Plot twist

Enjoyable reading. I found myself warming up to Clara as I moved from chapter to chapter. The main character has a captivating background story and a very admirable demeanor. The last chapter was very conducive to my imagination. Glad I picked up this one. ;)

4.5 stars for clean but chilling mystery!

Novak gives the reader a likeable main character and a well thought out plot delivered in a skillful novel. Good atmosphere, a clean story as far as swears, sex and gore goes and a surprise ending reminiscent of The Bad Seed.
Because of the amount of alcohol consumption and moral decisions, I prefer to recommend this story for younger adults and older. Maybe just preference on my part.

A suspenseful novel which follows a seemingly ‘normal’ death in a care home. Would highly recommend

An excellent autumnal read which follows a mysterious (though at first seemingly normal) death in a care home. For those who have found themselves visiting care homes before, the descriptive language and story in this book will feel very familiar.

I would highly recommend this!
