Four damned souls, two impossible bargains, and a romance powerful enough to topple the realms.
Mercedes Midnight should be dead.
Her year is up, her debt is owed, yet here she stands — alive, cursed, and crackling with demon magic she has no idea how to wield.
Lucy Corvine, the devil’s broken daughter, clawed her way out of a contract that was never supposed to break. Now she’s something the underworld doesn’t have a name for. Something her father will tear the realm apart to find.
When two angels crash into Ora City, the rules change overnight.
One wants to watch the realms burn. One wants to save them. No one is safe.
Reunited and running, Midnight and Lucy strike a new bargain: trust each other, no matter what crawls out of the dark. But trust is a brittle little thing. And every kiss in candlelit libraries hides a betrayal that could damn them both all over again.
There’s only one truth left… someone is lying.
Find out who — before they lose their city, their world, and their hearts.
Three realms. Two damned hearts. One final reaping.
This is the second (and final) book in a dark and very steamy lesbian demon romance featuring masc daddies, soul-reaping bargains, fallen angels, dark academia vibes, gothic battles, found family, morally grey heroines, betrayal, sapphic obsession, and a love that levels cities. 18+ readers only.
Ruby Roe writes lesbian fantasy romance. She loves a bit of magic with her smut and will read anything as long as the characters get down and dirty. When she isn’t writing, she’s beasting herself at the gym or wandering the world on her next adventure. She lives in England with her wife, son, and two devious Ragdoll cats.
Ruby Roe does the impossible with every one of her books. She took everything I loved about Architecti and tore it wide open. She gave us a finale that is bigger, darker, more emotional, and every bit as impossible to put down. Interitus doesn't just conclude the story—it rips it to pieces and stitches it back together in a conclusion that hurts, heals, and absolutely refuses to let go.
Picking up exactly where the first book leaves off, Interitus throws you right back into the chaos, hitting the ground at an all-out sprint. Expanding its dark, gothic world through Ora, the Underworld, the Celestial City, we unearth the heartbreaking angel lore across centuries of history adding even more depth to an already incredible world.
Midnight and Lucy's chemistry is just as electric as it was in Architecti, but now it's forged in trust (and distrust), sacrifice, and unwavering devotion that made every emotional sear burn even hotter. Watching these two continuously claw their way back to each other while the world and every demon in it tried to tear them apart completely re-consumed me. Both the parallels and contrasts between the titular angels against Lucy and Midnight are beautifully displayed. We see those willing to do anything to destroy the other versus those willing to sacrifice everything to save the other. Every moment and impossible choice created a romance that is just as epic as it is intimate.
Roe cements another brick in her worlds of ever-fortifying notion of found and chosen family over blood and obligations. The supporting cast remains just as layered and compelling as before; each one adding depth, tension, and emotional weight to a world that feels just as alive outside the main characters. The new romance story was such a wonderful addition. It fit seamlessly into the story while reinforcing everything this duology preaches about love, loyalty, and belonging.
And, if you've read Ruby Roe before, you already know she sets the bar for spice incredibly high, and manages to shatter it once again. Bold, steamy, and always emotionally driven, every intimate moment deepens the connection between the characters and raises the stakes of everything happening around them. The result is a romance (or two...) that never overshadows the plot, but it deepens it, unraveling new layers of trust, vulnerability, and devotion while raising the emotional stakes higher than ever.
Interitus doesn't just conclude this story, it transforms it. Every thread throughout Architecti weaves together and delivers a finale filled with impossible choices, breathtaking devotion, and emotional payoffs. We are left with a conclusion that is epic, haunting, fiercely romantic, and deeply satisfying. By the end, I still wasn't ready to go home.
Favorite Quotes: "Destroying our system and starting again is the only way to make a new world. You cannot build perfection on broken foundations."
"I want my life filled with her smile and her laugh, and more than anything, her love."
"There's only one future I see, and she is in every memory I haven't made yet."
"I will love you in all the futures, fates, and forevers. No matter what happens, I will always be yours. Always."
"I tried so hard to be good..."
"My last truth is that all these years I kept sacrificing myself for others. For love and worthy causes. But the thing is I never once believed I was worth saving too."
"I found my twin flame, my everlasting, my missing piece. I'm not lonely anymore. And that, my friend, will always be divine."
After that absolutely brutal cliffhanger in book one, I needed this book immediately. And honestly? It brought me right back to everything I loved about the first one and gave me the ending this duology deserved.
