ISABEL RICARDO wrote her first book at 11 years old, and has created a vast, award-winning masterpiece, published not only in Portugal but also abroad.

Her first children's book: The Enchanted Forest was published in 1993, with an ecological message, receiving a Culture award.

Revered as a valuable reference in juvenile and young adult's literature, she is the author of successful series such as THE ADVENTURERS, composed by a total of 13 volumes, the first of which is on its 10th edition, the WARRIORS of the LIGHT pentalogy, currently sold out, and also the GRAIL'S SANCTUARY trilogy, which is not yet completed.

The great success among children, The Ghost of the Torn Underwear is in her authorship, as are A Very Interesting Dream, The Greedy Little Bunny, The Adventures of Xico-Larico, The Clumsy Little Bat, The Enchanted Forest, Vitinho's Mischiefs e When I Was A Sparrow.

Isabel Ricardo's children and youth work is characterized by an Environmental concern, as well as the transmission of important messages and values to our youngest, without ever forgetting about humour. Her children and youth books are recommended by several Portuguese Professors.
