Dexter meets Legally Blonde

Kitty Collins is back enacting her uniquely warped style of vigilante justice and this time she has her younger, crazier sister on board as an apprentice 😂. This was the same fun time as all the Kitty Collins books but the story was a bit of a muddle in the middle. Had a bit too much going on and strayed from the main purpose, but still lots of murdering of really bad men, so fun.

I’ll say less because there are lots of twists and I don’t want to spoil them. But I recommend trying out this series if you like a vigilante story with a little gore, a lot of justice and love the idea of burning down the patriarchy, one decapitation at a time. 🙃

Woohoooooo! got the arc! Thanks Harper Collins Canada.

Song: No Body No Crime by Taylor Swift and HAIM

“This isn’t a girls trip. It’s a murder mission.“

“It’s my signature. All serial killers need a signature.“

“He’s an ally.”

“So here it is. The moment I have truly been waiting for. The moment that I can wipe this repugnant piece of excrement off the face of the planet.”

“Wow, you know how I feel about men, but you have got yourself a king there, Kits.”

“I’m really into this body-disposal-but-make-it-luxe vibe we’ve got going on here.”

Thanks to Harper Collins and Katy Brent for my #gifted copy of this book. I love the Kitty Collins books they are darkly comedic which is exactly what I like. I finished it in just over 24 hours if that gives you any clue as to how much I loved it.

Kitty and her half sister Antoinette are on the hunt for Aiden Ward so they can avenge Kitty’s best friend Tor….Aiden beat the hell outta Tor in the last book. But there are new villains introduced and offed in this book.

I really loved how we got to see Charlie again. I was surprised with that part of the story because where we started and where we ended were completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

One question I have though is whatever happened to Lana Del Gay?! Maybe she’ll make an appearance in book 4 and help solve another mystery.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I’m hopeful there will be more. This is a series that just keeps getting better. It’s funny because the first book was decent but 2 & 3 were my favs. I actually read the first 2 in reverse order which really didn’t matter but I’d say you really should read book 2 before jumping into book 3 in order to really appreciate the characters and storylines.

This is one of my fav series of all time and I’m so glad I gave it a shot because there is no turning back now. I’m a Kitty Collins fan for life.

QOTD: What’s your favorite series?!

I really had a fun time with this book! This is my first by Katy & even though it’s 3rd in the series, I enjoyed these characters and story line without the backstory from those! I definitely want to go back to get the full experience with the other books, but this one kept me hooked in! I read it in less than 24 hours & absolutely love Kitty & her sister Antionette!

This was a dark comedy, thriller vibe book, with lots of female rage, revenge plot, bad ass FMC’s and men getting what they deserve! 🤭 this was full of suspense & twists that kept me wanting more & the ending had me flipping pages like crazy!

If you love banter, laugh out loud moments, strong women, and murdery vibes, this will absolutely be for you!! I’m assuming going in order would give a lot more of a fun and revealing ride for these characters, but I enjoyed this one as a standalone as well!!! Can’t wait to go back and read more!

Thank you Harper 360 & Katy Brent for the gifted early copy!!

Thank you to the team at HQ Stories and Katy Brent for my arc copy of To All the Men I've Killed Before.

I will preface this review by saying please read on trigger warnings before starting this novel, or any of the series. There are heavy and direct references to abuse.

I am such a lover of Kitty Collins and her adventures and this one was a perfect addition to the now trilogy.

Kitty Collins is such a likeable character for me. She is one with grit, determination and an incredibly strong sentence of justice. Although in an unconventional way, she shows what it is like to be a woman. I think, although she definitely makes some questionable (very questionable) decisions, including her murders, she is a character that feels raw and protective. It was so wonderful to see her bond with Antoinette in this novel, and to witness her adoration for sisterhood and for women supporting women.

I loved the very driven plot, the way in which we saw how revenge hungry they were, but also how there were side plots throughout. I say a particular good riddance to Ron Wilde! It was interesting to see how Brent showed Kitty murderous side 'fizzling' out and dimming, although not entirely of course. It was clear that Kitty was determined to protect women at all costs, particularly those that have had first hand experience with abuse at the hands of a man.

I genuinely love everything about this series, and this book was the icing on the cake. There was humour, sisterhood, deceit, murder (of course!) and some familiar faces along the way. By the end of the novel, I almost felt emotional at Kitty's successes and I felt like she finally got the happy ending the deserved. That chapter of her life was tied up neatly with a red ribbon.

Brent has always astounded me with her novels, and this one was even better. I didn't even know it was possible.

arc review ~ I honestly wish I wrote better reviews than I do because I really just be writing vibes of the book but that being said I started this book a few days ago but not had any reading time so I started it again today and HAVE I MOVED ALL DAY. NO.

