All I wanted was to pull off the perfect wedding for my clients and launch my new wedding planning business.

What I got was a hot Caribbean hook-up with an older billionaire playboy during a masquerade party at the island resort I’m calling home until the wedding.

Some people might consider that a pretty good tradeoff, but that playboy happens to be my new stepbrother…and he found out it was me at the party.

If he was a good little jet-setter, he’d run off to his next destination and bedmate, but the charming asshole decides to do the exact opposite—giving himself a job working with me on the wedding.

I only have this one shot to prove to my family—and myself—that I’m good enough to make it in this business. The last thing I need is unwanted help from someone who has more money than sense.

But try telling that to my heart…

Shameless is a sizzlingly hot forbidden adult stepsiblings, age-gap, cinnamon roll hero romance. This book is for mature readers and features scenes that explore power dynamics and steamy bedroom escapades.

This standalone novel is the second in a series of spicy romances that follow the sexy billionaire owners of The White Sands Resort and their forbidden love stories.

This book was a wonderful way to kick off the year. It was the perfect blend of sweet and seriously spicy. I was smiling and swooning throughout. It's also a forbidden/step-sibling romance, which is always a favorite of mine.

The books starts off with a masquerade party where the rules are don't take off your mask, don't use your real name, and basically anything goes. IN other words, we are dropped right in to hot sex land pretty much immediately. (Thank you, Lore!)

We've got a young 20s, ambitious FMC with family dynamics issues who is tough, smart-assed and determined. We've got a late 30s hot, playboy billionaire who is actually a wonderful human being pretty much from the start (+1 for cinnamon rolls). We've got a FWB situation, always fun. All set in an island resort setting with very amusing banter.

This is my first read from Lore and I am definitely diving into her catalogue now, especially the first of the Off-Limits Lovers series (both of which can be read standalone) now that I have met the other characters. I'll be looking out for #3 and #4 for sure!

Definitely recommending this.

*Received this book as an ARC (my first!) however this is 100% my personal and honest review.*

Received this as an ARC ✨

I literally enjoyed this book from start to finish, the chemistry between the two main characters was adorable.
I was glad that I’ve finally read a book that didn’t have the “happy upbringing”. My heart beats for Avery!

I highly recommend this book ❤️❤️❤️

This book was the perfect way to start my reading year! I’ve never been a huge fan of the “golden retriever” type but Avery is a perfect book “boyfriend”… sweet, caring, gives and gives to no end. Lore does an amazing job of sending you into her books with how she writes. This book broke my heart and made me fall so head over heels in love with the main characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

This forbidden romance was everything needed 🤌🏼 I definitely loved Franzeska more than Avery but it’s only cause her bad bitch energy. But Avery doing everything just to be in her space was my favorite. 😂
Highly recommend this book

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. When I started this book, I didn't know what to expect but I was fully absorbed into the story, the emotions, the beauty of the island, the drama, the steam, the connection, it was just wonderful! It's not a short story for sure but it didn't feel long and there is a fair bit of bedroom scenes but it didn't distract from the story. There is supposed to be a taboo element- large age gap and related by their parent's marriage, but it didn't feel like an issue with me, as the 2 complemented each other, bringing out the best in the other. Their story flowed really beautifully, from lust to love as they both grew and matured and realised what they wanted and were willing to compromise to find their own HEA.

Shameless Lover is a fantastic 2nd book in the Off Limit Lovers series! It can be read as a standalone book, however I would recommend starting with Lore Townsend’s 1st book in the series; Secret Lover…. Sooo good and a great start to the series!

The characters we meet and love from Secret Lover do carry on into Shameless Lover but now we get to know more about Avery the carefree playboy of The White Sands Resort group. We are also introduced to sassy Franzesca, the wedding planner, and boy does she have plans for Avery!

Shameless Lover is a hot and spicy forbidden romance with lots of family drama, emotional turmoil, supportive friends and a Caribbean Island feel. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

The way I ate this book up! I had my fingers crossed that book 2 was going to be as good as book 1 and I was NOT disappointed.

It's a fast burn and it starts off with 🌶️in chapter 1, and it just gets better and better. While spicy, it's a surprisingly sweet story that had me all in the feels the whole book. We got spice, we got a little taboo (adult step siblings), 🍑stuff, age gap, friends with bennies!