I loved getting more history and lore around Architecti and Interitus. The deeper dive into the world made me even more obsessed with it, and I ate up every new piece of information.
Midnight and Lucy still have my whole heart. I was so invested in them from start to finish, and the chemistry between them was just as good as ever. Plus, the spice we’ve come to expect from Ruby Roe was absolutely there and definitely delivered. 🔥
The little crossover moments and seeing some familiar faces from other series had me grinning like an idiot. I love when authors reward readers like that.
Such a fun, emotional, action-packed conclusion. I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters fully, but looks like I’ll still get them in the new series ❤️✨📚

Man, let me tell you! I was not ready for how thrilling and edgy this book was!
Interitus and Architecti were excellent characters. I couldn't tell if I wanted to hate them or help them fight for their causes.
And of course, Lucy and Midnight have literally been to hell and back. Their passion and protectiveness of each other even through the worst times of their lives is what kept me turning the pages rapidly. Curious, needing more. The twists and turns. I loved it! Also, the spice level of this book was off the freakin charts!! I was reading it at work and had to look around and wonder if people could tell that I was reading something naughty!
Last but not least! Mortem the best dead cat with the best one liners!
This is going to be my first review before I reread because, as soon as I finished the book, I wanted to start it all over again!!! That's how good this book is. The plot twists, the loss, the hopelessness, and the love were delightful. Ruby Roe is one of my favorite authors, and even though I will forever be a fan of Immortal Lovers, Deals of Dark Desire is on a whole other level. All the mythology, history, and the way the characters evolve throughout the series are pretty amazing.
Sweet Sapphos Sweaty Toga - I need a minute. babes. JFC. I'm unwell. I need a drink. review to come. Okkkkaaayyyyyyyy, Babes. BABES. We made it. Book two is HERE and Ruby Roe has absolutely, completely, irrevocably destroyed me.... I mean that with my whole entire heart.
Interitus is everything a series finale should be and then some. Ruby doesn't just stick the landing, i'm telling you she launches off it, sets it on fire, and somehow makes you grateful for every single second of the devastation. This is the epic conclusion this duet deserved, and it cements Ruby Roe as the undisputed queen of lesbian dark romantasy. Full stop. No arguments. Sit down.
Where do I even begin? The worldbuilding WHICH WAS ALREADDDYYYY lush and shadowy and absolutely unhinged in the best way, reaches new heights here. Three realms. Angels tearing into Ora City. The devil himself hunting his own daughter (what a tool, for real though). The stakes in this book are not playing around, and Roe handles every layer of it with a precision and care of a literary surgeon that honestly made me emotional just thinking about the craft of it. Every thread from Book 1 gets picked up. Every question gets answered. Every wound gets pressed on. (I know how this sounds but seriously, trust me here) And the characters. Oh, Midnight. Oh, Lucy. These two absolutely wrecked women finding their way back to each other while the world tries to rip them apart. Babes, I was in TEARS. Then laughing. Then sweating. Then back to tears. The emotional whiplash was immaculate, and I would not change a single thing. For some reason, romantasy tears are just different. Talk to Ruby about it because she's collecting reader tears and snorting them to pump out her next book. Saucy little minx that she is. Now, babes, if you've been with me for a while, you know the found family element gets me and the found family in this book? I love them with a ferocity I cannot begin to explain. Roe builds a world where the people who choose each other matter just as much as the ones born into obligation, and it shows on every page. The steam. I meeean.... you already know. Ruby Roe does not miss. Ever. EVER. Every single scene serves the story, deepens the intimacy, and reminds you exactly why this romance has been worth every ounce of suffering. Candlelit libraries. Moral greyness. Two women who should not trust each other and cannot stop anyway. It's a gift. She's a gift. The plot twists? Going in with zero spoilers from me, just know you will not see them coming, and you will leave this book a changed person. Brain chemistry: permanently altered. That's not a warning, that's a promise. I love lesbian romance. I love what Ruby Roe gives to this community: the representation, the darkness, the tenderness underneath it all, the absolute refusal to make queer love anything less than epic and worthy of every page. Sapphics everywhere deserve this duet on their shelves. Read Architecti. Then immediately read this. Then find a corner and sit in your feelings for a while. I'll be there too. Thank you to Ruby Roe for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’m still not entirely sure I have recovered from this book.
Interitus picks up right where Architecti left us, and honestly, what a ride. This book takes everything from the first instalment and turns it up. The stakes, the magic, the obsession, the danger, the emotional damage. All of it.