I have and will continue to recommend this series the way in which Katy writes kitty to be so relatable as a serial killer needs to be looked into. It was nice to see Kitty and Antoinette’s relationship bloom after the end of book two because I thought this was gonna be a nightmare duo. Kitty plans ahead for every detail and Antoinette really just be doing what she wants the adhd to Kittys tism. Literally my brain fighting itself on a daily.

Kitty and her lil murder-admin assistant. I loved every second of it and some parts made my bonnet fly off my head.

Thank you to HQ & NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc!

This book is officially my favourite of the entire series and I had SO much fun reading it. The dynamic between Kitty and Antoinette was absolutely chef’s kiss. Antoinette brought such chaotic energy to the story and every interaction between the two of them was entertaining, funny, and completely addictive to read.

Katy Brent once again perfectly balanced dark humour, rom com vibes, shocking moments, and of course the very satisfying removal of awful men who absolutely had it coming. But what surprised me most in this one was the amount of empathy I ended up feeling for someone who so obviously deserved to die. Somehow this series always manages to make you laugh one second and question your own morals the next.

I also loved seeing Kitty continue to grow throughout the series while still giving us the sharp wit and murdery chaos that makes these books so entertaining. The twists, the humour, the characters — everything just worked for me in this one.

If you’ve been following Kitty’s journey from the start, you are going to LOVE this book. Easily my favourite in the series so far and one I absolutely flew through. 💋🔪

Official blurb - a man hurt your best friend – like, really hurt her – what would you do?
Key his car? Or hunt him down and chop him into little pieces? Tough decision, I know.
I’ve tracked this lowlife to LA and brought my little sister Antoinette along for the ride. I’m trying not to be irritated that she’s found a taste for murder and is leaving body parts all over our hotel. Because this girls’ trip needs a Hollywood ending.
And of all the men I’ve killed before, this one will be the sweetest…

My thoughts - I actually feel a mix of sadness with the excitement because it’s the last instalment of Kitty Collins! 🥺 I hope there’s some sort of Antoinette book in the future! I have to be careful what I say as I don’t want spoilers but I bloody LOVE kitty’s sister! The humour in this did not disappoint! The bit about the over dose was hilarious ( you’ll see!) my favourite quib in the book! 😂 what can I say my humour is twisted lol! Love all the characters, well most lol, this was my favourite of them all! I could not put it down and the ending 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 it was PERFECT! So proud of you Katy Brent! You smashed this book right out that park girl! If you have to wait to read until August trust me…. IT WILL BE WORTH IT!

~ plot ~

After her best friend Tor’s attack in book 2, Kitty Collins has one thing on her mind… revenge. So following the attackers trail she heads to LA with her sister Antoinette in tow. It’s meant to be a quick trip - get in, serve justice and fly home. However upon their arrival things quickly begin to spiral. Between mishaps, murders, cleaning up after Antoinette, an ever growing number of bodies in their wake and a mysterious serial killer targeting the women of WeHo, it soon becomes clear that this trip isn’t going to be the jolly jaunt Kitty hoped for.

~ review ~

First of all, the drama surrounding this book title and the awful messages Katy Brent has been receiving is absolutely crazy. It’s a bloody book title not a factual statement!? It’s not part of some weird to-do list or a prompt that you have to go out and execute.
If that was the case then damn, how much longer do I have to wait for the moon to hatch and does anyone have any tips on how to get the lion and the witch out of my wardrobe??

Anyway…

To All the Men I’ve Killed Before is a dark, twisted, witty thriller that strikes the perfect balance between tension and humour. It’s overflowing with signature Katy Brent sarcasm, banter and satire yet still manages to keep you on the edge of your seat. Although it’s the third and final book in the series, things still feel fresh and exciting due to the introduction of a brilliant new main character, Antoinette and a change of setting, LA. While it’s not necessary to have read books 1 & 2, I’d definitely recommend doing so as they’re fantastic.
If you enjoy fast paced, tense, dark humorous stories, strong female leads with murder on the mind and the idea that what goes around comes around then look no further! ✅

This is one of those books where you sit down in the afternoon to read a few chapters and next thing you know it’s dark outside, you’ve missed Love Island and your stomach is growling as teatime came and went without you even realising. Katy Brent is a master at reeling you in and keeping you suspended through a laugh a minute dialogue and sharp twists and turns. Kitty and Antoinette’s journey is immersive, engaging and although slightly predictable, there really isn’t a dull moment.

