Quick Summary
🪽Natalie might’ve doubted herself, but Drake was basically her personal hype man and it was swoon central. Their chemistry was off the charts, and watching their bond grow felt so natural and sweet. Even in a short book, the story packed a punch and left me wanting more of that world!

Reading Thoughts
📓The mystery at the beginning as to what the pull between them was going to be like was so intriguing
📓Natalie’s overall lack of confidence in herself and how Drake ensures she is special and knows it was swoon worthy
📓The chemistry was written so well and I felt all the feels.
📓The development of their connection was done soo well. When it is a short book this can sometimes be lost but Cynthia did an amazing job.
📓The concept of the story was brilliant and I could read more of this world.

Words that linger
🍷“My younger self and I are not friends,” I protest glumly.
🍷It’s just my luck that he’s seeing me freshly dumped, with more ice cream under my belt than usual.
🍷My blush comes back like a freaking boomerang. “It’s fine. I’m not very memorable.”
🍷“Don’t scream unless my name is on your lips, Kitten,” he warns,
🍷“Respecting you doesn’t make me good. It should be automatic. Expected.”
🍷“Coming to me just like the good girl I know you are,” I purr against her neck,

A short novella, told from dual point of view, this book gave a bit of everything. It had a cosy Christmas feel which has totally gotten me in the mood for the holidays, a generous but not too overpowering amount of spice, paranormal vibes as MMC is a panther shapeshifter and an accidental mate bond. I read it in one sitting.

The MMC Drake is perfect, even if he is a 6ft black panther that accidentally marked the FMC in the heat of the moment and she’s now bound to him forever. I want someone to worship me the same as he worships Natalie the cute FMC musician. I liked how their relationship played out in such a short story. It didn’t feel rushed or lacking in detail and I was able to connect with them.

I’ve read a few fated mates/mate bond stories now and I really enjoyed this one in particular. I liked the style in which it was done and wasn’t too overly animalistic with the spice, which can be a bit off putting for my preferences.

I also enjoyed that each chapter was titled with a musical term which reflected the mood of the chapter. That was a nice touch and added to the musical theme of the book. I really enjoyed the playlist for the book as well.

Overall, this was a well deserved 4 stars for a Christmassy, paranormal romance. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work.

A Christmas Cadence by Cynthia Brubaker

🌶️🌶️

This was a cute Christmas novella! I really enjoyed our MMC — handsome, dark, protective, respectful… and a hot black panther shifter. Our FMC is sweet and shy, still healing from past breakups and a lackluster relationship, and I loved watching her step into her own.

The story kicks off with a one-night stand that takes a magical turn when the MMC accidentally marks the FMC for life. From there, they begin navigating their unexpected bond as she works through her fears while he remains fiercely devoted.

The book had great potential! It was interesting and sweet, and the spicy scenes absolutely delivered. The writing felt a little stop-and-go at times, and I would’ve loved more world-building — especially the shifter history and magical lore — but it was still an enjoyable read.

If you’re new to fantasy romance, this makes for a quick, simple, and festive intro.

3.75 ⭐️ This was a sweet holiday novella with several steamy scenes included! For a short story, this one packs a lot in. Our FMC, Natalie, is human and fresh out of a break-up with her ex who sounds like an emotionally abusive jerk. She definitely has some issues learning to trust in relationships again.

Enter our MMC, Drake, who happens to be her high school crush, and is secretly a shifter who turns into a huge black panther.

This is definitely not insta-love. He accidentally “marks” her during a hookup and she is DEFINITELY not happy about it. Eventually he’s able to earn her trust little by little and as they get to know each other, the feelings grow into something way more than just the “mate bond”.

Also - the main characters were both in the marching band in high school and the FMC still plays her clarinet, even auditions for traveling orchestras occasionally, so music is a large part of their story. The author’s use of musical terminology for the chapter titles and how she uses them to show the ups and downs of their relationship… absolutely brilliant!!