Mercedes is alive when she really should not be. Her year is over, her debt should have been claimed, and instead she is left changed, cursed, and carrying demon magic she does not fully understand. Lucy has also become something entirely new after breaking free from a contract that was never meant to be escaped. Watching both of them try to survive the consequences of what happened in book one was intense in the best way.
The lengths Lucy and Midnight will go to for each other are honestly beyond reason, but that is exactly what made their dynamic so addictive. Their love feels intense, reckless, desperate, and completely consuming. There is something so deliciously unhinged about the two of them together, and I ate it up.
The world building in this book is incredible. Ora City feels rich, dark, and full of moving pieces. I loved the magical world, the underworld politics, the sense that every choice has consequences, and yes, I absolutely appreciated the map because there were moments where I needed it. There is so much happening, but it all adds to the feeling that this world is bigger, stranger, and more dangerous than we first realised.
And that plot twist? I did not see it coming. At all. I had to sit there for a second and mentally pick my jaw up from the floor.
The arrival of both angels adds even more chaos, and I loved how they disrupted the balance of everything. Two sides of the same coin, both bringing their own kind of trouble, and suddenly the story opens up in a way that made me even more desperate to see where this series is going.
The spice takes a little while to fully kick in because the beginning is very much dealing with the aftermath of book one, but once it does… phew. Ruby Roe knows exactly what she is doing. It is intense, emotional, filthy, and tied so deeply to the connection between Lucy and Midnight that it never feels separate from the story.
Also, Mortem? I did not expect to be laughing because of that cat after nearly tearing up from everything happening on page, but here we are. The balance between devastation, chaos, humour, and heat worked so well.
Ruby Roe has done it again, and I am absolutely not normal about this series. ⭐ 5 | 🌶️ 5
I don’t even know where to begin because Interitus completely consumed me. Thank you so much to Ruby Roe for the opportunity to read this ARC. Somehow this book was even better than the first, and I honestly didn’t think that was possible.
The world-building is breathtaking. Every page pulled me deeper into this beautifully crafted world, and I never wanted to leave it. Everything felt so vivid and immersive that I wasn’t just reading the story—I was living it alongside the characters.
Midnight and Lucy absolutely own my heart. The love between them is fierce, unwavering, and so deeply emotional that I felt every moment right alongside them. Their connection is beautiful, heartbreaking, hopeful, and utterly unforgettable. I found myself smiling, holding my breath, and fighting back tears because I was so invested in their journey.
The pacing was phenomenal. There wasn’t a single dull moment, and every chapter ended with me promising myself, “Just one more.” Before I knew it, I’d finished the entire book. I devoured Interitus even faster than book one because I simply couldn’t put it down.
One of my favourite things about Ruby Roe’s books is how everything is interconnected. Seeing familiar faces from previous series always feels like coming home, and I love catching up with characters I’ve already fallen in love with. It makes the world feel so rich, alive, and rewarding for longtime readers.
As much as I’m heartbroken that Midnight and Lucy’s story is only a duology, I think it was the perfect length for their journey. Saying goodbye is bittersweet, but I’m so excited to see where Ruby takes us next. If the upcoming series is anything like this one, I already know it’s going to be incredible.
This is one of those rare books that stays with you long after you’ve turned the final page. It’s thrilling, emotional, beautifully written, and completely unforgettable.
Ruby Roe has absolutely outdone herself. An easy five stars—and one of my favourite reads of the year. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
For demons sake, what an absolute rollercoaster!! After the epic cliffhanger in Architecti, this jumps right back into the action, with very little respite to catch your breath. And I loved. Every. Minute. The entire book is incredible, but around 50% onwards really shined for me and absolutely just kept ramping up! No idea what to do with myself now it’s over! Well, considering I dropped everything to immediately start reading this, I suppose I should continue my previous reads, but I am NOT ready to move on. This is as much about Architecti and Interitus as it is about Midnight and Lucy, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing more of the history between them, especially what happened with Gallera. How everything ties together is excellently executed. I experienced the full range of emotions, I even got goosebumps, shivers, and tears in places. Ignatius truely excels in being a complete ‘C U Next Tuesday’, and MY GOD the Mirror of Fate realisation. All of it is gold!
