Fear distorts our view of life! It tells us we’re not safe in God’s hands; that He’s not big enough to take care of us.
The question is, “How will you ever know, unless you push beyond the fear and experience the abundant life Jesus promised you?”
In this book, Bob Gass tells you how to conquer your financial fears, family fears, fear of sickness, and even fear of death. This book will change your life!
Easy to read, devotional in style, accessible content and large print. This is a great book for anyone suffering from anxiety. Fear, it starts, is the body's alarm clock to forewarn and protect. But often it works against us by triggering worry, distress, terror, shyness, withdrawal, apprehension and even panic attacks. Anxiety is fear that lacks a specific cause.
To trap a gazelle, a pride of young lions will often place an old, slow lion in the path. Seeing it and hearing its roar, the gazelle heads for the nearest bushes - straight into the claws of the waiting young lions. Its best prospect of escape would have been to run towards the roar.
Winston Churchill pointed out that the maxim "Nothing avails but perfection" is another way of advocating paralysis.
I highly recommend this book. Many people battle some form of fear but as the written points out we should be mastered by none. Fear if kept in its proper perspective is a tool used for protection but when allowed to move out of its its intended purpose it is no longer a weapon of protection but of a weapon of mass destruction.
Bob Bass is a delight to read. He has a way of explaining that makes that more interesting. This book has made all the difference in overcoming and dealing with ones fears, and dealing with and moving on and finding the strength inside. Beautifully written.
