Aubree Royal is an adventurous, care free spirit that loves fast cars and adrenaline rushes. Her life is filled with creating social media content, being a part of a car club, playing football on a girls' team, and trying to forgive herself for a mistake she made years ago. Trying to let go of the past was easier when her first love, Brasi was serving time in prison. But Brasi is home, and his second chance at freedom might mean a second heartbreak for the young beauty.
Brasi promised himself that his last day in prison would be the last time he ever saw the inside of a prison. Though he comes home with a plan and determination, old habits are hard to break, and being broke in his eyes is almost the same as being locked up. Brasi just wants to stack his paper and get on his feet, but old acquaintances and an ex lover shake his world up whether he's prepared for the drama or not.
OK, I love the story. Second chances make the heart go boom boom. Aubree being a baddie with a purple hellcat ,my type of girl. I feel like I was more impressed by her just because you know she get unconventional things she’s racing and she played football. This was a really good and the only reason I gave this book 4 stars is because I feel like I’m left with a little bit of questions on how they’re gonna move on and how at some point they get their daughter back.
I am a big fan of Natisha Raynor, I think she's a great writer and I enjoy her stories.
The Hellcat Barbies: Aubree is a good example of why I enjoy Natisha Raynor's writing. While I enjoyed the story and the characters, something with the story was amiss for me -- I think a lot of it has to do with the FMC's storyline involving her twin. I'm not sure how it really contributed to the overall story because from the book, it didn't affect the FMC's trust, family relationships, or anything else. Just seemed like an unnecessary messy addition to an already convoluted story,
That said I really liked the FMC Aubree and the MMC Brasi - they're diverse, they're compatible, and the author does a great job depicting their chemistry.
I have enjoyed every The Hellcat Barbies story and I recommend it to fans of urban fiction stories with strong FMCs.
I loved that Aubree and Brasi got an happy ending. I hope we get more on Autumn. Will we ever find out if Brianna finds out the truth? Other than that Nice needs to be put under the dirt.
This was a short read, but I genuinely enjoyed it. The story pulled me in fast and left me wanting more — I still have a few questions running through my head about how everything unfolded. Brasi getting out of prison and actually choosing a better path was refreshing to see. So often, men come home stuck in the same mindset, so his growth really stood out.
I do wish Aubree and Brasi had that one conversation before she made the decision to give the baby away, but I appreciated how the author showed the emotional weight of that choice. The story definitely gave second-chance love energy, and I liked that soft yet real balance. My only wish was for a few more scenes that connected the title Hellcat Barbies more directly to the storyline.
It took me a minute to finish this one but I did! The story took a while for me to warm up to, Aubree was a nice rounded character ( outside of some of the shit she did that kind of pissed me off ) her feelings for Brasi were definitely still deep. Brasi was another character I loved, adding him to my book bf’s lol. Him getting out of prison and jumping on his grind mode was amazing. What Aubree kept from him also was wrong but I understood why she did it. Brasi as well.
Aubree’s twin thoooo and Nice I wanted to beat both of their asses! But karma got her back. Overall the book was good, the storyline was paced well and I would read another one by this author..
Hmmm, while I appreciate a great urban 🤎love story, black love 💕& or a second chance Nubian 🤎 romance, Aubree & Brasi’s journey was juvenile & annoying 🙄🤔🥴‼️…Dude, yeah hine sight is always twenty 20/20 twenty👀🧐‼️But the audacity to volunteer his (your) family for responsibilities, obligations & commitments you weren’t capable to fulfill is/was presumptuous, inconsiderate, reckless & selfish🥴🤬‼️Who cares what you wanted & or your flaccid feelings ‼️Where was this wisdom prior to serving six years in state prison system chillin’ while incarcerated 🤷🏾♀️⁉️Nevertheless, the storyline got better for A & B. However, “karma” & her cousin “pride” is/was a painful 😣 reality 🤭 and reminder always consider the company you entertain🤔‼️…what goes around comes around‼️
I wasn’t feeling Aubree in the beginning but she grew on me. She was dead ass wrong and I must say I understand but I don’t understand. Why take that decision from him. He deserved to know the moment she decided to carry. Brasi was really a stand up guy. He had every right to be angry and he still came back to her with compassion and understanding.
I didn’t like the way this ended and I feel like so much was missing. Also Autumn was wrong but literally nothing happened, her plan failed. I just think going six years without speaking to your sister and harboring so much anger and hate was insane.
I enjoyed this book from.stary to finish! I hope to see more of Aubree and Brasi I love how Brasi didnt let his being down for a minute stop him from attaining his goals and being on the straight and narrow. Aubree on the other hand, she did well for herself though some regrets, due to a decision made when she was young, between she and Brasi though they're werw able to get their old thing back amd deal with Aubree decision.
I loved the ending, but I know there's more to their story!