Plot Summary: It follows straight on from the end of Architecti so go read that now if you haven’t already! Angels, demons, betrayal and loss. Souls to save, three realms to hold together as the fabric tears apart, and truths to be uncovered.. Can Midnight save Lucy as well as herself? You’ll have to find out *evil laugh*
Things I Loved: - MORTEM! Sarky undead cat - Hating Ignatius - Gellara - Shadow/magic play - One word on a piece of paper - The cameos - The reinforcements - Mirror of Fate realisation - The final reaping.. - Horn shaped bruises…
Overall, an excellently executed ending and a hell of a journey along the way. If you like sibling rivalry that could literally destroy the fabric of the universe and reshape fate, a sassy undead cat sidekick, angels and demons, and toe curling spice, then this is for you!

After giving Architecti 5 stars, I went into Interitus fully expecting it to earn the same rating. But if I'm being honest, around the halfway mark, I was starting to settle on 4.5 stars. I was enjoying it, of course, but it wasn't quite hitting me the way Architecti did.
And then Ruby Roe did what Ruby Roe does best.
As the story unfolded and all the pieces started falling into place, Interitus completely exceeded my expectations. Every reveal, every connection, every emotional payoff landed exactly where it needed to, and by the end, I was reminded why I fell in love with this series in the first place. Ruby Roe has completely won me over all over again, and yes, I've already pre-ordered her upcoming release because apparently I have no choice but to consume everything she writes.
What really won me over was the appearance of characters from Ruby Roe's previous books. The way she tied everything together was honestly perfect. Every time a familiar face showed up, I was losing my mind. It added so much to the story and made me love this world even more.
Would I still sell my soul for these characters? (No pun intended 😂) Yes. Yes, I would. I genuinely didn't think it was possible to love them more than I already did, yet somehow Ruby Roe proved me wrong.
And to my fellow sapphic readers: if this series isn't already on your radar, consider this your sign to fix that immediately. Prioritise it. Move it to the top of your TBR. Trust me.
This series continues to deliver unforgettable characters, emotional devastation, and some of the most rewarding payoffs I've read in a long time. Interitus reminded me why I love reading in the first place, and by the final page, I wasn't ready to let go. Now I'm just counting down the days until I can return to this world again.
This book had me in a an absolute chokehold from the beginning and had me cycling through emotions so quickly that I almost experienced whiplash!
Interitus picks up right where Arcitecti left off and doesn’t let up… ever! Honestly the book is action packed in every sense of the word 😏. With Interitus Ruby manages to achieve something no other author has made me experience, the hatred towards a character I previously liked. For the entire first half of this book I wanted to punch Midnight and yeet her into the void, bitch, Lucy did not deserve your betrayal. And we should protect Lucy at all costs.
The world building and magic systems in this duology are immaculate, Ora City feels like a living breathing entity and as stated in my review of Architecti Ruby knows how to provide unique magic systems that draw you into her worlds. Everything about this books is astounding, the darkness, the found family elements, the side characters, that plot twist that I didn’t see coming and who can forget that loveable ghost cat. Also we are no longer on speaking terms for chapters 31, 42 & 43, my heart is broken!
And I know everyone runs to these books expecting one thing, the spice. Let me tell you Ruby delivers each and every time. In Interitus it takes a little longer for the spicier elements to truly kick in, because of the aftermath of Architecti. But let me tell you that the spice is spicing and Ruby continues with her day job of making sapphics sweat! *chefs kiss*
Do yourself a favour read Architecti and then delve straight into Interitius, then give yourself 3-5 business day to recover!

📖 AT A GLANCE STARS 5 stars ✨ SPICE Very Spicy 🥵 It's Ruby Roe expect no less CHEMISTRY Excellent ANGST High Angst SLOW BURN No CLIFFHANGER No CHARACTERS Midnight and Lucy
🖤 MY READING EXPERIENCE I am always blown away by Ruby's work. She has a gift for taking countless moving pieces and weaving them into something unforgettable. The action, the world-building, the heartbreak, the hope...every piece serves a purpose. I fell completely into this story and held on for dear life from beginning to end. It wrecked me in all the best way and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
💭 CHARACTER THOUGHTS Lucy and Midnight. I don't know if I even have the words for them. The lengths they will go to for each other are beyond reason. Fierce, all-consuming, and breathtaking. These are the kinds of characters I love most: the ones who would die for you just as easily as they would kill for you. I was completely obsessed.
🔥 MOMENTS I’M STILL THINKING ABOUT I can't say much without spoiling anything, but this book is packed with twists, turns, and emotional gut punches. One sacrifice in particular absolutely shattered me. It stretched my heart to its limit and reminded me just how deep their love runs.
⚠️ ONE SMALL NOTE This book is incredible. Read Architecti now so you're ready for Interitus when it releases later this month. Trust me you'll want to be caught up.
