A "choose your own adventure" story for grown ups!
and I think that was about as exciting as it got...
don't get me wrong, it's not a terrible book, but it could have been so much better.
I planned on returning to the start and taking different options to see what else could have happened. but when I reached the "end" it was pretty clear to me that no matter what path I chose throughout the book, this was the one and only way this story was going to finish.
And I really didn't like this extremely judgmental woman (I liked her until the final "chapter"), who after only a few days, seems to have some deep insight & understanding of these two men and their apparent dysfunctional family. so I decided once was enough, I didn't really need to know "what may have been".
A woman meets two brothers in a bar after being stood up by her date. They both wants her and then she get to decide which guy she wants. I didn't feel connected with any of the characters, I didn't found that there was much of a plot and the ending wasn't satisfying to me. I'm not saying that to hurt the author or anything but something was missing and I didn't really enjoy this new concept of choosing the short chapters you want to read (I've read it entirely without choosing).

This was definitely a different kind of story and I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
I spent the first portion of the book quite confused and not knowing what the heck was going on. It was your typical good boy vs bad boy with a twist but I would have preferred there not to be a twist with this one.
The writing itself was fairly good but overall this book just wasn't for me.
I am giving this book 3 stars because I have to give the Author credit for trying something different and unique.
A free copy of this book was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. So this book is one of those pick-your-own-story books where you're given two options for how you want the story to go at the end of each chapter. The basic premise is that a woman is stood up on a date at a bar and meets two brothers, both of whom offer her another date and you have to decide whether you're going to pick the bad-boy rocker or the good-boy businessman. First of all, I did like the premise of this book with you being given the choice of how you want the story to be played out, however the execution of it was a bit clumsy and after a great opening chapter, I felt slightly let down. In many ways, I kind of feel like this book would have benefitted greatly from just being a straight story. As it is, it's too bitty and so you never get a sense of the characters beyond the cliché. Plus, given that we only see snapshots of the characters rather than following through on them, they don't actually seem that nice or appealing. The woman is busy talking about how she's too good to be stood up by anyone and deserves the best, and the two brothers are too busy scrapping over her that they both just seem arrogant. I read all the endings and only one of them - where she ends up with the rocker brother was vaguely happy. Unpleasant and underdeveloped characters meant that I couldn't really get into this book, although I did like the concept and the first chapter was very engaging. 1.5 stars.
I received this ARC of Good Boy, Bad Boy by Jane Nin from SilkWords through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The story begins with a women sitting at a bar waiting for her date that hasn’t shown up. Knowing she’s been stood up she focuses her attention on the other patrons and meets two attractive brothers, Whit and RJ. The reader then has choices to make, which will set the course of how the story will progress and end.
First things first, the cover is great. It caught my attention right away with the bold colors standing out against the dark background. I’ve never read something like this before so it was interesting. It kind of reminded me of a video game which is strange but cool.
I laughed on the first read through because based on my choices, which I guess were bad, I was led to a quick ending. I then went back and read the story with all the different options available. It was interesting to see how the story changed.
I did feel like the story was too short and would have liked a longer novel with more choices. The characters were interesting and I felt like there was so much more to their stories to explore. I would really like to read more about them.
A woman meets two men at a bar and the reader gets to decide how the story unfolds from there.
This was my first experience with an interactive story and to be honest I am not real sure what to think yet. On one hand it was was very fun to be able to chose where to go with the story but the choices were so drastically different you could pretty much predict everything that was going to happen. I would have loved to have had more choices that let you chose the direction of the story without giving everything away. Also the characters were a little flat.
I will say, the cover is what drew me to the book. However, after I started to read it, I realized it was not what I expected. I've never read a book where I could PICK how it ended.
There were a few times throughout the story where I was left feeling confused by what exactly was going on, but I still enjoyed the book.
I will definitely give props to the author for writing a book that is more than different from all the others out there.
I'd say if you're interested in looking for something different, go ahead and give this book a shot.

Disclaimer: I received this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. This steamy hot book is about a women who meets two brothers at a bar. She has to choose which one.
I enjoyed this "pick your path" erotic book. I enjoy having a choice in how the story goes. The "pick your path" is a great idea for the erotica genre. Women get to be in control of the action. This book is "very hot" (It definitely made me very hot!) I gave this book 4 stars. (I would have given it 5 if the women got a choice to have both men. Neither man has to be jealous or hurt. Seriously, problem solved.) I think there needs to be more books like this!

pissed as hell from being stood up at the bar, she consoles herself over a drink with a gorgeous stranger and his very scruffy brother.
Will she choose the bad boy the musician or the suit and tie lobbyist?
this another one of those books where you choose your own ending im not a fan of these and i really dont see the point of it to me as a reader i want to no the ending not choose the ending, i just could not get in to the characters at all either.
This book was written to an ok standard just not my cup of tea sorry
Lady stood up on date meets brothers that are opposites. This was quickly better than others in this genre; the main character is incredibly funny, and the dialogue, especially her inner one, highlights it. Choosing between two brothers she finds hot doesn’t get any easier when she finds they’re both jerks, though the bad boy’s music and stage presence does sway her a bit more. There’s a nice touch when she wonders if they really want her or if it’s simply a competition between them. . . though it could surely be both. And then the guy who stood her up turns out to have a good reason. Best I’ve read by this author.
This book had potential. It has one of the most interesting and unique concept whereby the readers are able to decide the main character's fate and who she ends up with in the end. However, it was lacking in depth and plot and character. Its too short of a read to be able to enjoy and appreciate the concept. It was fun, I gotta admit. But there wasn't much happening in the story. The characters felt unreal. I do applaud the author for creating this concept.
Choose your own adventure kind of fun. Only thing was it was too short to really get the gist of the characters but it was a good idea. The woman....who has no name...picks between both brothers. It was hard to use on a kindle so it would probably work on a site better. Whit and RJ are polar opposite brothers, both have money but one plays in a band, and the other one has a responsible career. Three stars of entertainment!
I received this ebook from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. You are a career woman and you can choose what brother to date: the bad boy musician or the good corporate boy? I have read both and found it amusing but no more. Vote: 2.5 Stars
I really wanted to love this book. The concept was great but I found that the options were to distracting for me. It was a fun adventure when I started the book however it became to much for me.
