Stalking is such an ugly word. I much prefer obsessively watching and watch I did. My Rosebud was breathtaking, a force to be reckoned with. Even if she didn't know it yet.

Ethan, a detective consumed by obsession, has been stalking Blake until he knows her every move. This book is so short that I’m left completely unsatisfied! It was incredibly hot, but it left me desperate for more of this trio. The story dives straight into the deep end of attraction and obsession, told mostly from Ethan’s POV—which I absolutely loved. Seeing how unraveled and obsessed he becomes is a highlight. Since their relationship is only just beginning to simmer and hasn't settled yet, I couldn't sit still while reading.

The stakes ramp up significantly toward the end, leaving me totally bereft. It finished with far too many questions and zero answers, so you bet your ass I’ll be grabbing the second book immediately to find out what happens next.

There is something about a why choose and a touch her and be unalived that I just can’t get enough of. This was my first read of this author and let just say, it won’t be my last. It was a quick and very spicy little read.

Ethan is obsessive and possessive and I loved it. He is best friends with Malcolm, but they are getting a second chance at more. But he also has his eyes on Blake. In his perfect little world, he would have them both. Ethan is a cop, I did not see that coming with his little stalker behavior. Malcolm is a rockstar with a hidden identity. They are childhood best friends.

Malcolm was a bit insecure and needy when it comes to Ethan, but he also has a sweet side. I love that Blake jumps with in and is excited to see where it’s going to go with these two hotties. But I mean,I can’t say I’d blame the girl. But then the way it ended…I need book two!!!

This was a 4.75 star read, the only thing stopping this from being a full 5 star read for me is length. I absolutely fell in love with Malcolm and Blake, Ethan is growing on me. Ethan is obsessive and possessive, Malcolm and Blake are both his but he also doesn't want to share either of them. Malcolm is sweet, needy and a little insecure, also incredibly possessive of Ethan. Blake is a bit naive, a little impulsive and a lot smitten. While this is an opener book, it is absolutely more spice than plot and I am so very here for it, 5/5 on the pepper scale. We do get some plot, character introductions and a setup to a bigger mystery. I'm excited to see what happens next!

I absolutely devoured this book!!!Itt was so delicious and very spicy!!! I loved Blake, Ethan, and Malcolm's start to their story. we get some back story of the guys. Malcolm is a masked Rockstar, Ethan is obsessed with him and Blake, and Blake is theirs. We get a tad of Ethan and Malcolm's history. There's a plot twist at the end before the book closes out which leads us into wanting the next book. If you enjoy quick steamy reads wirh MM and MFM this book is right up your alley!!

Super steamy read! Rockstar & childhood friend/ stalker/ fan romance. This story felt like the characters popped right out of the pages. The variety of pov is fantastic. I like know what each character is thinking as events take place. I am soooooo ready for part 2! eeeekkkkk!

Being a big fan of both Sleep Token and Ghost, and just masked people in general, I really enjoyed Alkaline. It's a quick, steamy read, set in one of my favorite cities, Atlanta Georgia, where we follow Ethan; a cop with secrets to spare, Malvor; the masked singer of the insanely popular band, The Mistakes, and Blake; the woman both men are obsessed with.

As I said, this novella was a very spicy and very quick read, that definitely wasn't lacking in the plot. At first, especially 'cause the heat sets in pretty quickly, I didn't think there was going to be much meat to the story (which is ok sometimes), but I was pleasantly surprised when our author was able to spin an intriguing story into all the delicious spice. I was actually pretty emotionally engaged with these 3 characters by the time I reached the end. Where I was left with my jaw on the floor due to that cliffhanger ending. Because omfg, I'm not a patient woman and waiting for book/part 2 is going to be torture!

The author and I both urge you to place your mental well-being first. No book is ever worth putting yourself in harm's way!

Now, before I go, let's talk rating's. This short, spicy tale packed a good plot with a LOT of heat. This one had me panting and fanning myself all while fogging up the windows. This could easily be a 'one handed read', if you catch my drift. *wink wink* I ate up every morsel Ms. Miri offered, and for that I'll be giving Alkaline a very hot, dripping wet 5 outta 5 🌶️'s. And the only reason my overall rating is 4.75 outta 5 ⭐'s is because I now have to wait on the second book, which I need, right now! I'm looking at you, A. Miri. 👀😆

Wow! This is my first book from this author and let me say, it will not be the last! I am obsessed.
I devoured this book in one sitting and loved every minute.

I feel head over heels in love with Ethan on the first page, he is everything and more! This man is obsessed, possessive, a little stalkish, and absolutely perfect. His connection with Mal and Blake is undeniable, scorching, and beautiful.

Blake is just an extremely relatable character that will make you want to be her bestie. The way she bloomed with these two was incredible.

Mal is the wild card, he is unhinged and knows how to drive Ethan insane, but you can feel his love and devotion. Blake is the glue that binds these two, they are just meant to be.

These three almost burned my Kindle, let’s just say that after reading this book a cold shower is definitely recommended. The spice is HOT, well written, and delicious.