📚 READ THIS IF YOU LOVE… Sapphic romantasy, high-stakes battles, devastating emotional moments, spicy romance, found family, and characters willing to risk everything for love.
Ruby Roe said take everything everyone loves about Architecti and raise the stakes.
My attention was caught in the very first chapters with a little reveal and twists further in that I genuinely didn’t see coming 👀 Just when I thought I had everything figured out.. NOOOOOPE.
The ending fucked me up all over again, that tension was murder. 😅 If I was on a chair right now I’d be on the edge.
The characters are pushed harder than ever, old wounds are reopened and yes, the daddy issues are still very much present.
Navigating grief, loyalty, love, and impossible choices. That’s just me after reading Interitus. 🫠
There were moments that completely broke my heart, moments that had me staring at the page in shock with tears rolling down my cheeks and sometimes wishing I closed my eyes past and skipped forward so they didn’t happen. Moments that reminded me exactly why I became invested in these characters in the first place. 🥲
The romance remains a poignant part of the story. No matter how dark things become, love continues to shine through and every moment feels rightfully earned 🥵
And yes, there’s a strap. 😏
Emotional rollercoaster is an understatement. We’re talkng twists, yes there’s more than one bitches. Heartbreak, healing, and enobugh tension to keep me reading to the very end ✨
Thank you @sachablackauthor and team for the absolute honour to eARC in return for an honest review! 🩸🫶🏼
Interitus is out on the 30th! Not long now so don’t forget to preorder to get extra Ruby Roe goodies! ✨
The conclusion to the Deals of Dark Desires duology and holy moly (not my initial words but Goodreads doesn’t allow swearing!) this is fantastic, an absolute blooming masterpiece!
Picking up exactly where we left off in Architecti, we’re plunged straight into the absolute visceral and raw emotions. No breaks, no lead ups, no warm up. Not even a gentle lubing. The narrative POV shifts between Lucy, Midnight and Architecti, (as in the first) building such an all-encompassing view of the storyline that it’s impossible to not feel part of it all.
Talking about this is hard as I pride myself on no spoiler reviews. I don’t think I’m giving too much away by saying that the rage f***ing, the yearning, the contracts, Angels doing whatever the hell they please, the violence, the carnage and outright lust is obscene. And all of it absolutely mind-bending, toe curlingly glorious.
I’m already devastated I can’t experience it for the first time again!! Roe had me raging, scared, near sobbing (I know she feeds off reader tears so I hope she enjoyed these!) and seething. Yet god damn it, I’d experience it all over again like the masochist I apparently am!!
Buckle up, set aside some time, (nothing else will get done, life will fade away, people will talk to you and you will hear nothing but noise!) and find somewhere comfortable because this conclusion is beyond epic. This conclusion blows all of her other works (also masterpieces) out of the water. When I tell you to read this series, your only answer better be ‘Yes Daddy!’
I genuinely don’t know how Ruby Roe keeps doing this, but somehow every book gets even better. Interitus might actually be my favorite she’s written yet (which I swear I say every time… and yet here we are). This book had me stressed, giggling, kicking my feet, clutching my phone, and questioning whether I was ever going to sleep because there was absolutely no chance I was putting it down.
The romance? Painful in all the best ways. The chemistry? Off. The. Charts. I was simultaneously swooning and internally screaming the entire time. But what I love most is that the romance never overshadows the story. The plot is just as gripping, the stakes feel incredibly real, and watching the world and magic continue to expand was so satisfying. Every relationship feels earned, every impossible choice hurts, and the found family dynamics just made me love these characters even more.
And can we talk about Ruby Roe’s ability to make me emotionally attached to fictional people? Because rude.
As for the spice… let’s just say keep a glass of water nearby. The tension is chef’s kiss, the payoff is absolutely worth it, and the spicy scenes never feel like they’re there just for the sake of it. They’re emotional, meaningful, and somehow manage to make you fall even harder for the characters.
If you love dark sapphic romantasy with angst, found family, morally gray characters, incredible chemistry, high emotional stakes, and spice that actually serves the story, do yourself a favor and pick this up. Honestly… don’t sleep on any of Ruby Roe’s books.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Can't say it enough, I LOVED this sequel!! It simultaneously lured me in and shredded my heart to pieces on repeat. I don't know how she does it, but every story is a masterpiece that makes you fall in love again.
Ruby Roe dives head first into the story picking up right where she left us, catches your emotions on the way down, and somehow leaves you grateful for the emotional damage. Every mystery, betrayal, and breadcrumb from Architecti pays off in a finale that's equal parts devastating, romantic, and utterly addictive.