In the first part of the book, I was legitimately angry… frustrated? Annoyed? With the FMC (not completely warranted but still!) and I couldn’t help but keep reading to see what would unfold. (She redeemed herself haha) In all the ways that a one night stand could go wrong, this was definitely a new one! And really… it was more of a right than a wrong in my humble opinion. The spice was perfectly placed and amazingly written 🥵, I absolutely fell in love with the characters, and find myself wishing I lived in this adorable small town! When we sat lovable side characters, we mean it! (Pattie I’m looking at YOU!) this read was so fun and so captivating, that I am sitting at the edge of my seat begging Cynthia to write more stories in this world! For my lovers of protective meets cinnamon roll meets broody MMCs, you are going to love Drake! Pick up this novella IMMEDIATELY with your favorite warm beverage and a fluffy blanket!

A spicy, supernatural christmas read? Yes please! I liked this fast paced read. I didn't know any of the musical terms before reading, now I've learnt a little of them.

A school reunion has opened up a whole new side to life for Natalie. When she see's Drake again, after so many years, her attraction is still there. I like how quick we get to the action!

I'm liking supernatural reads at the minute and this one didn't disappoint! I like the illustrations dotted throughout, they were a nice surprise and they are beautiful!

This book\story is a short fast paced read. Sadly there was no depth to the characters.
FMC gets marked but never actually sits the MMC down to get the whole story and details of what that all entails. He gives her quick overviews that don't really explain anything and she takes off before they can have actual conversations. If O were marked and was told I'd be experiencing physical symptoms. I would definitely need more info.

Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book that is about to be released on December 19th called, A Christmas Cadence. This was such a fun supernatural holiday novella! It was about Natalie, who comes back to her hometown for the holidays and while she's home she attends her high school reunion, where she reconnects with her high school crush, Drake. Drake and Natalie end up having what was meant to be just a simple one night stand, but when Drake accidentally bites her and marks Natalie as his mate, now their futures are forever intertwined. Drake is a black panther shifter who just accidentally marked a human, and with the bond that will be coming into place between them things are about to get very complicated for these two.
This was such an enjoyable paranormal holiday read! It gave Christmas vibes and Gilmore Girls vibes (the small town felt just like Stars Hollow, even including characters named Pattie and Babette!) Also I loved that The Vampire Diaries was mentioned, the supernatural element of this storyline was so entertaining and written really well! I read this in one night and even though this is under 200 pages it didn't feel rushed at all, it flowed so well and I was able to connect to the characters and the storyline so easily! This was the perfect holiday read! I really loved this story and I can't wait for what the author writes next! 💚📚

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for this ARC of, A Christmas Cadence, in exchange for an honest review.

Shifting Gears for the Holidays: A Purr-fectly Fated Mate Romance 💘

❤️My sincere thanks to NetGalley, Cynthia Brubaker, and Victory Editing for providing me with an advance reader copy of this book. I truly appreciate the opportunity to read it before publication and to share my honest thoughts. I’m grateful for the trust placed in reviewers and for the continued access to exciting new titles.❤️

A Christmas Cadence blends small-town holiday charm with a paranormal romance twist that feels fresh, warm, and emotionally engaging. Cynthia Brubaker delivers a festive shifter romance that focuses on connection, second chances, and the unexpected pull of destiny. "A Christmas Cadence" takes the beloved second-chance-romance trope and infuses it with thrilling supernatural intensity. This is not your typical cozy Christmas read, it’s a high-heat, fast-paced shifter romance perfect for readers who like their holiday stories with claws and fated-mate drama.

Characters :
The chemistry between Natalie and Drake is palpable from their first interaction.

Natalie is a relatable heroine, grappling with professional aimlessness, making her sudden entry into the supernatural world all the more dramatic. She is quickly tested, and her reaction to the "staggering secret" is handled realistically enough to ground the fantasy elements.

Drake, the brooding shifter, is the ideal romantic lead. His inner struggle between protecting his secret and giving in to the fierce possessiveness of the mating bond drives much of the book’s emotional conflict. His transformation from high school trumpet player to secretive panther shifter is executed beautifully, giving him depth beyond the typical brooding alpha. The spice level is high, as the "physical pull" of their forced bond ensures their interactions are intense and unforgettable.

Natalie’s closest friends add warmth and authenticity to the reunion setting. Their banter, history, and support help paint a fuller picture of Ilex Creek and give the story a genuine small-town holiday feel.

What Worked Well For Me:

1. Strong character chemistry between Natalie and Drake, enhanced by the supernatural “mate” bond without overshadowing their personal growth.