The plot, the characters, the mystery, and everything else are just perfect. This book left me wanting more and I can’t wait until book two comes out!

Alkaline is an absolute scorcher! If you live for unhinged men and the woman at the center of their universe, this is a must-read. I am officially obsessed and already counting down until part two.

Ethan is obsessive, possessive, and has stalker tendencies. He's dangerous but utterly devoted to Malcolm and Blake.

Malcolm is a masked rockstar who’s unhinged in his own way. He and Ethan have a shared past—their chemistry is undeniable—and he knows exactly how to push all his buttons.

Blake is the object of Ethan and Malcolm’s obsession. She’s truly the glue that binds them together.

When all three finally unite, the temperature rises and everything seems to click into place.

Just be warned…that cliffhanger is brutal. I need the sequel immediately!

Okay listen… this one had me side-eyeing my Kindle in the best way. The vibe was dark but playful, like it knows it’s a little unhinged and just leans into it, which made it weirdly fun instead of heavy. The obsession energy was loud, because the MMC’s intensity never chills out, and the tension stayed tight the whole time so it felt like I couldn’t breathe until I hit the next chapter.

The spice was bold and messy in that addictive way where you’re like “wow okay we’re doing this??” but it still felt emotional underneath, because the connections had this clingy, desperate pull that made everything hit harder.

Super quick read, super bingeable, and definitely one of those why-choose stories that makes you grin like you’re in on a secret. I just wanted a tiny bit more depth at the end because I wasn’t ready to leave that chaotic little world yet.

Ethan is the DOM in the relationship. He is morally black. You don't mess with Blake or Malcolm. The way that Ethan interacts with both Malcolm and Blake are different. I like that they each have their own ways but then when they all get together it is like the puzzle pieces combining.

"I love when you talk dirty to me."

Ethan and Malcom are a bit more rough and ready. Blake and Ethan have a gentler dynamic. However, when all three are together that is when the temperature really rises.

If you like unhinged MMC and multiple romantic situations then, you are going to really enjoy this novella. I do want to take a moment through to point out the cliffhanger ending. I need part two now.

Obsessive and possessive

This was a quick and very spicy read. I was not ready for it to be over so quick and end in a cliffhanger.

We have Blake who has been messaging Mal for quite sometime when his band finally comes to town. Unfortunately she gets hurt and end up with Ethan protecting her.

Turns out Ethan already knew her. While missing the show she gets the encore of a lifetime even if Mal can't show her his face.

This book is a lot of spice but there is a story we are getting as well. I always love books where the men play to. Mal is such a needy bottom and I love it. The three of them are absolutely fantastic together.

That ending though left me all sorts of angry and needing more. Such a delicious start to end with such a tease.

Okay, so let's get one thing straight, this book said "plot? what plot?" and honestly? I respect it. Alkaline is basically 90% spice with a thin wrapper of story around it, and I'm not even mad about it because the spice delivers.

The MMF dynamic is genuinely so good. A. Miri writes the chemistry between all three leads in a way that feels electric and natural at the same time, which is not easy to pull off. Every scene had me fanning myself and turning the page faster than I should have. That ending. My blood pressure is still recovering. I need answers. I need the next book. I need it now.

If you're looking for a quick, spicy read to devour in one sitting this is it. Just go in knowing you're signing up for heat first, plot second ;)

Alkaline is a very short but very spicy why choose romance story that will leave you wanting more. It does end on a cliffhanger.
In this story, Malcolm, a rockstar that wears a mask, becomes obsessed with a Blake. He is unhinged. Ethan is a detective who also becomes obsessed with Blake. Ethan and Malcolm are childhood best friends. I loved the twists and turns this story takes. I love the chemistry between all three of them. Ethan defiantly has the more dominant possessive personality in this trio. But this is one of those stories where the characters really balance each other and helps with the flow of the story.
Can't wait for book 2.

Great spicy short read!!!! Make sure to read the trigger warnings..... Loved how both Malcolm and Ethan wanted to make Blake feel special after her past. Love how both Malcolm and Ethan wanted to protect Blake at all costs. The mystery of one or two people hiding in the background stalking Blake and possibly all 3 of them was a great addition. Can't wait to read what happens next!!!

I absolutely loved the premise of Alkaline. An MMF romance featuring a stalker element and a masked lead singer? That combination had me hooked from the start. The tension, the mystery, and the darker vibe gave the story a really intriguing edge.

That said, I found myself wanting a bit more emotional groundwork. I would have loved to see more development in the relationship dynamic. Specifically what makes Blake so special that both Ethan and Malcolm are so intensely drawn to her. Their devotion is clear, but I craved a deeper exploration of why. Also a prequel-style chapter showing more of Ethan and Malcolm’s past together could have added context.

At times, I felt like I’d been dropped into the middle of an already unfolding story. There’s history there, and while hints are given, I wanted more of that build-up to feel fully immersed.

However, if you’re looking for heat, this book absolutely delivers. The spice is bold, frequent, and definitely lives up to expectations. 🔥

Overall, Alkaline has a fantastic concept with high emotional and sensual intensity. I just wished for a little more depth to balance the heat.