I will volunteer as tribute for a job out on Faraday Island - HIRE ME!!

Will we continue seeing Max and his sage advice in the rest of the books? I hope so 🤞🤞 He is becoming a surprising favorite side character of mine.

Also - I am obsessed with the Taylor Swift lyrics as the dedication. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING

This book is part of the off limits book series.
I had high hopes for this book after reading the books in the series and I wasn't disappointed.
It starts at a masquerade sex party where the two mc's of the story meet and have an intimate encounter - however because the party has rules where you can't swap names or remove the masks they don't realise each others identity. The book has lots of spicy scenes.
I really enjoyed the plot and really felt for the mmc who I'd describe as a misunderstood cinnamon roll who doesn't realise how people see him until he meets and falls in love with the fmc who at times I felt didn't deserve him. Definitely worth a read.
I received an arc copy however the opinion is completely my own.

Won't regret reading this

I think I liked this book more then book 1.
Definitely will be one of the year's top reads.
It's rather spicy (and a bit taboo) but it also has a great plot. And the characters are *chefs kiss*.

This was my first Lore Townsend book and I loved it! The story was so well told, so many details. Step-brother, forbidden love trope is one I’m starting to really enjoy! It’s just so wrong that it’s kinda right at the same time.

I loved the little bubble that they were in before the wedding. It was so sweet and you could tell how badly they wanted everything to work between them. I could not put this book down!

Lucky enough to have received this as an ARC 💕

I loved getting to know Avery & Franzeska throughout this book. While totally different people, they matched perfectly with each other. While Franzeska comes from a very involved family, Avery does not and the couple has to navigate through this to better understand one another. Highly recommended!!

Shameless Lover is the second book in Townsend's Off-Limits Lovers series. The stories are interconnected but can be appreciated on their own. Like the first book, this one is a spicy, boss/employee, age-gap, alpha-male, contemporary romance. This book features Franzeska Miller and Avery Covington, one of four co-owners of the White Sands resort.

Avery is a bit of a nomad; he doesn't really have a home. When he was a little boy, his parents were never around. He was raised by the staff; they are the closest thing to what he would call family. When he was old enough, he started traveling and exploring the globe. He met new people and discovered new places, but never stayed in the same one for too long... until Franzeska (aka Fran or Franny).

Fran arrives at the White Sands resort as a woman on a mission. She is there to plan and coordinate her brother's wedding. This will be her first solo wedding and she intends to make a splash, kicking off her new company - Franzeska Events. She feels like she has a lot to prove and won't allow anyone to get in her way.

One day Avery receives a phone call from his estranged father both to let him know he got married again, but as with most of their conversations, there's a lot of pent up emotion and Avery doesn't get to hear the second part.

Avery and Fran meet on her first night in Faraday. Both attend a maskerade party - no names, no faces. The two share a very passionate night together but that's all it can be. Fran doesn't want to be distracted from her goals and she needs to maintain her focus. While Avery wants her to stay, she forces herself to leave.

Not long thereafter, Avery learns what his father didn't get to tell him. Franzeska is his stepsister! While they both quickly figure out who their masked partner was, they keep it to themselves hoping not to expose their incestuous secret.

Never having had a job before, Avery declares himself to be the White Sands new Wedding Program Director, if only to provide himself with a reason to remain by her side. Even though it makes the most sense for the two to stay apart, they have intense chemistry together and simply cannot! They therefore ignore the taboo aspect and do the only reasonable thing - they decide to be together but only until the wedding.

I had so much fun reading this story! I thought the first book was great, but this one was even better. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters' inner dialogue; it was insightful and humorous.

"She's a goddess, come to earth to bestow blessings upon me. Or kill me. Either way, it's fine."

"Please, god, let this feeling in my chest be congestive heart failure."

Like all of us, these two characters carry around baggage. I loved the way the author unpacked their respective loads. While very different from one another, the two complement each other beautifully. I also appreciated how Townsend brought the four friends together for some profound and heartfelt moments of truth. It is only in meeting, and connecting with, Fran that Avery has his eyes opened to his blessings. Similarly, for Fran, seeing herself through Avery's eyes helps her appreciate what she has.

