You've Got Alien Mail #3

Return to Sender

Rate this book
I stowed away in the wrong courier's cargo pod—and accidentally married him. Hiding in a sealed diplomatic pod seemed like the perfect escape from my arranged marriage. Then the uptight Gluxian courier opened it, an ancient bonding law triggered, and suddenly I'm legally bound to Captain Stick-Up-His-Protocols. Wi'kar should turn me in. His precious regulations demand it. Instead, he's breaking every rule to keep me safe from royal guards, bounty hunters, and my psychotic ex-fiancé who wants me back in chains.

He's all rigid discipline and perfect control—until I push his buttons. His bioluminescence flares every time I get close, betraying exactly what he's suppressing. He hates my chaos. He hates that I fixed his engine. And he really hates how his protocols shatter when I strip down in his medical bay. But when I take a neural disruptor blast to save him, something in him breaks. He faces down my ex-fiancé, and growls three words that change "She is mine."

WI' The stowaway princess was a catastrophic breach of protocol. I should have returned her immediately. Filed the proper reports. Maintained professional boundaries. Instead, Princess Dominique is sleeping in my quarters, breaking my systems, and making me want things I've suppressed my entire life. She's feral, brilliant, and completely unsuitable for a diplomatic courier who has built his existence on order.

Then she saves my life. Takes an energy blast meant for my back without hesitation. Every regulation I've ever followed becomes irrelevant. She thinks I'm just following the bonding law. She doesn't realize that when she looked at me like I was worth defying the galaxy for, she sealed both our fates. I will protect her. I will claim her. And when I face her royal pursuer, I will make him she is not cargo. She is mine. And I will burn every protocol to keep her.

Return to Sender is a high-heat alien romance featuring a rigid courier who breaks every rule and the feral princess who crashes into his life—and makes his bioluminescence betray him.

This is book three of this series and our characters, are Dominque and Wi'kar. Domique flees a nasty X, whom she was supposed to be, an arranged marriage. Hiding on Wi'kar's ship and despite finding herself effectively bonded to him, starts to re organize his life. :) Sadly, the X wants her back, so their adventure begins as they face that issue and coming together despite it all.

Return To Sender is the third book and the you’ve got mail space romance series by Lara Roth, Wicker has a very important job with the mail service OOPS, that he takes very seriously and has for 15 years. His deliveries stops wars, forms diplomacies and so much more. He is very tasitern, a clean freak, and likes everything in its place and every rule followed to a T. so when he finds princess Dominique stole away on his ship he doesn’t know what to do he wants to follow the rules so why is it he is blowing caution to the wind and everything in him wants to let go and just love and protect the princess. To make matters worse her ex fiancé Dante is hot on their trail but even in the next of being sprayed with energy tasers their legal bond becomes an emotional one with lots of lol moments along the way. I love these books so very much when I have one in my library it takes everything in me not to read it until it’s time I don’t know what it is about humans falling in love with aliens that just gets me the weather it is a woman and a man a man and a man or a man and a female alien I am always so down to read it love these books especially the ones written by this author if alien romance is something that floats your boat or your spaceship then definitely read Return To Sender you will not be disappointed.#BookSprout, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #LaraRoth,

Mail that arrives exactly when you need it.
An interesting sci-fi romance, leaning more heavily on wordy scene & character setting. It does help to differentiate the alien MC from previous books; however, I personally became less enthusiastic with the lengthy sentence structures. It was nice to see / hear more from Mother, and AXIS is hilarious. The action is good with an original premise. This has been a good series so far. Each book can be read as a standalone though some parts would be easier with reading previous books.

If The Princess Bride crash-landed into a sci-fi galaxy with a dash of alien heat and a whole lot of heart, you’d get Return to Sender by Lara Roth. This book is wild, witty, and surprisingly tender — a romantic space adventure where freedom, fate, and pheromones collide.

Princess Dominique isn’t your typical royal — she’s had enough of gilded cages and political marriages. Her escape plan? Hide in a galactic postal pod and hope for the best. What she doesn’t plan for is Wi’kar — the rule-following, perfectly polished alien courier whose life runs on structure, silence, and star charts. When ancient laws mistakenly bind them as consorts, Dominique’s rebellion turns into a chase across the galaxy, complete with bounty hunters, cosmic near-misses, and enough tension to light up a starship.

Dominique is chaos wrapped in courage — impulsive, funny, and impossible not to love. Wi’kar, on the other hand, is her perfect opposite — until the cracks start to show. His restraint falters every time she challenges him, every time she laughs, every time her scent scrambles his logic. Watching these two opposites orbit closer, fight their attraction, and then finally choose each other feels like the most satisfying slow burn in space.

Lara Roth has a gift for world-building that feels cinematic — alien cultures, witty AI banter (AXIS deserves their own novella), and just enough danger to keep your pulse racing. But what really shines here is the emotional core: a story about two people learning that love isn’t about control or destiny, but choice — even when the universe itself seems to have other plans.

