptying out a cottage on the sea. The cottage is rumored to be an old smuggling den. Lark who is sensitive is receiving all sorts of bad vibes from the cottage. They’re both looking for vintage items, Nate for furniture he can rehab and Lark for clothing for her vintage shop. Lark’s father lets her know that he’ll be coming for Christmas and that he’ll be house hunting as he’s sold his home. The story continues through the Christmas busy Christmas season with time out for trying to solve the mystery of the smuggling cottage. I have not read this series before. I love the characters and enjoyed the mystery. I would recommend both the series and the author. #NetGalley

This was awesome. It was lovely being back in Micklewick Bay with all the characters we've come to love. I was thrilled that Lark finally got her own story. It was sweet, and although her and Nate encounter a bit of a bump in the road, Lark finally discovers why she's always been a bit unsure about allowing her friendship with Nate to develop further. Some interesting tidbits about the smugglers of years gone by too. An absolutely wonderful story.
Thanks to Netgalley, Storm Publishing, and Eliza J. Scott for the free ARC. All opinions are my own.