The chemistry is electric. Their love is fierce, messy, obsessive, and achingly tender. The kind of romance that makes you forget to breathe while simultaneously questioning your own standards for emotional stability.
The gothic atmosphere :chef's kiss:, the mythology expands in all the right ways, and the twists kept me guessing until the very end. Add in Ruby Roe's signature spice, unforgettable side characters, and prose that balances darkness with hope, and you've got a book that's impossible to put down.
If you're looking for sunshine and rainbows, this isn't it. But if you crave some morally gray action, haunting settings, forbidden love, emotional devastation, and women who would quite literally burn worlds for each other, Interitus deserves a place at the very top of your TBR.
A breathtaking conclusion to an unforgettable duology. Five stars simply aren't enough. Thanks for crafting us another masterpiece that captures our hearts.
Firstly, I want to thank Ruby Roe for the opportunity to be an ARC reader. Additionally, this book got me out of the great book slump of 2026. I had started five books this year and not finished a single one. This one though… gripped me tight and raised me from perdition. Secondly, WHERE DO I START?! Oh my gods above! The cliffhanger from Architecti was brutal and honestly one of the worst waits for a book I’ve ever endured so I think I devoured the first ten chapters in ten minutes.
As much as I love Midnight as a Dom… as a person… her and I are personally fighting. Just saying. My gods the amount of times I want to grip a character by their shoulders and just shake them.
Lucy… babygirl… you can do no wrong.
One thing I really love about Ruby Roe novels is the fact we NEVER have to hear about a straight relationship, whine if you must but fuck, with the market so crowded with hetero relationships, it’s so refreshing to open a Ruby book. Even the side characters are gay or lesbian or pan or whatever. It’s so relieving.
I would love to add that I completely convinced my friend to read the book based on the.. shadow scene.. IYKYK… alone.
That being said, Interitus was a journey from start to finish. You will feel every emotion reading this book and what a wonderful way to end the duology. My heart is full of lesbianism and I genuinely cannot be more excited for the mafia book that is coming.
Marking as spoilers solely for the shadow scene iykyk mention! <3

Strap in folks, this book is genuinely one of the best books Ruby Roe has ever released. I was obsessed with Archetecti, and knew it was going to take a lot to match the energy of book one, and WOW did she deliver. Interitus will have you throwing your book across the room, sobbing and laughing all within the span of an hour. The chemistry between Lucy and Midnight was absolutely amazing in book one, and seeing that relationship build and mature throughout Interitus was so incredibly heartwarming, and breaking at the same time. In this world of fantastical demons and magic, the romance still feels incredibly genuine and relatable. What made the romance feel so genuine was how much we saw the characters change and grow. Growth is non-linear, and that was portrayed amazingly in this book. Watching the way both Lucy and Midnight bettered themselves and worked on their own personal healing, while healing their relationship had me in tears. Seeing Lucy and Midnight depend on their found family both physically and emotionally really was what set this book apart. Also, who could forget Mortem? If you liked him in Archetecti, you will be OBSESSED with him in Interitus. All together, Interitus healed me from the emotional damage of Archetecti, then broke me again, then put me back together piece by piece in the best way. The spice draws you in, the romance keeps you reading, and the twists and turns make it impossible to put this book down.
I absolutely loved the duality of the angels ! The yin and yang dynamic between so many of the characters made them feel layered and interesting instead of being strictly good or evil.
The plot twist completely blindsided me. I usually see twists coming from a mile away, but this one got me!
Bastien :( There were multiple moments where I had to put the book down and stare at a wall for a minute.
Architecti’s side story with Gellara was one of my favorite parts of the book. I found myself really invested in that journey, although I do wish we’d gotten a little more time to know Interitus on a more personal level.
Also, the immortal lovers cameo? SO fun. I was giggiling and kicking my feet!!!
Midnight absolutely stole my heart. Roe has this cruel talent for emotionally devastating readers and then somehow giving us endings that make all the suffering worth it. Every time I think I won’t recover, she patches me back together just enough to leave me satisfied.
And of course, the spice scenes were sexy as always. But honestly? I’m still sitting here thinking about the bone scene. You know the one. I just… ow.
Overall, Interitus was emotional, surprising, painful, romantic, and impossible to put down. Roe remains undefeated when it comes to making me suffer and then thanking her for it afterward.