2. A festive winter atmosphere that balances cozy holiday vibes with emotional tension.

3. Smooth pacing, especially once Natalie and Drake reconnect at the reunion.

4. A well-constructed paranormal element that blends seamlessly with the romance and doesn’t overwhelm the story.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Christmas Cadence" is a roaring success in the holiday paranormal romance genre. It's a quick, passionate read that delivers on its promises of fated mates, instant chemistry, and small-town charm wrapped up in festive tinsel. If you enjoy sexy shifters, accidental mating tropes, and a dash of holiday magic, this book will leave you feeling warm all over.

Words that linger:

My blush comes back like a freaking boomerang. “It’s fine. I’m not very memorable.”

Highly Recommended for: Fans of PNR (Paranormal Romance), Shifter Romance, Fated Mates tropes, and those looking for a high-heat, fast-burn holiday book.

This book focuses on the main characters, Natalie and Drake. The book starts with them at a school reunion twelve years after they last saw each other. Natalie had always had a crush on Drake but had never felt good enough for him. Drake had always liked Natalie but had never found the time to tell her! At the reunion they get along really well and Drake rescues Natalie from Lyle, a pig headed offensive jerk! Natalie and Drake bond well and end up spending a passionate and steamy night together however Drake accidentally ‘marks’ Natalie meaning she is forever bonded to him! Not only that but if they are too far apart, they both feel physical pain and sickness!

When Natalie discovers Drake’s true shape shifting form and that he has marked her, she is terrified and runs away from him. He tries to contact her to explain about ‘marking’ her and what that means but she blocks his messages and doesn’t respond. Scarred by hurt from a previous relationship, Natalie doesn’t want to feel ‘imprisoned’ by someone.

I did like this book however I do wish that there had been more about Natalie and Drake’s relationship. It felt like there was a bigger focus on waiting for Natalie to trust Drake and give in to her feelings. For me, their story skipped on too quickly so I didn’t feel invested in the relationship. Both characters were close to their families but neither character met or interacted with the other’s family members.

I liked Drake’s protective nature coupled with Natalie’s vulnerability from being hurt in the past. I also thought the musical references at the start of each chapter were clever given Natalie’s love for music and desire to join the symphony orchestra!

Overall this was an easy read but I wouldn’t necessarily class it as a Christmas read. Whilst set during Christmas, it didn’t give me those cosy festive vibes I would usually associate with a Christmas read.

A Christmas Cadence — Cynthia Brubaker
ARC Review (NetGalley)
Release Date: 19 Dec 2025

It’s been a while since I’ve picked up one of Cynthia’s books, and wow… two pages in and I immediately remembered why I adore her writing. It’s familiar in the best possible way — quick, witty, comforting. Like putting on Gilmore Girls for the 1000th time and knowing you’re about to have a great time.

And speaking of Gilmore Girls: PATTIE. Reincarnated as Drake’s sixty-year-old client. I cackled. Cynthia really said multiverse cameo and delivered. And we all know who Luke is ;) The whole vibe of this novella is inspired by Gilmore Girls and it’s so lovely.

The humor hits exactly where it should. My favourite line — “I don’t think I can feel my face.” — had me laughing out loud because absolutely yes, I know that feeling. The comedic timing throughout the novella is spot on.
I also loved the music-themed chapter headers. They’re playful but also oddly accurate previews of what the chapter is about to serve. Little touches like that make Cynthia’s writing feel so intentional and fun.

As for the story: short, sweet, spicy. Perfectly on-theme for Christmas. Drake is such a golden retriever MMC… except, let’s be honest, he’s actually a soft black panther and everyone knows it. The dynamic between him and the FMC is warm and charming in that signature Cynthia way.

Novellas are always tricky because the pacing has to move quickly, and there are some big leaps to tie everything together — but even so, this one still felt satisfying. Heartwarming, sexy, festive, and full of that Brubaker-specific charm.

A delightful holiday snack of a read. Perfect for curling up with a blanket, hot chocolate, and preferably a man who looks at you the way Drake looks at… well, anyone he’s smitten with.

Ending 2025 by reviewing this cute novella. This is the first book in the Big Cats of Ilex Creek series, and at 183 pages, it’s fast-paced and a delight to read. I finished it in a day.

Summary:

Natalie Gardenwood returns to Ilex Creek for her high school reunion, and the moment she sees Drake, she realizes her feelings for him haven’t changed; in fact, they’ve grown from a high school crush into something more mature. Drake seems to feel something for her too, even if he doesn’t quite understand why.

