It has been eight hundred years since the Great Drought began. Legend has it that the Jadans angered the World Crier, who took Cold away as a punishment—reducing the land to a scorching desert.
The Khat, who still had access to Cold, allowed the Jadans to live as slaves.
Yet a prophecy of freedom and forgiveness was whispered through the ages. That prophecy has, seemingly, come to pass.
Micah, Shilah, and Cam now have an invention in their possession that could potentially restore balance and expose ancient, deep-seated lies. The ruling class of Nobles, however, will stop at nothing to make sure this invention gets buried in the sands, right beside its creators.
A tale of courage and healing, of broken hearts and the cost of success, COLDMYTH roars to an epic conclusion you’ll have to see to believe.
Daniel A. Cohen is the author of DRAGONDAO, THE COLDMAKER SAGA, and numerous other novels and short stories. In addition to his writing career, Daniel is a professional saxophonist in Austin, Texas, spending his days in front of the page and his nights in front of crowds. Sometimes the crowds cheer, and Daniel often wishes the page would do the same.
My first impression of the ending of this fantastic trilogy was admittedly a little lackluster. However, I thought more about it and realised it's actually the perfect ending. This story could not have ended any other way and I applaud Cohen for guiding the story to such a brilliantly written conclusion that pervades surface appearances and really makes one think.