~ characters ~

Kitty Collins, a murderer with morals! She’s unhinged and twisted but also measured and fair. Quite possibly the most unconventional people’s Princess of all time but you just can’t help but love her! Her relationship with Antoinette is both entertaining and endearing and I love how strong the exasperated big Sister vibes are. You can literally feel the eye rolls, her counting to 10 over and over and the infinite number deep breaths she has to take. A truly brilliant character.

We all agree that an Antoinette spin-off is a MUST, yes?? Seriously, what a hilarious character. I love how unbothered and blasé she is. She’ll do something so chaotic and unhinged then play it off like it’s a standard Tuesday activity. Yoga at 11am, murder and mutilation at 12pm then a little bit of shopping at 1pm, perfect! Fingers crossed we get to hear more from this one!

~ final thoughts ~

While very obviously fictional, outlandish and humorous, Katy Brent is still able to shine a light on the very real problems women face day in, day out. Things that so often get swept under the rug or chalked up to being a joke can easily be the start of a very slippery slope and should not be ignored.
This was a perfect end to Kitty Collins’ story and while I wish it wasn’t over, I highly suspect that the start of a new and exciting chapter is on the horizon.

Thank you so much to HQ for granting my NetGalley wish for this title. This is my honest opinion & I’m sharing it voluntarily❣️

Oh, where oh where do I start. We are back!
I cannot tell you why this was so good. There isn't a heart-wrenching, life-affirming moral. This isn’t a literary classic, and it isn’t trying to be. But sometimes you close a book, and you just know. And this was one of those books.
I read the first two books in the series earlier in the year, and absolutely ate up How to Unalive Men and Get Away With It, then as I Bet You’d Look Good in A Coffin, was good just not AS good. So, with that in mind, I still had high hopes when I saw there was a book three, and then when I was lucky enough to bag a limited edition proof, you know I had my feet kicking like a little child! I still had incredibly high hopes - and that’s not just because the cover is gorgeous - which, as we all know, is usually asking for trouble. Thankfully, this one absolutely delivered.
I started this before parenting duties dragged me out of bed, and devoured almost half of it, then once I didn’t have to be a parent for the day anymore, spent the evening engrossed. And the book was done.
It is not very often I get so immersed and get it done in almost one sitting. That in itself speaks volumes.
Now this is one I don’t want to give away too much over, you just need to read it for yourself!

By now you will know that Kitty Collins is a serial killer, carrying her own flaws, her own troubles, and an inner monologue we can absolutely all relate to. She cleans the streets from the men who wrong do all women. This time, though? She teams up with her long-lost sister. Double trouble. With that we have all the more sass, sarcasm, banter and humour to what is otherwise of quite a dark nature. Let’s just say, Antoinette’s approach to bumping them off may be somewhat, chaotic, for want of a better word. She lacks the professionalism, planning, scheming that we have seen from Kitty, and of course this results in throwing one or two extra mishaps their way. But it absolutely raised the hilarity stakes, turning this into quite the entertaining family business.

Now I’m no serial killer connoisseur, not by a long shot, but there is something about how Katy writes about female serial killers. Kitty and Antoinette embody that female rage so many women quietly carry around. Not that I’m saying we’re all roaming the streets as female serial killers, but they’re doing what they believe is right, and taking girl power to a whole new extreme.
Sisters supporting sisters, fighting for what’s right, you hurt my world, I hurt you. Absofrickinlutely.

Like I said, this is full of dark humour, laughs and at times, real emotion. It is fast paced, witty, and so unhinged, I am so here for it.
I loved seeing Kitty continue to grow, trying to work out who she really is and what sort of life she actually wants. You can feel her questioning everything, whilst never quite wanting to leave that part of herself behind.
Whilst I figured out one or two of the plot points quite early on, this did not take away from the fun and enjoyment I found in reading this.

Beneath all the chaos, Katy Brent never loses sight of why these books resonate. Underneath the outrageous murders and dark humour is something surprisingly grounded. These books tap into fears so many women genuinely live with every day. The anger, the vigilance, the feeling of having your autonomy taken away. Kitty's world is obviously exaggerated, but the emotions behind it never feel completely fictional. Do not mess with a woman. There will come a point where, yes, all those late-night psychological thrillers and killer documentaries start to pay off and sound like a fun little trip to LA sounds like a perfectly reasonable idea.
Kitty shows that it can be done and will be done when push comes to shove. Just with added heartwarming charm thrown into quite the witty mystery thriller – who’d of thunk it!?

If this really is the last we see of Kitty Collins, it's a fantastic place to leave her. But if Katy Brent decides she has one more chaotic adventure left in her... I'll be first in the queue.