Thank you Ms. Townsend for this delightful read filled with beautiful moments, insightful words of wisdom, and some delectable spice. I am already looking forward to reading Ben's story (Savage Lover) in June.

"But forgiveness isn't for the other person. Forgiveness is for you. You alone carry this pain, and you alone can release yourself by deciding to forgive" - my favorite quote from Shameless Lover, a story about love, forgiveness, and acceptance.
This book is Avery's story, one of The White Sands resort's four friends/co-owners on the tropical Faraday Island. He's almost forty, still masking his traumas with a carefree, handsome, single, independently wealthy playboy facade. All the money he has doesn't take away his hurt, but it makes tolerating it a lot easier. He hasn't worked a day in his life, especially since nobody in his family cares or expects anything more from him than the role he acts.
Franzeska: " I need everyone to get along because when they don't, I have to fix it. " Franzeska is sixteen years younger than Avery. She's gorgeous, ambitious, capable, and strong. Yet, her self-esteem depends on the approval of her family. She's more level-headed than Avery, focused, and goal-oriented, so it feels like she's the older one in their relationship. Add extremely complicated family dynamics, and it guarantees that these two are going to take a challenging HEA. These all are quite deep issues, yet the book is far from overly serious. On the contrary -it's fun, warm, hot, and spicy. The way it's written is absolutely enjoyable. The tropical resort and the island feel like a real place. The bond between Avery and his three lifelong friends and how they support each other is something I wish I had. The characters (Avery!!!), the plot, and the spice make it a perfect romance book.

I received a free ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Shameless Lover is book 2 in this series. Can be read without the other, but will be missing the owner dynamic that is laid out in book 1 - Secret Lover - Reina and Dom's story.

Fran has just arrived at the island and is ready to let her hair down. A rooftop party leads to an amazing night with a nameless man. Unfortunately, that is where the baggage starts to pile up and Fran has issues unboxing all of it.

I loved how Avery and Fran are practically the exact opposite in how they deal with family. Fran knuckles under and Avery runs. Both not healthy, but how will a relationship between them even work? Avery is such a breath of fresh air in how he lives in the moment, can connect to the people around him and leave their day better - as long as that person NOT his dad.

In their little island, they are the perfect team in and out of the bedroom. As the rest of the world descends on them, that have to face reality that their relationship may have that endpoint they thought it might. Both afraid of admitting their feelings and worried what the other will choose, they try to put on a brave face and enjoy they time they have, however limited it may be.

I enjoyed how much Avery disliked seeing Fran bend for her family. He only wanted her to be the strong boss lady he has come to know. Everyone deserves to have that kind of rock behind them making dreams come true.

A great addition to the series. I cannot wait to see who falls next.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Shameless Lover is the second book in Off-Limits Lovers series. This was an extremely fun, page-turning, emotion-charged and engrossing book. Shameless Lover is a sizzlingly hot forbidden adult step-siblings, age-gap, cinnamon roll hero romance. It is character driven, healing romance, knowing yourself, your worth, maturing and being willing to take risks.

Avery and Franzeska challenged one other. They complimented each other by bringing out the best in each other. Given the circumstances it seemed like fate brought them together. Their love story is layered, fast-paced, real, forbidden and emotional. Their chemistry and tension were everything. Avery and Franzeska's build-up was skillfully written. Seeing them thriving and healing together by accepting love is beautiful.

This book is very enjoyable with a storyline that will hook a reader.

“You decide now to forgive, and you will keep deciding to forgive each and every day. Some days it will be easier than others.”

This book was a lot. I cried towards the end of it because Avery deserves all the good. This book made me love Max all the more. He's so wise and is there for everyone on that island. He gives great advice.

Honestly, I absolutely adored Avery in book 1 and definitely loved him in this one. Though he annoyed the heck out of me by not just telling her. Personally, I didn't much like Fran. She wasn't bad per se, but I just couldn't connect with her, and she annoyed me so much. While Avery should have been more clear about his intentions and feelings, Fran just completely ignored them. Then, when Avery tried to explain how he was feeling, she completely dismissed them. She chose to believe the persona he had perpetuated on social media instead of the man he showed himself to be.

