I'm glad I didn't pay for this book (got it on Kindle Unlimited). It could have been reduced to 2 pages. And the "story" they used as filler to create a book longer than 2 pages was treacly and ridiculous. Just give me actionable instruction. If you take out everything else, you're down to some basics that are even more basic than this. I won't be reading any other MM books. I'm good, thanks.

I gave it 2 stars because it wasn't HORRIBLE, but I honestly can't believe people need to be told to wake up early, brush their teeth, drink water, read a book, and do some exercise. Everyone knows this.

Lol

Sincerely one of the worst books I have ever read in my life. I could go into more detail about the specifics of this trash, but I'd feel silly to put more effort into a review of a book than the authors did into the writing of said book.

I understand that it's self-help, and a niche self-help book at that, but c'mon. Normally I can excuse poor writing if the concept is interesting and the "help" is helpful, but the concept essentially amounted to "wake up early, do these things, and your relationships will strengthen, your career will skyrocket, your health will improve, your mindset will resemble that of a stoic monk, and you will achieve the happiness and fulfillment that YOU deserve."

This is actually kind of fun, so I'll continue.

The structure of the book was tasteless and obvious, there was copious repetition and filler to beef up a book who's point could be summarized in a handful of bullets and some supporting paragraphs, and the plot and dialogue were contrived. Yes, plot. There's a plot to this self-help book. "But mister, who really cares?" You're right, Little Cletus. The target audience of this book shouldn't care (the target audience being struggling real estate agents who clearly don't read, as evidenced by one of the tips for success being to read, because "Readers Make Leaders", and the protagonists' enlightened reaction that... "Whoa, there's wisdom in books? I've never thought of it like that.".... That quote isn't verbatim, but it's damn close. Yes, even the "Whoa".

So was it helpful? I suppose for those who don't understand the basic value of reading, journaling, routine, positive mindset, exercise, and meditation, then it MIGHT be a little enlightening. For those that already do, the only other advice given is to do these things in the morning because insert cherry picked successful people here wake up early. Also because this will ensure that you set the bar for the rest of your day by doing these things as soon as you wake up.

Is it bad advice? Absolutely not. But this advice is far from revolutionary and barely related to Real Estate. Couple that with the passively contrived inclusion of the Bible/God, and less passively contrived inclusion of website and book promotions, and you got yourself a certified piece of trash.

"But mister, why the 2 stars?" Oh, Little Cletus, nothing gets by you. I gave the book 2 stars because it was thoroughly entertaining. Entertaining like when someone is giving a speech at a wedding and the jokes aren't landing. Or when you see a baby so ugly that you just can't look away.

This book is that baby.

If you are on a spiritual or self help journey or self improvement journey, this is a great book. Basically, Hal Elrod has summed up his Miracle Morning with the acronym SAVERS, he talks about the life changing benefits he received from rising early and making himself his number one priority

Silence
Affirmation
Visualization
Exercise
Reading
Scribbling (Journaling)

All of these are great suggestions and often recommended as part of a successful life!

Not what I expected. The majority of the book feels like a sales pitch.

When i buy any type of self-help book i mainly seek solutions to a specific problem with clear action steps and the reason / wisdom behind them. In this book all the lessons is given to the reader throughout a fictional story, where the characters talk about how good they feel and how good their results get as soon as they implement the author’s specific method. This didn’t resonate with me at all, but I imagine it could be a complete home run for others.
I didn’t dislike anything about the miracle morning routine, I just didn’t enjoy the packaging of the information.

If you are looking for a fictional story with self improvement lessons that you can apply to your own life, this could be enjoyable.

If you are looking for a clear step by step guide, I do not recommend this book.

Great book as I read the original. Though it had the real estate twist though in the big scheme of things I'd say the core of it is very much the same as the original just with real estate characters.

Great book! There's a regular version for people that aren't real estate agents called The Miracle Morning. I highly recommend it. This book helped me get my mornings back on track. If you start your day off right, it changes the outcome of the rest of your entire day....and your life. By following the principles taught in this book, I'm loving my mornings again! I love waking up and getting started with my day.

Uplifting

Uplifting just the boost I needed to refocus. Life gets in the way of me doing what I know I should but always find a reason not to. So this book was easy and a little cheesy but just what I needed to balance myself

I'll start off by saying this IS a good book, but I'm definitely glad I read it for free with my Kindle Unlimited trial. I suppose I should have reviewed it a little more prior to reading it too. I read the original Miracle Morning right before starting this version. I thought it would give some good insight on how to start your morning as a real estate agent, incorporating real estate activities into the Miracle Morning. That's not really what this book did.

I started reading a story about a couple in the real estate business who are struggling personally and professionally, thinking it would be an introduction to the book, about how the Miracle Morning has changed their lives. Really, what it was, was a FULL BOOK about the couple on their Miracle Morning coaching journey and the two seminars they attended about it. I feel like I basically read the shortened version of the main book, told through this couple, plus a crash course seminar about the same information. The coach used the same exact stories from the main book and slightly changed them with his version (a lot of his stories are word for word Hal's experiences and he literally changed something as small as a name). The quotes were exactly the same too. I think this was a little cheesy and really doesn't warrant a full book. The couple's story really could have been summarized into the main book's introduction.