Thank you so much to Katy Brent & HQ Stories for sending me a copy, in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 rounded up.

I honestly didn't think I could love this series anymore, but this book proved me wrong! This is the 3rd book in the Kitty Collins series and my absolute favourite so far.

I'll admit, at the start of this book, I really wasn't sure how I felt about Kitty having an apprentice. However, despite some moments of frustration with Antoinette due to her impulsivity, I actually came to love their partnership!

Antoinette added a really fun element to this book, especially due to her sassassiness and quick wit. I loved her relationship with Kitty and how she wasn't afraid to challenge her sister, while also helping her see things from a different perspective. Shes honestly a total badass and I really hope we see more of her in the future!

I will admit though, as someone whose 32, her jokes about Kitty being old and breaking a hip because she's now 30 wounded me a little 🤣

I also really loved that this story took place in Los Angeles and that we got to meet some new characters. It really allowed us to see Kitty being challenged and growing in her "business", which I thought was a great change of pace. The new characters also had very distinct personalities that brought a lot of different dynamics to the story, which I really appreciated.

Not to mention, the idea of Kitty and Antoinette recruiting people? Love it! Makes me super excited to see where this series goes in the future.

Speaking to new characters, Cort made me laugh and I couldn't help but roll my eyes along with Kitty whenever he spoke. Can't say I was upset with his fate at the end. Toodles poodles! 😌👋🏻

Lastly, I really loved seeing how much Kitty had grown throughout this series, which this book really highlighted. It's been fun getting to know her and seeing her learn more about herself, while also seeing how her priorities may be starting to change (The surprise at the end had me smiling big!)

Overall, this was an excellent addition to the series. It kept its dark humor and fun, while also tackling some hard subjects, specifically as they relate to violence against women and the victim blaming women face within society. So, if you love female vigilantes, have a dark sense of humor, relate to female rage, and love seeing cinnamon bun men love the fuck out of their unhinged (but loveable!) women, then this book is for you!

It comes out on August 27th, 2026!

Another absolute coup from the wonder that is Katy Brent,
Storming into the bookish landscape with another episode of the Kitty Collins story - and what a pacy, intriguing and enthralling offering this is.
Set not long after the end of her previous novel, we catch up with both Kitty and half sister Antoinette predominantly in the USA seeking out the bad men that are next on their hit list. No spoilers here, as the twists and turns in this novel are captivating - but as hoped there is humour, darkness and a whole heap of heartfelt reality mixed perfectly into this story.
Securely well-developed by Brent, is the central protagonist of Kitty, who, despite this being her third outing, feels as fresh and magnetic of a character as she was in 'How To Kill Men and Get Away With It', There is the recognisable tongue in cheek attitude, sparky dialogue and suspense that presents on the surface of all of Brent's narratives, whereby the commentary and perspectives of Kitty and others is relatable and enjoyable [despite the dark circumstances of the plot!]. Yet there is heart and meaning in the undertow of the book, - Kitty is a fallible, complex female navigating heartbreak and the complexities of family life, whilst also navigating her somewhat unusual career choices. What I love and appreciate in the creation of this world, is that use of the darkly humorous overtones as Kitty and Antoinette grapple with the morality and justification of their cause - killing bad men - as a metaphor for life in general.
Readers are right there with Collins at those moments we all experience - making decisions and deciding how to move through the world and our own personal crazy. Kitty is a magic mix of the relatable woman navigating this complex modern world, and the fantastical vigilante who we can hold in incredulous esteem and with wry admiration from lives that are [hopefully!] so far removed from her circumstances. In a market saturated by the dark humour serial killer women trend, all hail Brent whose work elevates this genre trope into something with more gravitas.
To All The Men I've Killed Before - the wit, the wonder and the warmhearted chaos that is another brilliant foray into Kitty Collins' world. My only question now is - what happens next?! Loved it.

Kitty Collins is on a mission. She's determined to seek revenge on the man who brutally attacked her best friend. Kitty heads to Los Angeles on the trail of Aiden Ward, but she's not alone this time. Alongside Kitty is her newly found half-sister, Antoinette, a serial killer in training.

To All The Men I've Killed Before by Katy Brent follows on directly from I Bet You'd Look Good In A Coffin. This is the third book in the Kitty Collins series, and is definitely my favourite. While you can read them as standalone stories, I would recommend reading them in order to see the character development. I found the audiobook engrossing. I was totally consumed by the story, thanks to the wonderful narration of Victoria Morrison and Imogen Front. I found myself losing huge chunks of time as I listened to "just one more chapter".