Return to Sender is equal parts sci-fi romp and heart-twisting romance — packed with humor, tension, and just the right amount of steam. It’s about freedom, finding home in the most unexpected places, and realizing that sometimes love doesn’t arrive when you call for it — it just shows up, demanding to be signed for.

✨ Perfect for readers who love:
🚀 Grumpy/sunshine in outer space
👑 Royal rebels and rule-abiding aliens
💌 Forced proximity + accidental marriage tropes
🔥 “Mine” moments that send your heart into orbit
😂 Snarky banter and cosmic chaos.

Gleeful Goblin Review: It's so inconvenient when you, a human princess, are in the middle of yelling at the alien whose ship you just woke up on and in one grip of a uniform you find yourself suddenly married due to the Consular Bonding Clause and an AI is asking you if it should start writing an announcement based on templates for ‘Surprise Romantic Union’ or ‘Diplomatic Marriage of Convenience.’ But if you're not married to this stuffy, overly literal, officious alien then the other choice is a real jerk of a human prince who doesn't understand "No." All in the name of peace and politics.

But what if the alien you find yourself bonded to is honorable, protective, and even....kind? What if you start to fall for him? This was a super fun, fast paced, space adventure with two strong willed, stubborn, and smart beings who refuse to lose. 5/5 Stars

This book was a good read. It was quick and enjoyable. The only issue I had is that every now and again I would read one sentence only for it to be repeated just a bit later again with maybe one or two different words. As such, this made certain bits and pieces feel rather repetitive but overall a great read.

I enjoyed the FMC: Dominique and MMC: Wi’kar’s relationship and how it blossomed from being accidentally being stuck together over an old law to actually wanting to be together. After all I’m always a sucker for a good HEA and I’m glad I got it. I liked the FMC’s character and how quick she was to call the MMC on his stuff and I thought it was interesting how his species gives off emotions and such and how the FMC could read it. It was definitely different from other alien romance tropes I read which made it all the more fun to read.

Wi'kar is an OOPS courier who is always in optimal. Has a mission with an unexpected stowaway Princess Dominique who is pure fire and chaos to his controlled environment.
This story is absolutely divine, full of suspense, danger not only from their pursuers but also to his controlled Alien desires and romantic side. I really enjoyed how Dominique challenged Wi'kar. And how their union complimented each other. And Mother's assignments creating perfect operational framework for their continued partnership development and relationship enhancement.
Truly brilliant story line. And a wonderful journey of their relationship evolving and growing and falling deeply in love. Most excellent HEA. 💜💜💜💜
Lara you are amazing. I highly recommend this book and this series.

This was another entertaining and engaging addition to the series. The author continues to lay out the world building with fab detail and her characters are well developed and interesting. Dominque has fled her nasty ex, whom she was in an arranged marriage with, only to find herself as a stowaway on Wi'kar's ship. He's had a perfect record for pretty much everything so a stowaway really messes with that... When he starts making arrangements to accommodate her in his life, she gets shocked finding that she's now bonded to Wi'kar ;D Of course, her ex wants her back so we've got drama, danger, action, humour and steamy romance flowing through this one. I was definitely glued to my reader following these two along to their HEA. Good fun!

On the run with steamy love!

Wi’kar is an Orion Outpost Postal Service (OOPS) courier with a perfect record. His diplomatic mission becomes a shambles when his AI detects an organic being inside the cargo instead of Treaty documents. Princess Dominique is on the run from her arranged marriage and, by ancient law, she and Wi’kar are now legally bonded consorts. He should turn her in, but his duty is to protect her. Her feral chaos disrupts his perfectly ordered life, but he can’t give her up to the bounty hunters pursuing them.

What a fun alien romance! There is danger, drama, and steamy love. I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.

Quite Clever Alien Romance!!

Wi’kar is ordered, controlled, and follows the rules precisely. Dominique is running from an arranged marriage and stows away on Wi’kar’s ship. Chaos ensues. She pushes his buttons, he tries valiantly to maintain control and follow rules. A smug AI, AXIS, adds to the hilarity and you have a fully satisfying and high chemistry read. This entire series is a delight. The play on words is especially entertaining.

This was a very enjoyable story that's about Princess Dominique who stows away on Wi'kar's ship while fleeing her ex-fiancé who wants her back. Wi'kar a Gluxian is an OOPS courier. His ship's systems notify that a life sign is in the cargo pod seven and he finds Dominigue a stowaway. They find themselves a bonded couple through an archaic law. What occurs as she modifies his ship and his life is an entertaining story. I loved our characters, their chemistry sizzled and their banter was engaging in this copy I'd volunteer to read and review.

“Return to Sender” by Lara Roth

-This story blends humor, action, and a unique alien-human dynamic. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

A quirky sci-fi romance featuring Wi’kar and Dominique navigating the chaotic OOPS world. Lengthy sentences slow the pace at times, but the characters and interactions shine.

Fans of the series will enjoy this fun, chaotic, and heartwarming adventure.