Was this one of my most anticipated reads of the year? Yes. Did I want to drop everything and just devour this book? Also yes. Was I able to? Unfortunately, no.
However! I was able to read it in roughly 33% chunks, which was amazing, honestly. I was able to sort out my feelings a little between reading sessions.
The story was incredible. The dual timelines were so good. Everything about the then with Architecti and Interitus and the current timeline with Lucy and Midnight was amazing. It told the story so well, and it added to the suspense.
Midnight was given the short end of a non-existent stick. She makes decisions while in terrible head spaces, and she definitely pays for it.
Lucy is forced to reckon with her father's terrible upbringing and the realization of what she truly is.
Throughout the story, I was hooked. I wanted to lock in and just devour Interitus the way I did Architecti, but life wouldn't let me.
I will say, the spice was incredible. Midnight using the ribbons of magic for ✨that✨. Pure fucking genius. Definitely some of her most creative scenes.
I did notice something, but I haven't gotten it confirmed, so all I'll say is if my thought is correct, fucking amazing writing.
Overall, Architecti broke me, Interitus broke me more, and then it finally put me back together. I can't wait for more from Ruby.
This book ripped me apart and then put me right back together again, in all the best ways. I laughed, I bawled my eyes out, and I had to step away for a moment multiple times 🥵 (only to pick it up again immediately because I was unable to resist).
The spice, the tension, the STAKES. Ruby has an absolutely masterful way of weaving together and then wrapping up the multiple plot lines in this story. I swear, I never think she’ll be able to top her last book and then somehow she pulls it out every damn time. Interitus is no exception.
I wish I could read a thousand more books with Lucy and Midnight, but at least they got the conclusion they deserved!
If you love slightly toxic, obsessive lesbians, professor/student vibes, sentient ghost cats, and a strap scenes that somehow tops the last (pun intended), it is absolutely imperative that you read Architecti NOW so you’ll be ready for Interitus on June 30!
SERIOUSLY JUST GO BUY THE BOOK
Shoutout to Sacha and her team for letting me read this incredible book early! I was DYING for their conclusion after my Architecti re-read and could not have waited one single more second!!! Can’t wait for Daughter of Sin!
Ruby Roe has been an auto-read author for me for a long time now, and Interitus is yet another reason why. I wish I had the option for more than 5⭐️ because this series definitely calls for it! Picking up immediately after the absolutely brutal cliffhanger we were left at in Architecti, Interitus wasted no time throwing us right back into the action. From the very beginning the suspense, emotions, and nonstop twists had me absolutely hooked. I genuinely felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I could not read the pages fast enough! I was so invested in these characters and my heart was in my throat wondering how everything was going to play out. Then, piece by piece, everything fell perfectly into place.
Ruby has such a talent for creating unforgettable characters and putting together a plot that constantly keeps me guessing. And, in true Ruby Roe fashion, I loved seeing familiar faces from her interconnected world while also getting a glimpse of what’s to come. The setup for the next series has me ridiculously excited and I already know I’ll be first in line to read it!! Ruby, ma’am, you are a true goddess and at this point I’m convinced you could write your grocery list and I’d happily read every word. Thank you for sending me an early ARC copy of Interitus, and I can’t wait to see where you take us next.
Interitus picks up exactly where Architecti left off, and holy shit, Ruby Roe somehow managed to make everything even more chaotic, emotional, and unhinged. This book was absolutely insane in the best possible way. The spice was incredible (as expected, because nobody does fantasy romance quite like Ruby Roe), but what really blew me away was Interitus as a character. I thought I knew what to expect after book one, and I was so wrong. She was far more terrifying, fascinating, heartbreaking, and completely unhinged than I could have imagined. The dark romantasy vibes were off the charts, and the emotional whiplash Ruby puts her readers through should honestly be studied. One minute I was swooning, the next I was devastated, and then suddenly I was gripping my phone in pure anxiety. If you're a fan of Supernatural, parts of this gave me major Demon Dean and Sam desperately trying to save him energy. Why was I crying, turned on, terrified, and emotionally compromised all at the same time? I truly couldn't tell you. All I know is that this duology completely consumed me, and Ruby Roe delivered a dark, addictive, unforgettable finale that left me wrecked.
Okay wow! This was an absolute rollercoaster in the best way ever!!! 😱💜
Interitus picks up right where Architecti left off. It doesn't let you breathe for a single second, it throws you right back into the fire exactly where you left off!
What I loved:
• The Plot Twists: I usually see twists coming from a mile away, but this one completely made my jaw drop to the floor having me like: "Omg YOURE JOKING??!?"