After the events of the previous book and the end of her relationship, mellow Kitty is no more; we're back to the empowered woman determined to rid the world of predators. First and foremost, however, is her determination to avenge her friend. The perpetrator has fled to LA. and Kitty doesn't hesitate in following him. The addition of her half-sister to the storyline certainly adds to the narrative. Kitty has honed her skills over the years, but being in an unfamiliar location brings problems of its own without the added complication of Antoinette discovering how much she enjoys killing. The humour is dark and firmly tongue in cheek, but there is a strong ethical message focused around the #MeToo movement.

I did like the range of characters introduced, particularly the private investigator Travis. The array of different characters keeps you guessing as to the identity of the villain, and there are plenty of twists to add to the uncertainty. As the story sped towards the conclusion, not only was I still unsure, I was also worried for the fate of Kitty and Antoinette. The twist involving Kitty herself certainly puts a new spin on things, opening a whole host of new problems for any future books.

Kitty’s murder rules.
No one innocent.
No one vulnerable.
Don’t get caught.

Half sisters Kitty Collins and Antoinette Pemberton check into Château Marmont in West Hollywood but don’t be thinking this is a sisterly bonding trip. Oh no, this is a murder mission. The target is British therapist Aidan Ward who has legged it to LA to evade them. However, Kitty is having a great deal of trouble reining Antoinette in, as she has definitely caught the murder bug. Let’s hope (or not, depending on your point of view) this will not derail the Aidan plan, because this kill for Kitty will be the sweetest of them all, after all, it’s what she promised Tor.

This is yet another excellent instalment in this series, it’s funny, witty and smart. It’s obviously totally over the top but the humour hits the sweet spot and I laugh out loud on more than one occasion. Some of the images created are absolutely worthy of the Hollywood setting. The humour is probably very British, dry, droll and dark, as the sisters navigate Hollywood and thanks, usually to Antoinette, they get caught up in one mess after another.

For a killer Antoinette is surprisingly and remarkably sage, she makes some excellent points and so don’t feel too sorry for their targets as it’s usually exactly what they deserve! The added bonus in this latest novel is the great dynamics between the sisters as they bounce off each other, there’s great repartee and “creativity“. Kitty is darkly outrageous and excellent company and you never know what will happen next, except it’ll probably entail blood and chaos.

It’s fast paced and a smooth as chocolate read, it has good twists and I really like the end. It’s well written with really good one liners. The series is highly entertaining and it’s about time a TV channel snapped this up as it will make for terrific viewing as well as reading.

With thanks to NetGalley and especially to HQ for the much appreciated early copy in return for an honest review.

so bittersweet finishing this book and therefore this series🥲 did not want it to end one bit!!!

absolutely LOVED finally being back with my vegan feminist serial killer diva queen kitty🩷🩷🩷🩷 and getting to know antoinette more too, she’s so unhinged i love her! loved their bond so much too

love love loved the la setting!! love the fact we’ve got the chance across the series to see kitty kill in lots of different locations, adds a lot to the excitement (and stress) and la felt like a perfect place for kitty and antoinette

very glad for the loose ends from the last book to be tied up, this was honestly the perfect ending for kitty’s story, but i’m going to miss her so much!!!

of course had everything we could want in terms of kitty’s classic kills with some chaotic energy from antoinette too, and lots of fast paced and tense moments (my watch literally told me to relax at one point because i was so stressed LOL) and lots of classic kitty / katy brent humour which we LOVE

oh kitty im going to miss you so much🥲 katy brent please give us more!! or give us an antoinette spin off!!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

alllllllll the stars for this book of course, katy brent can do no wrong in my eyes <3333 my only complaint is that the series is over !!!!! i want more !!!!!!

could talk about this series and kitty collins forever, and i will recommend these books to anyone and everyone. as much as they are a comedy and unrealistic, they are a very important narration on how many awful awful men there are in this world and the fact that justice is never served and there will always be men who get away with the worst possible crimes. give me more feminist serial killers!!!!

thank you SO much to hq and netgalley for the arc, i could not be more grateful for the fact i got the chance to read this book early😭

There’s something wickedly fun about a thriller that doesn’t pretend to be polite. To All the Men I’ve Killed Before dives straight into its own chaos — sharp, irreverent, and gloriously unhinged — and somehow still manages to deliver a story with real heart beneath the bloodstains.

Our narrator’s mission is simple: track down the man who hurt her best friend and make sure he never gets the chance to do it again. What follows is a road‑trip‑turned‑revenge‑tour through LA, complete with her little sister Antoinette, who develops an alarming enthusiasm for murder and an even more alarming habit of leaving body parts around their hotel like grisly souvenirs. It’s dark, but it’s also oddly joyful — the kind of book that winks at you even as it sharpens the knife.