Natisha, what can I say? As always this read was good to me. You always give real life situations. I will say though I need some more of these folk. I hope we see them again. Having to make choices in your life that seem to be good at the time may have you all in your head. When it's.for the right reasons though we tend to learn how to adapt without guilt. Hopefully, it won't blow up.. I can't wait to see what's next🤗🤗🤗🤗
That darn Nice was a mess. I’m glad he got caught. Took out Ish, and played in all of his family members faces. All over jealousy. Brasi found out the truth and didn’t do too much damage. He wanted to stay a free man. He was able to get back with his true love, Aubree. I was hoping they’d get Brianna back or at least have another baby they can raise. I know they would have if the book was longer. Glad autumn apologized to Aubree also.
Aubree and Brasi’s love story was okay, but I wish Brasi had been allowed to sit in his mad a little longer after finding out the secret Aubree kept from him. That tension could’ve added more depth.
On top of that, I wanted to see more of their romance on the page, not just be told about how they felt through their inner monologues. The emotions were there, but the actual love story needed more shine. (3/5)
A good second chance romance read. The book was quite interesting from beginning to end with drama interspersed within. Secrets were revealed, snakes were weeded out and relationships were tested. Aubree and Brasi decided to give their relationship another chance after his six year bid and him finding out the she had his daughter and gave her to her aunt while he was locked down. I definitely would like to read a follow-up on these two.
Loved this book. I’m not a fan of second chance tropes but this was good! I feel sad that Aubree did what she did in the beginning. But I get it, it’s hard out here. I like that the author let the other characters share in the difference of opinion of the issue. Like it wasn’t just glazed over. I don’t want to give too much away just in case someone reads this but hasn’t read the book. Anyway! Very good read 5 stars as usual!!!
One thing about Natisha she’s going to give you a book bae. Since reading her books I fall in love with almost every single one of her MMC’s🤣🤣. I peeped Nice MO from his first appearance. So glad he got what he deserved. The baby situation was cringey. Other than that I loved, also I cheesed every time my girl Breezy stepped on the scene.
Jealous comes in many forms you may just have a beautiful spirit or nothing more than two nickels and a dime. Someone spiteful is always going to want what is yours.
Raynor providing insight of MMC standing on his chose of living his life rather than seeking revenge was respectful.
I enjoyed Aubree’s story and I’m hoping this is a series 🤔 I love how she lived everyday like it was her last. Brasi got out and kept his mind clear and did what he had to do but finding out something shifted him a little. Their second chance at love came with getting over past events. Hopefully we will hear more about next comes next with them! 4.5
Brasi, sir you had every right to act a darn fool. I mean with Aubree and Nice. Dude was playing in your face from the beginning. Yeah, that was not cool.
Aubree, babygirl, your reasons were valid and invalid. I looked at you sideways for a minute but I guess if he was cool then who am I.
Brasi has always loved Aubree. He did not want her to wait 6 years for him to return from prison. That Connie chick thought she was the funk. Guess what you can’t make someone love you. Aubree was wrong to keep the child hidden, but oh well. Excellent story. I hope you write some more about the HCB.
3.5. I did like the 2nd chance story for the relationship and Brasi choices career wise and schooling. But that one piece (babygirl) left me wondering how will that work. I felt bad for Brasi as well in that aspect.

This packed a punch and ended on a good note! I love second chance romance and secret babies so this was a good story! Natisha knows how to tell a messy ass story!
Aubree and brasi story was very interesting to see developed. Sometime absence makes the heart grow fonder. He was man enough to let her go and forgiveness after a dark secret brought them back together. I would love to read more about these characters.
This was a very good read. I’m not really a fan of the abrupt ending but hopefully there will be a pt 2 because there is a lot left to be desired. This could definitely be a good series. I gave four stars for that reason. please hurry with the next book. Thank you.
I enjoyed their story. It was foul what Aubree did, but it wasn't her sister place to tell him. Having so much hate for your twin is crazy. Everyone, you need to read the hellcat barbies catalog as they come out. These authors are LIT as usual
Brasi came home and got his baby back. I figured Nice was shady. He was moving funny, but I didn't think he did what he did. Aubrey and Autumn's relationship was disappointing. I'm glad Autum took responsibility. I hope this book has a part 2
Good start for the Hellcat Barbies series. Brasi and Aubree were together madly in love but he ended up catching a drug charge and had to do a bid that he didn’t want Aubree to put her life on hold for to hold him down. He made the decision for her and deliberately pushed her away not knowing that she was pregnant at the time. I understand Aubree being young and having low income but nothing is a good enough excuse for giving their daughter away. She could have moved back home, got help from Brasi family, and help from her own family until she got in a better position. I’m glad that they found their way back to each other pretty much picking up where they left off at. I like the fact that Brasi did get to meet Brianna and spend time with her. I knew Nice was flawed from day one because he was just doing too much and it didn’t seem genuine since him and Brasi didn’t bang together like that. I was glad that Brasi got his get back and that Nice’s dumbness caused him to get jammed up for his actions. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series.
Overall this was a good read. I just want to know where's the rest???? I feel so empty...like there's more, but I'm missing it. Nonetheless, on to the next great read.
This was such a lovely story. I really enjoyed it! Aubree owning a purple (which is my favorite color) hellcat completes this story to perfection in many ways!