What starts as a one-night stand quickly turns into something far from ordinary when Drake loses control and marks Natalie as his mate. What follows is a cute story of Natalie trying to understand Drake’s shifter world and their bond, while Drake gives everything he has to support her and be with her.

Review:
This book is written in first person with dual POVs. Since this is a novella, the plot focuses primarily on the romance, with minimal world-building. Each chapter is aptly titled using a corresponding musical concept, and the two main characters used to play in the high school band. Natalie stays true to her character, though I did wish she would listen more to Drake’s explanations instead of rushing off. I understand the initial adrenaline, but I expected a more measured response from her later on. That said, Drake completely stole my heart with the devotion, patience, and maturity he shows as he waits for her.
The chemistry and spice are wonderfully done. The only thing that bugged me was that, at times, the writing didn’t flow as smoothly as I wanted—it occasionally felt like there was more that could have been said.

Recommendation: Anyone looking for a fast-paced, short introduction to the Romantasy genre will find this book a great place to start.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.

♥️♥️Thanks to NetGalley and Cynthia Brubaker for this advanced reader copy. All opinions are my own♥️♥️

Natalie returns to her hometown for a high school reunion, which leads her to reunite with her high school crush, Drake. a one-night stand with Drake leads to an accidental marking that made her life will never be same again.

"You did this to me, and you won't even help make it better?" Natalie's blunt tone is accusatory, a stark contrast to the moisture dripping down her cheeks.
"I'd love to, Kitten. God, I'd love to." My eyes stare down at her pleadingly. "But I can't. Not like this." I hesitate before finally stroking wet hair from her face. "I want you to come to me because you want to, not because you're scared. Not because you need relief."

I enjoyed this book, a feel-good holiday romance✨ it was a cute story and fun read! although the pace is fast, because this is a novella, but it doesn't make the story feel rushed, Natalie and Drake have liked each other since they were in high school and they both thought they didn't like each other back then. after a school reunion and an accidental marking, they finally got to know each other before accepting their future fate due to the accident. the interactions with each other felt well developed and natural, if you enjoy sweet and cozy romantasy books, you'll want to give this a try!✨

❤️ World Building: For being a novella, the world building was quite descriptive and lush. Though I found one aspect unbelievable - NO ONE sits outside when it's that cold!! 😀

❤️ The Characters: Drake was my favorite character in this book. He was sweet and understanding. Natalie was very believable as a MFC, her reactions aren’t overly dramatic, and she has the capacity to learn and grow. BUT I also just LOVED that the evil ex-boyfriend had the same name as my husband, we had a good laugh at that.

❤️ The Story: The story was sweet, and nostalgic. Though I can’t think of one person in my high school who I had a crush on, well, at least not in the high school I went to! The pacing was phenomenally paced as well. It was really a great read that put me in a better holiday mood.

❤️‍🔥Overall: If you’re looking for a short sweet small town romance, this is the perfect book for you!

🐈‍⬛Panther Fact Inspired by Drake: Panther is a term that refers to several species of big cats
These include leopards, jaguars, and cougars. In the Americas, the term panther is commonly used to refer to the black panther. Bonus Fact: Black panthers are not a separate species
Rather, they are a genetic variation of jaguars and leopards. Their black coloration is caused by a gene mutation that results in increased melanin production. (www.worldanimalprotection.us/)

I was gifted this book free for my honest opinion, you know the drill 😉

I don't usually care for Christmas stories, but I'll admit I really enjoyed this novella.

The small town vibes made everything really cosy, and both Drake and Natalie are at the same point as me in life where all your friends are starting to settle down, and comparison has your wondering (and maybe worrying) that you'll never find your person - so if you're at that point in life, you'll probably find this relatable! I enjoyed getting to peer into both of their minds, get an idea of their worries and their thought processes.

Drake is absolutely my favourite character in this. He's very much a Hallmark man in the sense that he's ready to find a wife and settle down, but I didn't find it overdone or cliché, and instead found it really endearing. Natalie's character was written really well, so the decisions she made throughout this story felt realistic and believable to me. In her shoes, I probably would have done the same things. (No spoilers here, you'll have to read!)