What really works is the voice. It’s bold, funny, and unapologetically messy, the sort of narration that feels like a late‑night confession you shouldn’t be enjoying as much as you are. The violence is outrageous, but the emotional beats land: loyalty, sisterhood, the lengths we go to for the people we love. Beneath the carnage, there’s a surprisingly tender thread about protecting your own — even if your methods are… unconventional.

The pacing snaps along, the humour cuts through the darkness at just the right moments, and the ending ties the whole wild ride together with a flourish that feels earned. It’s a thriller with attitude, a revenge story with bite, and a twisted little celebration of sisterhood.

Perfect for readers who like their crime fiction bold, bloody, and a bit mischievous — and who don’t mind cheering for a heroine who solves her problems with a shovel rather than a therapist.

This is Katy Brent's fourth book and the third in the Kitty Collins series. I have loved every one of her previous novels, so there was never any question that I was going to be returning - and it doesn't disappoint. As I have commented in previous reviews, the character of Kitty and her exploits take their inspiration from the eponymous "Sweetpea", created by C.J. Skuse. Both book series are packed with highly entertaining dark and acerbic humour, but also raise some extremely serious social issues, with a vengeance-driven anti-heroine at the heart of the story.

If you read and enjoyed the previous two outings for Kitty Collins, then you are sure to love this one too. The downside is that if you haven't read those earlier publications, then you won't really be able to fully appreciate this one, as it doesn't work well as a standalone. So, rather than missing out, I would suggest that you pick up a copy of those first two books and then you can come back for this one afterwards.

Given that this third instalment continues with similar themes and attitudes, it should come as no real surprise that it lacks some of the originality and "shock value" that was particularly evident in the series opener. By way of introducing an element of freshness, "To All the Men I've Killed Before" has Kitty being joined by her half-sister, Antoinette and the action plays out in the USA rather than the UK. Katy Brent once again displays a fluently engaging writing style that always ensures that the pages keep turning. It also means that I will certainly be back for her next offering too.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for supplying an ARC in return for an honest review.

I didn't realize that I won a third book in a trilogy, so once I realized, I actually went and bought Book 1 & 2 in order to read Book 3 without any spoilers of the first two. And I'm really glad I did. I spent my entire Saturday following Kitty along on her little murder spree, and when this one took us to LA from London, I knew a new hunting ground was just what Kitty needed, especially after the events of Book 2.

Unfortunately, while I enjoyed this one the same amount as the others, I found it a bit lackluster. We introduced a LOT of new characters, and the new setting was very different for Kitty. I feel like she 100% would not thrive in LA if she stayed there indefinitely. And the reveal of the bad guy, I unfortunately saw coming, but it was still really enjoyable. I found Antoinette to be super annoying and I wanted Kitty to have a backbone and stand up to her and not let her continuously get away with murder (literally). I also don't think we ever get a conclusion as to what happened to the producer's body...but I could be wrong.

The two tropes at the end were not my favorite tropes to read or have in books, but they were done very well. Unfortunately, the epilogue really annoyed me and I hope Brent doesn't decide to do books focusing on Antoinette, because I honestly probably won't partake. Her personality and attitude is super childish for being 20-something, and I really don't like how she doesn't appear to have a 'code' like Kitty does, and I'd prefer this type of thing from Kitty's POV, rather than Antoinette.

If a man hurt your best friend – like, really hurt her – what would you do? Key his car? Or hunt him down and chop him into little pieces? Tough decision, I know. I’ve tracked this lowlife to LA and brought my little sister Antoinette along for the ride. I'm trying not to be irritated that she's found a taste for murder and is leaving body parts all over our hotel. Because this girls’ trip needs a Hollywood ending. And of all the men I've killed before, this one will be the sweetest…

Honestly I’ve had the best time reading this series in its entirety over the past month and I feel Kitty is possibly one of my favourite ever characters - brought to life even more so by the fabulous narrators Victoria Morrison and Imogen Front who encapsulates the characters of Kitty & Antoinette completely!

This book picks up immediately where the last book ends, and whilst it can be read as a standalone, I did feel that you definitely need to have read the previous book for certain events to make a little more sense. It’s so hard to say more without revealing any spoilers but this is a fast-paced, comical and tension-filled combination that Brent’s writing style executes flawlessly.

I did figure out the twist in this one pretty early on, despite being derailed a little towards the end, but I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this title, and as with the others, I laughed out loud on several occasions as the dark comedy is consistently truly hilarious.