Im happy with them being together and her growing up, but I still feel a bit unhappy about the whole book. It was definitely a lot slower than book 1, but that's also because I didn't really like the FMC. Her family also was hard to like. Well, her brother was. I loved her mom and sister in law.

The spicy scenes were perfect, though! I absolutely loved them! The life lessons and healing thrown in were perfection. Great lessons on forgiveness, healing, and open communication with all parties.

📚✨ ARC Book Review ✨📚

Title: Shameless Lover
Author: Lore Townsend
Series: Off-Limits Lovers series

🌶 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶, 5/5
⭐ Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, 5/5

"She's a goddess, come to earth to bestow blessings upon me. Either way, it's fine." -Avery.

I have read a few of Lore's books now and they way I feel after each and every read has me in a major book hangover. I can never get enough.

Shameless Lover is the forbidden romance of stepsiblings Avery and Fran. If you've been following along with us in these Off-Limits Lovers series, you'd know that we meet this playboy rake in the first book, Secret Lover. And I am honest when I say that I had been waiting for this since then!

I was in fact apart of Lore's BETA Reading team for this too, but who's going to tell me I can't just reread it again as an ARC? I swallowed each reading whole in both sittings.

There's just something so carnal when taboo is in the mix, and what better trope is there than forbidden lovers? Sign me tf up. An age-gap to make you blush, plenty of back door action- Lore provides us with that smut of the "one-handed type of read", material.

Excited to read her next.

P.s; keep your toys charged!

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This was my first book by Lore Townsend, and although I did not read the first book in this series, it is easily readable as a standalone.

This is an age-gap, step-sibling, spicy summer romance. The ✨spice✨ in this book was off the charts but I just couldn’t stay hooked on the plot.

The story started off being very mysterious with neither person knowing who the other was, although it then later appeared as if the FMC knew the MMC well enough to have recognised him at the masquerade party - so slightly contradictory to the whole initial ‘mystery’. I would also have preferred it if the MCs had gone a while longer than they did without realising who the other was - I think it would have just added more suspense and ✨tension✨.

As I got to the middle of the book, I just felt like there were a lot of filler chapters and the story could have been halved without compromising on the plot.

As a minor side note, there were also some small grammatical errors that could have been picked up in editing. It didn’t detract from the story, however!

To summarise what I liked:

-Great spicy scenes;
-Summer vibes;
-Headstrong FMC.

What I didn’t like:

-The plot started to drag IMO;
-Filler chapters;
-Inconsistencies such as as mentioned above.

Overall, a fairly good first read from this author!

Shameless Lover took me on a wonderful ride of laughter and tears and yes, spicy hot sex.

First off, let me say that I just want to keep Avery. I love that we get so much of the story through his internal dialogues. My favorite description of this book comes from his thoughts:
“I’m in an officially unofficial kind of step-siblings with benefits relationship with my coworker and the forbidden woman of my dreams. Even I, with hearts dancing across my eyes, am not stupid enough to miss what a terrible, terrible plan this is.”

And then there is Fran. At a core level, I can understand and empathize with her, and it was a pleasure to vicariously experience her strength and passion. This girl knows what she wants and she is making it happen…despite those pesky little internal traumas that keep trying to sneak in.

Seriously, this book has a depth of psychological insight into the main characters that is rarely seen in contemporary romance. Their histories, their emotional baggage, their relationships, and their potential future are comprehensively woven into a beautifully complex story.
Kudos to the author because we really get to know Avery and Fran and become invested in their “happily ever after”.

I really enjoyed this story. I really enjoyed the first book but this is my new favorite. Having a fun night at a employee party to finding out the guy you met is your step brother has you gasping. I was screaming when the official meeting was the next day and seeing how thier relationship would unravel. If you like spicy forbidden step sibling romance then this book is for you. The banter between Franzeska and Avery was really good. The spicy scenes were really great. I enjoyed finding out more about Averys past and why he never settled down and was more of a playboy type. From wanting to hide the relationship from everyone, to making a term for how long it will last, to how it would end made me not want to put the book down. Avery and Frederick's past is relatable. A child wanting their parent to be in their life. Actually finding out why Frederick basically froze Avery out was heartbreaking. I'm glad that they finally had a heart to heart and start communicating with each other. Everyone needs and Avery in their life that will do anything for you and be by your side while you figure out who you are or help you on your business adventures. I would definitely recommend this for a quick romance read.