If you haven't read Cynthia's other novels, you may want to at minimum take a peek at OF HEARTS AND HUNTERS, because there's the occasional Easter egg for that duet littered throughout this one, which I love! I love when an author connects their novels in subtle ways.

Overall, really enjoyed this!

Gilmore Girls lovers who also like shape shifter romance will adore this novella.

She's had a crush on him since Highschool but at their reunion they hook up for a possible one night stand when the beast inside of him marks her as his mate.  Like what?!! Hehehe

The chemistry between these two makes this an enjoyable read. I wasn't sure if I'd like Natalie because of how angry and standoffish she was (which was understandable) but she comes around fairly quick and finds out what a gentleman Drake turns out to be. I loved the musical language that described the book chapters and the music playlist provided.

If you are looking for a cute little town and cosy atmosphere with a huge amount of spice this book is for you.

Perfect read for fast, oh so cosy Christmas read. I could honestly read this one in repeat!

Tropes:
Forced proximity, spice, touch her and ☠️, shifter x human, unrequited high school crush.

Check out the Content Warnings. I didn't find anything too dramatic here.

This book was a very quick read that starts at a high school reunion and ends post-holidays. It gave strong Christmas cozy vibes and did include some spice.

Natalie is single at her high school reunion and gets caught staring at her high school crush and fellow band-member. Drake is now a fitness instructor at his parent’s gym, having never left their home town whereas Natalie went her own path, trying to continue pursuing music. The sparks fly and they both have a very memorable reunion evening, made even more so by Drake biting Natalie while in the throes of passion. Natalie obviously gets the appropriate amount of freaked out and leaves Drake stuck in a tough spot.

Natalie soon has to come to grips with the fact that her body is going through some changes - in this case, marked mates are made physically ill being away from their mates. Since she is doing her best to not be around Drake, she needs to compromise her own boundaries to feel better physically. They still have chemistry, passion, and slowly but steadily build a romantic relationship and trust. We get a nice HEA after all their drama, too!

A Christmas Cadence is a sweet and spicy Christmas novella about a shifter who accidentally marks his old school bandmate. I liked the fact that chapters were named for musical terms and that they fit the vibe of the chapters. It was a nice reference to how they originally knew each other and to FMC Natalie's career as a musician. It meant that you got a sense of when things were going to get spicy or when things were going to go a bit wrong for the couple!

With the shorter length of a novella, and reading it over a short period of time, some of the repeated phrases stuck out, especially ones which are specific or unusual, like "supernatural holding cell", "bubble butt" (not really a thing in the UK where I am) or "pink flower" (I wasn't a fan of this term in particular so it stood out for sure). As I'm reading an ARC, some of those repeated phrases might be swapped out by the time it releases.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley but this is my voluntary and honest review.

This was my first time exploring the shifter genre, and I have to say, I am a fan! There is something about big cats and mate marks that brings out the feline romantic in us all.

The author did a great job of creating relatable and realistic characters, people with insecurities and discomfort when faced with an unexpected, lifelong commitment. The music references were a cute addition to the story, especially with how crucial of a role it played in the FMC’s life.

The accidental mate mark occurs early on in the story, and although we get plenty of symptoms and side effects when the bond is resisted, I was hoping to learn a bit more about the shifters within Ilex Creek and what sort of hierarchy they follow.

That being said, this was a fun paranormal novella that brought holiday cheer and a slew of quirky side characters. I’ve already requested a spinoff featuring the MMC’s parents, so fingers crossed that one comes to fruition 🤞

A Christmas Cadence is a spicy, small town, paranormal romance featuring Natalie Gardenwood and Drake Emery.

Natalie lives in Waterloo and works at The Fermata, an indie music shop. Her music roots started back in high school where she played clarinet in the band. When she shows up at the Ilex Creek 12th High School reunion, she is excited to reconnect with some of her old friends. There she sees her high school crush, Drake. He too was in the band and played the trumpet. Drake never left Ilex Creek and he now works as a personal trainer at his parents' gym, The Black Panther.

While there was nothing between Natalie and Drake in high school, the two reconnect and share a trip down memory lane in their old band class. There are definite sparks between them, and they end up leaving together. During a very passionate night, Drake accidentally marks Natalie and then has to reveal his secret - he's a black panther shifter.