I am extremely sad to have reached the end of the series and although I know this is the final book, am hoping I’m right in there being a possible return for Kitty - albeit it in the sidelines maybe? - in the future, I feel from the concluding chapters we might not have quite seen the last of her somehow!

I absolutely loved the first two books in the Kitty Collins series, so it really pains me that the third (and I believe final) book just didn't live up to the first two for me. I don't typically love books with LA/Hollywood settings, and part of the reason I loved the first two was because they were so delightfully British.

Kitty and her newly discovered half-sister, Antoinette, are taking a girl's trip to track down the man who beat their friend half to death and then skipped the country. The men in LA are just as sleezy, if not worse, than London, so let's just say they get a little ✨ sidetracked ✨ There's also a serial killer on the loose targeting women with accounts on an OF like site, and the sisters get caught in their cross hairs when Antoinette goes rogue and tries to set a trap.

Some of the twists here were predictable, though I ultimately didn't see the final one coming, and other hints were so heavy handed that I almost felt nauseous too (oh no, not the unexplained nausea and feeling faint 🤦🏻‍♀️)

If this was a conclusion to the series, I would have rather had more time with the characters we already knew, rather than be introduced to a whole new cast in LA. It sounds like there's a setup for a spinoff where Antoinette takes the reigns, but I'm not sure if I'd be very interested in continuing with her as a main character, since she is just SO young and doesn't operate by the strict set of rules Kitty plays by. I still enjoyed this as a fast read and support Kitty's mission statement wholeheartedly, but thought this one focused more on Antoinette than it should have.

Kitty Collins is back, and with a vengeance! The third installment in the series is as good as ever and fans of the books are certain to love this one as much as the others. I certainly did!

I definitely think that these books should be read in order to fully appreciate the arc of Kitty's personality development over time. I am writing this with the assumption that you have read the first two, because I am including details that may spoil some of the twists and surprises in the previous books. Stop here, go read them (you will love them!), and then come back, or just go read this one too!

This story picks up immediately after where the last one ended, with Kitty and Antoinette in LA to avenge what happened to Tor before the conclusion of I Bet You'd Look Great in a Coffin. The relationship between the newly discovered half-sisters is lots of fun to watch as it develops. They get to know each other better and forge their bond through their attempts to take matters into their own hands with respect to the patriarchy and the evil men it protects. But Antoinette is a bit over-eager and sets her sights on other men besides the one who hurt Tor, causing Kitty to recalibrate her plans. Their escapades are hilarious but also very sad: women should not have to take care of the criminals who get away with their misdeeds. But rooting for the murder of bad men is the premise of this series, right?

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for providing a review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

From The Publisher:

Thoughts:

Full stop, I’ve loved Kitty Collins since I cracked the first page in How To Kill Men And Get Away With It. I loved her even more in I Bet You’d Look Good In A Coffin. And now—I honestly don’t know how she can get any better. Think Dexter meets Finlay Donovan, and you have our girl.
This series is so dark, gritty, and downright funny, and honestly, I strive to be Kitty Collins when I grow up 😏. Katy Brent does satrical prose like no other, and I love every second of it!
I loved that Kitty had an apprentice in this book and it was fun to switch up the location.
I’m excited the ending left it open for a continuation of the series and can’t wait to read more.

Thank you so much NetGalley and HarperCollins UK Audio for the ALC.

I thought it was really interesting how Kitty was, in a way, passing down her experience of killing bad men to her younger sister. Their dynamic was definitely one of my favorite parts of the book, and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship evolved throughout the story.

That said, since I haven't read the first two books, I definitely felt like I was missing some important context. There were quite a few references to previous events that went over my head, so I think I would've connected with the story much more if I'd started the series from the beginning.

I also appreciated that the book sparked conversations about complex issues, like sex by deception being a form of rape and the different ways women are manipulated, exploited, and harassed by men. I liked that it didn't present everything as black and white but instead explored the moral question of whether what the sisters were doing was truly right or wrong. Those discussions added an extra layer to the story and gave me a lot to think about.

The audiobook itself was fantastic. The narration was engaging and really brought the story to life, making it easy to stay invested. The pacing was fast, so the story moved quickly without ever feeling dragged out.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and it definitely made me want to go back and read the first two books so I can fully appreciate the characters, the history, and all the references I missed. I think I'll get even more out of the series once I experience it from the beginning.

I was so excited to receive this arc and I read it in 24 hours and was not disappointed! Thank you Katy Brent, Netgalley & the publisher for gifting me an early release copy to review.