On one hand, I do wish I would have just marked the main book as "read again" and skipped to the "Bonus Chapter" in this version. This book really didn't give me any additional insight on how to incorporate real estate into the Miracle Morning, until the "Bonus Chapter", where you'll find actual real estate tips from industry pros. On the other hand, re-reading is highly stressed in the book "until they become engrained in the subconscious mind", so I will say that it did help engrain the major points into my memory. If you haven't read the main Miracle Morning book, I would start with that. I don't think just reading this version will give you the full effect that the main book does. I wouldn't read this version again, but I WILL re-read the main book again.

Showing is better than telling.

Suicide for real estate agents is 1.38 times the national average.

73% reported high stress levels.

Avg stress levels in the US is 4.9 on a scale of 1-10

Avg education for realtor is a bachelor degree, but we make nearly half of what the avg degree holder makes.

Real estate agents are in the $600 per week range.

One of the saddest things in life is to get to the end and look back in regret, knowing that you could have been, done, and had so much more.

You snooze, you loose.

We hit the snooze button and resist waking up, unaware that our resistance is sending a message to the universe that we’d rather lie there in our beds, unconscious, then consciously and actively live and create the lives we claim that we want.

Silence - this is a time to let go of your stress and take a break from worrying about your problems. This is the time to be fully present in this moment. 🔥 make every person you’re with feel like they are the most important person in the world.

Affirmations - how’s your programming?

If we don’t actively change our programming, our potential will be crushed and our lives limited by the fears, insecurities, and limitations of our past.

In order for your affirmations to be effective, it is important that you tap into your emotions while reading them. Mindlessly repeating a phrase over and over again, without feeling it’s truth, will have minimal impact on you. 🔥have fun with feeling it!!

Second, it can be beneficial to incorporate a purposeful physiology, such as reciting your affirmations while standing tall, taking deep breaths, making a fist, or even exercising!

Third, please keep in mind that your affirmations are always a work in progress, never a final draft, because you should always be updating them.

As you continue to learn, grow and evolve, so should your affirmations.

Fourth, you must be consistent with reading your affirmations daily.

Finally, books, reading and listening to books, is a form of an affirmation.

Just the kick in the pants you may need

Life was feeling out of control. I felt like I was racing to catch up to my day, every day. I tend to be a night owl so the thought of getting up early was inherently NOT what I wanted to do. But I did it anyway. This book and all its partner books, are absolutely life changing if you follow the plan. I’m not a huge fan of fictionalizing self help books (ironic as I’m a fiction writer) but I do see the benefits of viewing the program thru someone else’s eyes and the bottom line is that regardless of the packaging, the Miracle Morning works. I actually enjoy getting up at 5am. I never would have thought those words would come out of my mouth. But it’s true. I have time to start my day right and I’m energized and focused. Read the Miracle Morning. You won’t be disappointed.

I am a believer in rising early and getting things accomplished and I am real estate agent so this book would seem to be a natural fit for me.

The author frames the concepts of early morning productivity in a story about a formerly successful real estate agent who is in a general state of dysphoria and an all-around slump. He incorporates the early rising, positive affirmations, etc. and his attitude changes, he breaks out of his slump and becomes ultra-successful again.

The story involves lots of positive thinking seminars, lovingly described, with cheering, enthusiastic participants, and cameo testimonials. Despite my natural skepticism of such seminars, I'm giving the book four stars because I am convinced that I've been able to accomplish a lot more because of my early rising habit.

If you’ve not already read The Miracle Morning then this book will be marvellous for you. I read the main book then this one straight after and was hoping for something more, something to really help with the specific agency side, and while there are a few pages at the back of the book that give me that, it was mainly a parable-type version of the main book.
The Miracle Morning remains one of my top self-improvement books, I’m getting so much out of my mornings and am continuing the 30-day challenges, so I do highly recommend this series. If you prefer a story-telling then this book is great. If you prefer a more traditional self-help style then the original may suit you better.

Great book for Real Estate Agents!! I read the original Miracle Morning book so I already knew about the S.A.V.E.R.S., what it means, and the results they bring (I also did the 30-day challenge) so this was like a refresher. However, the incorporated story of Rick and Michelle really hammers home what the Miracle Morning is and how it can change your life. Plus the bonus 'Real Estate high achiever tips' at the end of the book were a welcomed bonus. If you're a Real Estate agent, you have to read this book.

5 AM and the AM stands for Another Miracle

I read the condensed version in April. Started rising between 5 and 6 am all thru the summer to run. I reread the book in December and plan to work in the other aspects of having a Miracle Morning. It really is an eye opener (notice the pun).

Very motivating book. Helps agents to get organized and fired up”! As a new agent it is really hard to figure out where to start and can be very overwhelming. Routines are crucial in life and this book helps to get you into one. Some people may think you are “drinking the kool-aid” but I was/am very motivated by it!

The only reason this didn't get a 5 was because I've read the original Miracle Morning so I already knew about the concepts. What I loved about this version was really taking each one of the SAVERS and individually relating them to some aspect of the real estate business. Granted, the overall story of the protagonists is a little cheesy and predictable, the guidance in here was helpful.

Excited to take the 30 Day Challenge

A game changer!! I skipped the original Morning Miracle and went straight to this one. Some of the tasks were things that I’ve already been doing, but haven’t been consistent. I love how the author stacks all of these into a simple morning routine.

Terribly absent of any "how to". And not everyone is geared biologically to get up early in the morning. The affirmations part and helping shift your psychology may be about the only thing I can say positive about the book.

I’d rather read the teachings than the fictional stories of Rick and Michelle. The teachings are great, but a lot of the book is filler. It’s still valuable information - just packaged weird. YMMV!