Natalie, witnessing Drake start to shift, understandably freaks out and flees, but she needs to learn the truth about their new connection and what that means for them and their future.

Drake and Natalie have some sizzling chemistry. I loved how Drake was respectful of her, and her need for space, while still showing up for her. He also clearly adored her and did everything he could to lift her up and help fight her own self-confidence challenges. I enjoyed how the author wrote and developed their connection. Even though this was a shorter book, it didn't feel rushed. I did however want more and I hope that Brubaker considers other relationships within this shifter world she created.

I also want to express my appreciation not only for the book title but the chapter headings as well. Each one has a musical title which reflects the tone of the chapter. While something small, it was absolutely brilliant.

I'm a fan of Brubaker's writing and she did not disappoint with this novella. I hope you take the time to check it out.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced digital copy of A Christmas Cadence. This is my honest review. *Mild spoilers ahead

A Christmas Cadence had a fun premise, but unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. The writing often felt repetitive and lacked imagination. At times, the writing quality came across as juvenile or low quality. The intimate scenes didn’t flow naturally, and I was particularly uncomfortable with one instance where the male lead chokes the female main character without consent.

The pet name “Kitten” was introduced far too early and overused, and the male lead’s personality felt inconsistent throughout. As a feminist reader, I was frustrated by the book’s heavy emphasis on marriage and having babies. The FMC’s low self-esteem and the fact that she only finds employment with the MMC’s help were disappointing character choices.

Overall, I think this story could benefit from substantial editing before publication, but I fear it may be too late for that.

A Christmas Cadence is a clever story that uses musical terms for the chapter headings. These provide some description for the upcoming storyline, and underline the career of main character, Natalie. Mixed in with the music and high school band connections, there is a paranormal element with shifters being fairly common in this small town.
Natalie’s relationship with Drake, her old high school crush, is spicy and ultimately satisfying. My favorite character may be the older woman who trains with Drake in his gym—would love to see more of her in this story.
There are a few Christmas elements in the story, some Christmas shopping and a Christmas Fair. I always want the holidays to be very prominent and could have used a bit more festive description and situations.
Still, it was a cute and fun start to this year’s holiday reading.

A Christmas romance but make it paranormal and include a panther shifter 🎅

We had the pleasure of reading @cb.novelist latest - A Christmas Cadence. This is a sweet small town Christmas novella with a supernatural twist. Our FMC Natalie gets more than what she bargained for when returning home during the festive season. Crossing paths with her high school crush and MMC Drake during a school reunion leads to a night she will never forget.... In more ways than one.

We appreciated:

🎅 The plus size and over 30s representation, which was done in a genuine snd respectful manner. A breath of fresh air to all the thin 20 year olds flooding the genre.

🎅 The idea of second chances, turning a new leaf, its never too late. That you can pursue your dreams and live the life you've always wanted.

🎅 The music structure of the narrative and references. As a musician this was not lost on us and we appreciated how the narrative was set up and played out.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

First off I’d like to thank Netgalley, the publishers, and the author for the opportunity to read this book early!

I love a good holiday romance, and throw in a romance and this book sounded like a perfect Christmas time read. And if you’re looking for something that is a quick read, full of insta-love and spice with a paranormal shifter twist then this book will be right up your alley! Unfortunately for me this read just fell a little flat, I had a hard time connecting with either main character, and the romance felt very rushed to me personally, I felt like there wasn’t really any chemistry between our two main characters outside of the spicy scenes between them. Also while I enjoyed the premise behind the story, the writing overall felt a bit-stop and go and even repetitive at times. Overall I do believe the story was good just not one for me.

How would you react if your long-time crush turned out to be a shifter?

Natalie finds herself thrown into that exact situation in A Christmas Cadence, and her journey is equal parts frightful, hilarious, tender, and—yes—very hot and steamy. “Oh, Kitten. You don’t have to beg for me..”

Natalie and Drake’s relationship was truly precious. Drake especially stole the show for me—his personality shines through every scene he’s in. His reactions to Natalie’s fears, curiosity, and nerves brought out both laugh-out-loud charm and moments that hit right in the feels.

My only wish… a little less rush at the end. But overall? This was such a cute, warm, and heartfelt holiday read. If you're looking for something festive with a mix of supernatural fun, swoony romance, and a dash of spice, I’d definitely point you toward this one.