• The World-Building and Magic System: The world building and magic system in Architecti were already insanely good, but seeing how Ruby put all the pieces together at the end was just absolutely brilliant.
• The Spice: Top tier just as expected!! Ruby always delivers with her spice!!😍🌶️ Trust me when I say: This book is absolutely no exception!!
Also... can we PLEASE talk about Mortem?! He is the absolute best I loved him just as much as I did in book 1😭🙏🏻🐱
If you loved Architecti, you absolutely need to pick up Interitus!!
A huge thanks to the author for allowing me to read and review this amazing book !!❤️
This book shattered my heart, dragged it through the pits of hell, and somehow managed to put me back together by the end. I laughed, I cried, I stared at the wall questioning my existence, and then immediately wanted to reread parts of it. And listen… we need to talk about the shadow daddy.
Because Ruby really looked at us and said, “What if I gave you a powerful, morally gray woman with shadow powers?”🥵🌶️🥵🌶️ The romance hit every emotional note I wanted. The found family, the angst, the devotion, the heartbreak, the healing… all of it landed for me. When a book can absolutely wreck me and still leave me feeling whole by the end, that’s a five-star read every single time.
Ruby Roe continues to be an automatic-read author for me. At this point, if she writes it, I’m reading it. Now excuse me while I sit here thinking about these characters for the next six business months. 😭🖤🌹🥵📚
I'm going to try and review this without any spoilers, but how do you review something so amazing without spoilers!? I've had this on pre-order since Oct 25, I couldn't wait and was lucky enough to get an advanced copy. My God the drama, the twists & turns, the characters it was brilliant, I read it in 1 day and I gasped, cried, got p**sed and would have thrown if I wasn't reading on my phone! That's how immersed in the characters I became, the way Ruby creates the world is amazing, as with the Kindom of Immortal Lovers series (personal fav) I could imagine the world, see the field, see the campus while I was reading. For anyone wanting a deliciously dark wlw fantasy this is for you, but maybe get a box of Tissues (get your mind out of the gutter, you may cry I warned you)
6 days!!! I didn’t put this down unless I had to. Midnight and Lucy I’m glad you didn’t spend the whole book mad at eachother, I’m glad you just did everything in love this time round. Bastien… so sorry you had to die my love, but it was bound to be one of you. The chemistry between Midnight and Lucy is everything and more, I love my little reaper and demon, butch/femme dynamic.
Also, insanely enjoyed the mini vampires assemble towards the end, didn’t realise how much I’ve missed Red and Octavia until they came back for a little cameo. I’m so glad the world building is continuing and there’s more chances for stories and characters to overlap.
Ruby Roe, please never stop writing sapphic romance I beg.

"Interitus" by Ruby Roe is the epic conclusion of the Deals of Dark Desire duology that you couldn't see coming. A dark and very steamy lesbian demon romance featuring a masc daddy, soul-reaping bargains, and fallen angels, "Interitus" picks up right where "Architecti" devastatingly left off.
With betrayals, sapphic obsession, and a love that levels cities, Lucy and Midnight must fight their way back to one another whilst battling fallen angels hellbent on toppling the realms. The character arcs of both MCs is exactly what I've come to know and love about Ruby Roe's writing and a top notch spice level that will leave you begging daddy for more.
Thank you Ruby Roe for the eARC and the chance to once again be on your street team.
Best series by Ruby so far (I know, I know, I say this after each one). I already loved Architecti, and this was the perfect conclusion to the story, even better than book 1. Wonderful. The mix of tenderness and love with rage and hurt and pain was a perfect balance in the love story. BUT I think this is Ruby's finest work when jt comes to the plot. The worldbuilding was great, the characters more complex, the storylines logical but also whimsical.
There's no reason to deny Ruby does dark romantasy the best, I can't wait for what's next, let's goooooo.
𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦: ♥︎ sapphic romance ♥︎ gothic fantasy ♥︎ demons + fallen angels ♥︎ age gap (29/40) ♥︎ deals with the devil (literally) ♥︎ second chance vibes ♥︎ magical elements ♥︎ mortem, the (ghost) cat 🐈⬛

This book is brilliant, I loved it! I thought I was prepared for this one, but I was so wrong! Interitus took me through a whole roller coaster of emotions and I felt a step behind the whole time never knowing what was going to happen next. I was holding my kindle in a death grip through the whole thing and could not put it down. Ruby Roe is a master at her craft, so do yourself a favor and give this book a read.