THIS BOOK. Hands down, EASY 5 stars. Avery + Franny = SO MANY HEARTS

The step-sibling trope is honestly not one that I have ever really thought I would be interested in but this book had me in its grips within the first two chapters and I was HOOKED. Regardless of how they were “related” in a familial way, their chemistry could not be denied.

It was like no matter what these two did, they could not ignore the magnetic pull between them. Even when they set “rules”, those rules are constantly threatened to be broken by these two in the heat of the moment. “I’m in an officially non-official kind-of step-siblings with benefits relationship with my coworker and the forbidden woman of my dreams.” Forbidden romance on multiple levels? COUNT ME IN!

While this story was quite long, it did not feel like it and when it ended, I was sad because I just wanted so much more of their relationship. They were just…..sigh….everything!

I will definitely be picking up more of Lore’s books in the future and I definitely will also be looking more into the forbidden romance trope because this was so HOT.

I fell more in love with this book than I did with the first one, I just felt the story was more dramatic and kept me on my toes. She did a great job of introducing the characters and you don’t really have to read book one to be all caught up. So much spice was added into this book, it was so good!
I didn’t think this was the next character she was going to pick to tell their story but, I’m glad she did. I’m always a sucker for the billionaire playboys, who isn’t? This one was a bit longer than the first one so it took a little longer but, still great for a summer day read by the pool! I really connected with this book too, being the black sheep of the family as well and the things the main male character, Avery, would say really stuck with me. I also like how it was more realistic than most “forbidden” romances, the main female character, Fran, would have reservations and worked through her feelings about it all. I recommend this romance to everyone, it’s sweet, spicy and a total page turner! I’m so excited to dive into book three!

🌴 ARC Review 🌴

“You are not how I expected my evening to go, you know?”

“I could say the same thing about you.”

“Says the girl with three packs of lube hidden in her dress.”

Shameless Lover : Lore Townsend
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

✔️ Age-gap
✔️ Forbidden Romance
✔️ Adult Step-siblings
✔️ Billionaire Romance
✔️ 🍑 Action
✔️ Spicy

These books never disappoint me. I absolutely adored Avery’s story. The taboo of it sucked me in from the start. It has the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The story didn’t have so much spice that the plot didn’t flow.
I couldn’t stop smiling and giggling. I liked that the MFC was very independent and focused on accomplishing her life goals but she had a sensitive side to Avery.
Avery has a lonely boy heart and struggles to let go of the past with his dad and that makes him a runner. He gave that all up for the girl though and I absolutely swooned.
Highly recommend.

This was such a cute read !! Perfect mix of sweet and spice

The story unfolds with Fran 💁🏻‍♀️, a young gal who recently graduated from college. All masked up, she finds herself at a rooftop Halloween party where she has a one-night stand with a guy. Little does she know...the guy, Avery 🙎🏻‍♂️, later discovers that his dad is marrying a new woman who happens to have a few kids of her own, including a younger daughter, Fran...!
Despite not recognizing each other at first, they quickly realize their connection from that fateful night... As they team up to coordinate the wedding, sparks fly ✨✨, and I absolutely adored witnessing their love blossom and evolve beyond their step sibling w/ benefits relationship ❤️.

This was such a fun read! Can't wait to check out more from Lore in the future.

Lore is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!!

Shameless Lover is the 2nd book in the Off-Limits Lovers Series and follows the story of Avery and Fran. The series follows 4 billionaire friends, the owners of The White Sands Resort. Each book is a standalone. no cliffhangers here!

Avery is a carefree playboy who never stays in one place too long. He never commits to ANYTHING. Not a job. Not a location. And, most certainly, not a woman!

Fran, an aspiring wedding planner, is all she wants in life is stability and to prove herself to her family.

These two are fire from page 1!! The chemistry is off the charts! I love the way both characters grow as individuals to become what they need to be together!
