While I feel like I understand Momonga's backstory pretty well, I look forward to hopefully seeing it at some point.

It feels strange to read a volume with so much happiness. This volume is a joy with the characters working hard, developing their skills, and bonding. So much positivity with very little scares for the gang. While I do love the chaos and darkness in some other volumes/chapters, it was very sweet to see them having so much fun. Whether it be the joy of seeing Chiikawa happy and confident in their studies, Hachiware grinding in their dreams of being a top ranker, or Shisa learning from the GOAT Kurimanju, there is so much hard work and dedication here. There's also a lot of silly fun like the defeat of the witch (which most the gang didn't even know was a threat) or watching the gang play games online to become digital top rankers. My absolute favorite thing about this volume is the sheer amount of side characters. Feels like just about everyone is here and it's so much fun to swap between all the creatures and their antics.