Kitty Collins embarks on an adventure in LA with her new accomplice and gets more than what she bargained for…

As is obvious to anyone who has read my reviews of these books before, I adore Kitty Collins! It took me 3/4 of the book to work out whether I loved or hated Antoinette and I landed on loving her. She is the perfect sarcastic match to Kitty and the fact she is queer is even more exciting. The new setting of LA was fun & I liked that the story became a little more chaotic with the new characters, Agnes, Lauren, Cort & Travis. There were parts of this that made me cringe ever so slightly because of how unrealistic some storylines were, but I always remind myself, it is fiction!!!!!

The pacing of this was great and I enjoyed the Hollywood tidbits. I especially enjoyed the chemistry between Kitty & Antoinette, their relationship is a balance of love, sarcasm and chaos, it’s excellent.

I think I preferred the second one (I bet you’d look good in a coffin), as it felt more pointed and dare I say, more politically in tune with the current misogyny crisis in the UK. However, I recognise these books are dark humour with thriller elements, not political books so I can’t be mad about that. I am glad that Brent has added another level which I am hoping means another few books for the series, in the future.

Thank you to both #Netgalley and Harper 360 | HQ Digital for providing me an advance copy of Katy Brent's third and final installment in the Kitty Collins series, To All the Men I've Killed Before, in exchange for an honest review.

#ToAlltheMenIveKilledBefore follows Kitty to LA where she is traveling to "wrap-up" some loose ends after the despicable actions of a certain abusive therapist hospitalizes her best friend, Tor. This time, however, Kitty has a sidekick to serve as her avenging "murder-admin assistant", her newly discovered half-sister, Antoinette. Unlike Kitty, Antoinette lacks the finesse and foresight required for their shared hobby, leaving Kitty with double the responsibilities and twice the stress to ensure the dynamic duo are not arrested. The wild adventure commences a mere two days into the trip when Kitty returns to their Bungalow to discover a maimed A-list celebrity resting at her sister's feet (literally), prompting them to book a nearby Airbnb where they encounter an interesting set of roommates already residing on the property.

I strongly recommend clearing your schedule ahead of cracking open the final installment, or saving it for a #beach day, because to quote a popular advertising slogan, "Once you pop, the fun don't stop." While surprisingly still as entertaining as the first two books, one star docked for the slightly less comedic and more outlandish plot. Overall, four solid and well-earned gold stars.

Kitty Collins is BACK, and HQ Stories granted my wish for an early copy on NetGalley! The excitement is astronomical.

There’s something about the way Katy Brent writes this series that makes it so ridiculously easy to get invested. These books really are the ultimate slump fixers. They’re hilarious, dark, totally addictive, and somehow managing to tackle the very real issue of women still feeling unsafe around men in this day and age. I absolutely adored the first two books, and ‘To All the Men I’ve Killed Before’ brought all of those same vibes.

The third instalment had everything I’ve loved about the series so far: strong women, witty humour, a little sprinkle of romance, and, obviously, some more completely wild killings. I’ve loved following Kitty’s story throughout the series, and this one was packed with twist after twist that kept me guessing.

I’m really hoping this isn’t the last we see of Kitty because I am absolutely not ready to say goodbye yet. If you’re new to the series, though, definitely start with books one and two before picking this one up; you’ll get so much more out of Kitty’s story and the other plotlines without accidentally spoiling anything for yourself.

Thank you so much to HQ Stories for the E-ARC!

Katy Brent brings Kitty Collins back for a third time in To All the Men I’ve Killed Before. I adore a Kitty book because you know exactly what you’re in for. Brent delivers a fun, twisted, fast paced beach read you can devour quickly. Will some of the logistics of Kitty’s kills make sense? Absolutely not! But, when you put realism aside, you’ll laugh and look forward to the next misogynistic man to meet Kitty.

In the third installment, Kitty travels to Los Angeles with her new found sister Antoinette. They’re looking for Aidan Ward, the man who beat up Kitty’s best friend, Tor, in the previous book. Kitty has promised Tor that Aidan won’t hurt another woman again. While that’s the mission, Antoinette goes a little rogue looking for the WeHo Ripper, a serial killer rumored about on Reddit, who the police aren’t taking seriously.

Kitty and Antionette’s relationship is like the odd couple. Kitty is very structured and prefers research before a kill. Antoinette believes everything on the internet and is spontaneous. The clashing between them makes it difficult to move forward with their main objective. This dynamic and location shift really breathes new life into the series. It was a perfect way to end the trilogy. But I hope Brent brings Kitty back with another trilogy in the future. This series reminds me a lot of Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series and I’d love to see Kitty in several more books exploring her “hobby.”

Thank you to Harper 360 for this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
